I've talked to Tam and she talked to bobo last night and besides being upset that he lost LM status without being told he is also having personal issues, he said he may come back sometime.

I am glad you are back.

I completely disagree with you about the circumstances tho. I think you are too nice for your own good. The truth is you are a people pleaser and wanted to make him happy.  As a result a bunch of people got pissed off.... Our anger is not towards you and it's not your responsibility to  protect the person we are mad at...

Are we angry on your behalf? sure - whether you want us to be or not... we realize both of your parts in the incident and are not saying you don't hold some culpability into what happened but if you had never been unnecessarily approached in the first place then things never would've transpired.

I'm far from a people pleaser. In real life I nark so many people off that I've literally closed myself off to most but the very best people in the "real world". also- for anyone who comes in judging after the fact-  this is not about one isolated incident... it's years of frustration that came to a head after the last incident.

I'm still mad about a non offensive post I made years ago getting deleted just because nally didn't get the joke. I never got an apology for that from bobo or nally.

I'm not sure I remember Bobo very well. I have a horrible habit of forgetting people though if they leave for awhile. For example, if I go on hiatus from an MMORPG for a month or two, I forget the names of almost everyone on my friend's list.

Actually, one time in third grade someone moved a way for a year and then transferred back to the school. Everyone in my class remembered the person except for me. It was kind of embarrassing because the boy kept talking to me like he knew me and I just bluntly asked, "Who are you?"

Thank you for apologizing. Although it doesn't change the outcome, I am sure it is appreciated.

First off, let me say 'good for you' for finally relating that you are an Aspie. Of course, you and I have talked about this before, and I held your confidence. I hope you can appreciate my actions regarding that.

Secondly, I have to relate to you that you are not the only one dealing with being 'differently-abled'. This forum has several people who label themselves as such, myself included. I suffer from OCD. I know it doesn't even begin to compare to those who have Autism or Asberger's or developmental challenges (to name a few) however, I have learned that because something doesn't fit or doesn't make sense or doesn't look right in a certain place, it is out of my control to change it. Honestly... if I really let my OCD take control, y'all would call FOUL on me. Why? Because I really, really, REALLY want to delete ALL of the old, defunct threads. Every single one of them. Years of archived threads - GONE. Can you imagine the storm I would have to weather with those so worried about their post count?! And I really want to delete MC Hammer Pants, LTE and ALL of the repetitive board game threads. I am not joking. They do not make sense to me, they are annoying and I don't care about people's names A-Z or movie title's A-Zish. They Drive Me Nuts!!!! Fudge and Karma - don't even get me started on that popularity bullcrap... And I was an active proponent for their installation!!!! *smh

Although I actually do have the power to remove everything I just said, I realize that just because they annoy me and I don't understand the value of them, this doesn't mean that everybody else feels the same way. If I were to do it, you can believe I would no longer be a Lead Moderator. Shoot - I would most likely end up banned as well.

Lastly, and this is the one that is going to be touchy - no matter our members' abilities, we have to hold them all to the same standard. We had an Autistic member who has been banned a thousand times over because he insisted what he wanted was the right thing and that everyone else must agree. We tried reasoning with him, we tried showing him proof, we even gave him his own thread, yet he still insisted we were wrong, he was right. You have been here pretty much since the inception of the forum, so I am sure I do not need to name names in order for you to understand who I am talking about. Now, I am not comparing you to him but remember, we have to hold everyone on this forum to the same standard. I hope you work hard on your ability to handle things - as I would honestly hate to ban you.

Hard as it might be to believe, you are a valued member. We don't hate you.
