Subject: The countdown to Jamie McBain, leaving in the 80's, for good, maybe.

Apparently, there is secret deal going on to turn the internet into a pay per site concept, so that companies came make more cash.

This means me, being a person of really fixed income, maybe be heading off for good.
I'm sorry, that this has to be the case, but I have to think of stuff, like laundry, phone bill, clothing, food, cat food, and other necessities of life.
It's has been great talking to people on here, posting neat stuff, and generally other things.
Hopefully, this won't come to pass, but I have growing fears, that this is really becoming the case.
It will be two years, but I plan on posting stuff, that is truly epic and freaking mind blowing.
Signed, a possibly formed ex penguin, in the year 2012,
Jamie McBain, aka Penny Wise, aka Jamie Myslicki

So what does mean for Chuck? I am presuming that if this cable internet package deal. goes through that this site will be subscription based, or will he unfortunately have to close this site down for good?
???

I doubt we'll see anything nearly as draconian as the scenarios that are being touted for their shock value right now. What's more likely to occur if Net Neutrality is not enforced, is that companies like Yahoo or Google will pay ISPs to push their data to customers faster than other companies. So it's possible that sites like mine would appear slower than "professional" companies.
It's purely a money grab on the part of the ISPs, it's not like they want this for anything other than another revenue stream.

My greatest fear is this....

And that could be the same fate, that hopefully doesn't happen to this site.

...I don't know whether to be happy or depressed that someone updated it, but I'm definitely depressed that the "updated" version predates the Google/Verizon collusion.

Franken goes ballistic on Verizon, Google, Comcast, and NBCU
in case you're wondering, Al Franken is probably the only politician in Congress at the moment that is whipping up fury over this. I think the rest of them get too many donations from the entrenched interests to support the people on this one.

I don't care when Glenn Beckenstein says, I like Al Franken, he seems like he is the only out there, who has balls, to speak out against Google and Verizon's plan to cablize the Internet.

In four years, I gonna miss the whole lot of yeah, including....
Cat, Quick, ChuckyG, Howard, wildcard, Phil, nally, Al, snozberries, DoRitos, Step, Ash, Bookie, Karen, Bobby, Whistledog,
Davester, Foo, Midas, Dag, DJ, Mr. Cleveland, Danoota, Henk, Ninny, Frank, Tam, Tia, and pretty much everyone else.
I will probably make my finally decision as to if I will stay or not, here and on the internet, some time mid 2014, or later, unless some really great news happens first.
Or if some can talk me out of it.
