Subject: My Choir's Christmas Concert
Written By: Henk on 12/17/11 at 5:42 am
So about two weeks ago (December 2nd), our choir did a Christmas Concert.
It's something I'd like to share with you, even though most of it is in Dutch.
But as Cat pointed out: music is a universal language. ;)
I had planned on posting this earlier, but the file host I use was being very uncooperative.
Unfortunately all files are in WMA format. This might cause some trouble.
Hope you enjoy.
1. Daar Ginds In Een Kribbe (Away In A Manger)
2. Christus Komst (Christ's Coming)

7. Hoor Je De Trompetten (With The Sound Of Trumpets)
8. La Vergine Degli Angeli
9. Gloria In Excelsis Deo
10. Kerstoratorium "Een Nieuw Begin" (A New Beginning)
A piece of music too big to fit into one file, so I cut in into pieces. Any url continues to where the next url is posted. ;)

Thank you, Cat. :)
We all had the feeling this was a very special event, where everything fell into place. It was perhaps our best concert ever.

I hope you don't mind, I downloaded EVERYTHING and I now have a folder of the concert so I can listen when things aren't as hectic.

There's no Christmas without choirs Henk, I guess.
Silent Night, Stille Nacht, is, in my heart the Christmas' sound
Thanks Henk, right now I'm away of home and this board is such a part of my soul that holds me to whatever I love.
Just an asking, are you a choir member ?
And I also downloaded some files
something to cherish.

Thank you very much everyone! :) Now I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy.
And yes, Paco, I am a choir member.

Could you say this is "music for the masses" ?
in any case I listen to them once again
And yes, Paco, I am a choir member.
That's something to be proud of.
I kind of envy you you voice-membership. Warm and fuzzy you also get me. ;)

For comparison's sake, I offer you:
With The Sound Of Trumpets - Midnight Alleluia
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPhzgBex8gY
I think we did a very nice job on that.
La Vergine Degli Angeli - Maria Callas with Choir & Orchestra of the Scala of Milan
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whM848cm_ic
Not a bad job by our choir, but clearly we should've sung much slower than we did.
And of course we didn't have Maria Callas... ::)
