This is a fictional scenario, a "what if" statement if you will.
If a 26 year old woman were to have a 22 year old boyfriend, would that be too big? Is she too old for him? Would their families not like that? Would she look noticeably older than him?

Short answer: No!
Once people get into their 20s age gaps don't matter too much. Carlos & I are 17 years apart-I was in my early 30s when we first started dating. Tony Randell married his second wife when he was 75 and she was 25! :o :o :o So your scenario of 4 years is just a drop in the bucket.

I don't think it matters, there is no dating age gap, if you love the person, go for it no matter what the age is.

Only after both parties have reach majority age. It does not apply if either party is a minor.

There are more factors than just years in my opinion. Common interests, maturity levels, similar outlooks on life, all of these things I would think make a difference.
