I don't know that this is raved about but a term heard on the news - "On the ground".  That term is worn out.  It's a military term and now everyone and anyone uses it for anything and everything.  I say deep six it.  And that is a naval term for put it where the sun don't shine.  :o

I'm not a reality show fan either... although there was one a long time (before the term 'reality show' even came to be) ago on PBS that I enjoyed.  A group of families had to live in the middle of nowhere only using things that were available in 1888.   These spoiled brat teenagers had to milk cows.  They had no phones.  No computer.  No video games.

I found it amusing.

I hate major team sports like baseball and football (although Andrus Peat is an Adonis) and those people who riot whether the team wins or loses. It's a damn team. You paid to occupy a seat. You didn't actually hit the homerun or score the touchdown but you're torching half the city?
I hate musical artists who don't really have a message other than sex, and make money...like really? Or those who curse ALOT for no good reason. My favorite band just released a new album--Not a single curse word and about half of the songs are love songs. REAL love songs. (Heaven, Forever Girl, Gotta Have You...etc.)

And I'm part of a cooking club on facebook. I've seen pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin oreos, stuffed pumpkins, pumpkin sausages...painted jack-o-lanterns for halloween. I even know a girl that sat and hot-glued crystals on a real pumpkin for a Thriller party for Halloween. And you know the pumpkin will ROT eventually. There's even a movement of PUMPKIN SPICE HAIR COLOR. You think I'm joking?

The Walking Dead--How many zombies do you have to kill? I tried to watch this show when it first came out as it used to precede Mad Men. It scared me, and I never understood it. I'm not a big tea drinker. I'm a coffee person. Now I do go for a sweet iced tea every so often, but mostly if I can get coffee, I drink coffee. I think it tastes good.  I don't drink tea and I rarely have hot coffee, when I do I put a ton of creamer in it.  I would rather have a frapp with caramel any day over coffee!  But I really love the smell of anything pumpkin.  This is a great time of year when it comes to smells.

They're still good when nostalgia kicks in but I'm over these kinds of films. But even though I personally have never liked beer and parties I enjoyed those types of films. The only partying I ever liked was Raves. And that's a completely different thing. So anyway, I can't stand movies about beer, parties and weed. So most Seth Rogen and company movies.

I agree, they're just bad influences.

One I hated was Knocked Up. The whole movie wasn't about drinking but that's what led to her getting PG. I hated her character. He wanted to be with her and be there for the baby and she was being a b***h. Too into her career as an annoying E News host to see how great he ended up being, not just a slobby drunk. She even hid her pregnancy from her job and they were shocked she didn't ever tell them. 😒

I don't remember people talking about Tiffany or Debbie Gibson's personal lives in 2001.  Debbie did get a little spotlight when Britney Spears debut in 1999 because they were being compared musically but that was it. Were people talking about Paula Abdul in 1995? I don't think anybody cared about her anymore until she was on "American Idol" in the early 2000's.
The show "Ray Donovan"-The show is about some guy in his car talking on his cell phone and cursing.
Jennifer Lopez's tabloid obsession fame from 1999-2003: She was the Kardashians of that timeframe. People were always talking about her. You would hear about her on KTU(a NYC radio station) back then. When the whole thing happened when she was dating Puff Daddy with the shooting in the nightclub you heard about it. It was a big deal in the New Jersey/New York media market. Puffy still had alot of fame in the NYC area at that time because I think he was still big into the NYC socialite scene at that time and of course Jennifer was red-hot famous. Than after she broke up with Puffy you heard about all her boyfriends that she was exclusive with. There was Chris Judd than she dumped him for Ben Afleck and than she married Mark Anthony and they got divorced. I 'm sure there were other boyfriends that I can't remember off hand that she had. I do credit or blame the tabloid media(not Jennifer herself) for the tabloid obsessions with Paris Hilton,  and The Kardashians that would follow. Of Course Jennifer actually worked for her fame unlike the the two that I mentioned.

Football... I know in a post before I had said I like it now and for a little while I kind of got into college games but really I would rather not watch any at all. People get so obsessed with it and really with all the arguments about who is best and saying, "Haha were the best." I hate when people get so defensive about their teams like you're not part of the game fool. With basketball however people are not so bad about that and that's one sport I actually truly enjoy. I know Eric thought it was cool I like football :P but I don't anymore. I don't pay all that much attention NBA anymore since my mom doesn't like to watch it so I don't get too lol I'm into college ball more than anything when it comes to the big sports. WSU is my team! But anyway, so yeah lol

Country music... Here that's the music of choice. I live and have always lived in the Plains. So farms everywhere. My former bff grew up in a country loving household on a farm. So I had to listen to it when I went there. That would have been nice had it been the 90's when Country was still a good genre. But the further the 00's came along the worse off it got. From Pop music disguising itself as Country to Hillbilly Rock. But growing up my Grandparents would play it in the car and I actually enjoyed a lot of it. Alan, George, Faith, Reba, Garth, Patricia. I even liked Leann back then. But she became a queen of pop-country and also a homewrecker... For a while I liked Carrie Underwood. Though I don't care for her anymore. But "Wasted", "Just A Dream", "Some Hearts", "So Small", and "Cowboy Casanova" are some of her songs that I like. So most "current" artists are not of my taste, with the exception of Miranda Lambert. To me she has that 80's/90's country style. There are a few guys that have been good in the 2010's but I don't think they get attention and I have no clue if they even release music anymore. One was Easton Corbin, he sounded a lot like George Strait. George is the best though. She's so far up her own butt she doesn't know whether to speak or break wind! I enjoyed her in 'Dreamgirls' and 'Austin Powers' though.

I like only a few of her songs. "Irreplaceable" and "Check On It" I actually love and Destiny's Child's first two cds were awesome. But she has a big head and she and her father made sure that she was THE star of DC. Every member of that group had talent: LaToya, LaTavia, Kelly, Farrah and Michelle. It sucks they haven't had huge careers like her. Kelly did for a little while with the Nelly song and Freddie Vs Jason but Beyonce is the only one record companies care about. It sucks. True DC fans like myself appreciate the others. Why I don't like her goes even further beyond the things I mentioned but I'm done talking about for now.

I love both. On a related note, every year around Valentines Day I like to get the chocolate heart-shaped candies from See's Candies (a chocolate candy company based in California, with stores mostly in the state) and hand them out individually to my lady friends. When I first started this tradition 20 years ago, I only would get the milk chocolates; almost ten years ago I started getting the dark chocolates as well.

Eventually, when I've got a bit of time, I'll try to take another look at Breaking Bad. It was exactly the same with Sons of Anarchy. I watched the first episode and thought it was good but I wasn't gripped enough to care about watching the second episode.

Survivor. I hate that show. This one dude got drunk and fell in a fire. Dude seriously? That's insane. Just the same with Naked And Afraid. Are these people idiots? I can see Fear Factor and shows like that for risking one's life. But Survivor and Naked And Afraid are just stupid. And people are stupid on there in general, the way they act. Just like any other Reality show.

I don't know why this annoys me, it just does.
I notice lately these black charcoal peel-off masks that clean pores are all the rage. And while thats fine and dandy, almost every single day on my social media, Twitter in particular, I get deluged with videos of this mask and it really is getting tiring watching people pull blackheads and sebaceous filaments out of their face--in EXTREME CLOSEUP--and no matter how many accounts I mute or block, they keep appearing.  :(

(As a side note, I know I'm into makeup, but I'm not into pulling my soul out of my body through my face. Some of those masks are so hard to remove, the people trying them CRY.)

How many things can go wrong with a digital encoder that you're only going to use once, twice if you're lucky, every month?  I was live streaming to talk about music and I just did it and as soon as I stopped and replayed the video ;D my face was there but there was no sound.  I think I had the audio on my encoder set up wrong.  ;D

A couple of months ago, I noticed a live feed on Youtube to this zoo with a giraffe. Back then I even watched it for a few minutes, but didn't know all the hype about it. I can't believe now two months later it's actually trending on social media because the giraffe had a baby. TWO MONTHS. People sat out and waited out the pregnancy.  :o

I like taking selfies, especially if I'm having a particularly good makeup day. (Not today, I got rained on)

Speaking of makeup, I follow alot of makeup youtubers and the one that I can't stand but everyone is drooling at the mouth about is Jeffree Star. I hate this guy/girl/it/whatever. I don't see what the hype is, he's mean, he tried to sing, he can't sing, yeah he got some decent makeup products but I can find much cheaper dupes (and really, who the hell needs a BLACK highlighter for their face?) My chief complaint with Jeffree is he had a video, that he deleted--god I don't even know if I'm using the correct pronoun--but he made some very racist comments and I've hated his ass ever since. There's too many other good, decent people I look at and follow.  :)

He is mean! He comes off as a conceited asshole! There is this other one. I don't remember his name but it's a big guy. He did this mock dream wedding photo shoot. He does good makeup but I've heard several complaints about him being an ass as well. Some YouTubers are really nice but some take it to the head. As far as makeup gurus, one I suggest is Wayne Goss. He's a sweet guy. He does some tutorials but also he gives a lot of advice. He's a professional make up artist.
