Subject: Pushy advertisers...

Since I can't hide my contact info for the domain names for the websites, not only do I get copious amounts of spam from advertisers who feel my websites haven't got enough ads already, they've started calling me at home. Susan had to tell one off the other day, they must have called a half dozen times wanting to run ads on inthe00s (I guess the lack of ads on the non-archive sections of the site was just too painful for them to see).
Not a single one of these offers so far is worth even responding to either. Just the worst dregs of the web advertising companies. Even though the ad revenue has been down since 2008, I'm real glad the sites still make enough to let me avoid having to ad more ads to the site. It's usually the stuff that drives people to run ad blockers, like pop-ups, pop-unders, those green colored double underlined "glossary" type links, or "link building" link exchange crap. There's just not enough money they could possibly offer me to run any of it.
I was thinking of making a form letter rejection email to send the pushy repeat offenders.
Thank you for generic offer email you have sent me this week. This is a generic response to let you know why you need never email me again.
You advertising network contains one or more of the follow:
Pop-Up ads
Pop-Under ads
Interstitials ads
"Pretend" links
Link exhange to unrelated site
Video ads
Ads for gambling
Ads for porn
Then again, none of them are really worth spending 30 seconds to respond to. They'll just keep sending me crap in hopes I lost my ability to rationally reject their crap.
To top it off, almost every "alternative" ad network I've tried in the past has stiffed me at some point. Nothing like working for nothing to make someone else richer.
What kind of ads do you see on the web that tick you off??

The ones that look like they are Microsoft error messages, in the gray box.
The ones that keep moving down the page as you scroll down. (Seen mostly on lyrics sites I think)
The ones (I've seen some for smileys) that make noise. Nothing like trying to be quiet because someone's sleeping then all of a sudden you've got some ad yelling "HELLLOOOOO???!?!?!"

I hate the "You are the 1,000,000th visitor to this site" ads. The flashy, blinky ones. They give me a headache.
Andrea, that "HELLO??" one is the reason I leave my speakers off unless I am watching a video.

These ads get annoying, but I chuckle at the ones where you get to do stuff like "Punch the moving paparazzi in the face to win a prize" lol

I have a tendency of moving my mouse even as I'm reading. When I run the mouse over something, an ad pops up. I x it out but then when I moved the mouse to the scroll on the right side of the page, it pops up again. >:( >:( >:(
I hate when you go to a page and they have some audio ad. I have to find where it is so I can turn it off.
Oh and those annoying ones that say, "Congratulations, you won." ::)
