DETROIT -- The woman declared by gerontology experts to be the oldest person in the world turns 116 on Saturday.
Jeralean Talley was born in Montrose, Ga., on May 23, 1899. She's been in Michigan since 1935. Relatives say she remains active and aware of what's going on around her.
Talley was named world's oldest person in April after the death of Gertrude Weaver, who passed away at the age of 116. Weaver died just five days after 117-year-old Misao Okawa died in Japan.

I'd never want to be the world's oldest person. I'd be too busy looking for that specter in the black robe sneaking up behind me. But then again, I always promised myself if I lived to see 80, I'd eat deep fried butter every day until I got called home.

It's a thing. It looks like a corndog, but by the little oily yellow residue running from it, it is indeed BUTTER. 'Murica!
