My facebook status currently has me asking for costume ideas but I thought I'd open it up to my non-facebook friends as well...

i'm going to a taping of Let's Make a Deal with Wayne Brady on April 4

That's easter Sunday- I want a costume that is not easter themed... any ideas?  It cannot be a commercially licensed figure so no super heros or cartoon characters.

I'm looking for easy but something more creative than Cowgirl, or hippie.

lol! the penguin suit is right up my alley but out of my price bracket....

the more I think of it the more I like the oompa loompa (cuz its more recognizable than Veruca)  I could just wear a brown sweater and get some one to make me the white "suspenders" that I pin to white pants... I could buy a wig at a thrift store and dye it green.... now where to find orange face paint?

For a cheapo costume just grab some dumbells as props and tell them you're a lady in weighting. :D  Then do some Matt Foley moves with the dumbells in hand to get noticed!

Take a bunch of empty miniature cereal boxes, stick plastic knives in the sides, paint with red paint or nail polish to simulate blood. Pin the boxes all over yourself.

That's fine...as long as April showers don't meet the newspaper outfit!!! That could be embarrassing!  ;D

    * Baby Wearing Bowl of Spaghetti
    * Use white cotton cloth to make a diaper big enough to fit you. Take a towel and cut a hole for your head where one side hangs longer than the other so it looks like a bib. Get a bald cap and use spray adhesive to attach cooked spaghetti (colored with food coloring to look like sauce). Then glue a bowl on top of that. You can also glue spaghetti to your bib & shirt. You might decorate your bib (I used "SPIT HAPPENS"). 


Control freak... get a lot of remote controls and attach them to myself.

I STILL say the sandwich. You should catch people's attention with that one and you wouldn't have to explain what you are (like a cereal killer  :D ) and there is no copyright infringement to worry about.

Watched Let's make a deal today.  Monty Hall made a guest appearance and "did a deal".
Seems like not a whole lot of effort was done for most of the costumes, not like back in the "old" days where they went all out.
