I don't know if many of you know that I do have Canuck in me. My ancestors actually settled in Canada and then there was a border dispute and they ended up on the U.S. side. So, they didn't cross the border, the border crossed them. So, that side of the family became Americans by default. Because of that, I will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart for Canada.

I was lucky enough as a child to get to go on some great vacations in Canada. My parents have taken me from Ottawa all the way West to Alaska in a Winnebego... ;D  I have some really great memories of places like Jasper, Alberta...Lake Louise, Lake Moraine, Winnipeg, Banff, Calgary(one year we were there during The Stampede!)...let's just say we hit all the major cities and sites. One year we took the main highway that goes across the country and went through towns like Moosejaw, Medicine Hat, etc... Canada is a truly beautiful country, and if the situation ever came up, I would be happy to live there!  If I were ever to win the lottery, I would take Matthew on a grand vacation up there just to share the memories-I've been wanting to go back since the last time we went...There are even a lot of very friendly people there, too!  ;) I also have a very good friend that moved to Yellowknife a few years ago and we've been trying to plan a way for me to visit, but it's never worked out yet...maybe someday!!

More like Japanese/Chinese cuisine, Japanese and American technology and a whole lotta different cultures mixed in sadly with some American culture as well. But we'll get over it ;)
