Hmm...
Funny, my mom keeps mentioning how Steve/Stephen/Steven is popular at the moment... Although she attributes this from commercials.

Hunter, who names a kid Hunter? You are setting the kid up to be the shadow of a drug crazed, gun-toting, space-ace. There is only one person who could pull it off

Yes, I have a niece named Madison. I've grown to like it more, but I wouldn't name my child Madison just because of how hugely popular it got.

I think Hunter is a popular name down south.
The owner of the Arby's I worked at has a daughter named Madison, she has to be @ 15 now.

There's one Madison in James's school.
Also a plethora of kids with first names that sound like last names (to me anyway). I notice this seems to happen more in the US, though its becoming a trend in the UK.

I have an Addison... We have a niece Madison and Madylinn (to make it more confusing, all 3 of those are on the same side - and my Addison was first)
I now have a nephew Parks and a niece Sophie (named after my cow Sophie) 8)

Madison entered into popular baby girl naming culture in 1984 when the mermaid leading lady in the movie 'Splash', chose the name Madison while standing in Madison Ave. I'd only just heard that a few days back.

I remember that movie. In fact, when I hear the name Madison, I do think of that movie.

Jordan is around. I know someone who named her daughter Jordan. Jordan didn't like the fact that her mother named her after someone in a soap opera and when old enough changed her name to a name that ran in the family. Good on her.

I remember back in the 80's when it was trendy for girls to have masculine first names a co-worker of mine named her baby girl "Brian-Anne".

I just saw this year's most popular names on the Morning Show. Madison was on it, along with 2 of my friends from church, Kaitlyn and Hayley.

...well, maybe he won't try to live up to the reputation of the man associated so closely with the name. I worked with a guy with a son named Hunter, they ran into problems when the boy had friends who rhymed his name, if you know what I mean.

Forget Hunter. A ridiculous name is Falcon. AKA Balloon Boy.
