Subject: What's your favourite beer?

Written By: belmont22 on 11/06/12 at 6:47 am

I'd say my all-time favourites are a German beer called Spaten Optimator and this stout (must be the Irish in me) brewed locally here.

Generally speaking though, I'm pretty happy drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon or Coors Light. =]

Hard to say.  Guinness is good, but there are several micro and small breweries in VT that put out some real good beers, like Long Trail's double bag

I only drank beer when I was between the ages of 15 and 18 ( when I wasn't allowed ). What I drank then was Laurentide, (from Quebec)
I didn't mind it, but I actually don't like beer.. :-\\

I don't like beer either. When Carlos has one, I take a sip and that is enough for me. When I was a young, I did drink beer once in a while and it was Molsons-yes, a Canadian beer.

I'm quite fond of Molson. It's much cheaper in the States than in Canada, believe it or not! Canadian beer is more expensive, but it's also stronger so I guess it sort of is a compromise.

Beer isn't my thing.

But the closest thing to beer that I like are malt beverages, namely Mike's hard black cherry lemonades.

I am not much of a drinker and really don't like beer.  I did like Red Dog but I don't think they make it anymore.  I don't see it anywhere, anyway.

Bud light....  Sometimes with Olives in it, sometimes not, sometimes lime always ice cold (michelObe is better but way more expensive)

But i alsO love (ever since a 1999 trip to Seattle Washington) Blue Moon, with a wedge if orange!

Corona with lime is good on occasion

And I love leinenkugels summerweiss...

I hate hate hate any Sam Adams shiat.

I like Zima but haven't had it in a long time. I don't even know if they still make it.

I remember the commercials for it. Apparently they discontinued it in America in 2008. I had no idea it lasted that long! It's still in Japan actually.

Bring on the bitterness.  Bring on the hops.  Bring on the liquid arrogance.

When someone points at you and says "You - Arrogant Bastard!", the correct response is "Sure, let's have a pint!"

By the way, used beer bottles also make awesome drinking glasses.

Strawberry Wheat, it's local brewed by the Lancaster Brewery.

I like Sammy Adams and Great Lakes Brewing Company (local brewery in Cleveland). Yesterday I bought the Sam Adams "Winter Classics" variety pack and all the beers are unique. This one beer tasted like cinnamon and nutmeg ROFL. I've also had cherry beers, chocolate beers, etc. There's a lot more variety in beers than some people realize. My mom and sister on the other hand just drink Bud Light, Coors, Miller, etc. I don't mind those actually, but I like to switch it up all that stuff honestly tastes exactly the same and gets boring.

Yeah, that's actually a good American beer. I have actually ordered one of ther internet a few years ago and really liked it. When I am in the US, i often buy classic Budweiser. As for the German beers I like, you probably don't know them  ;)

Do they drink Spaten Optimator in the Vaterland or is it mostly made for the Americans? That's a pretty good brew from there.

It's not that common over here. Please don't call it "Vaterland", too - that's even more uncommon ;)
