Subject: Crappy Technology

Not really crappy, but one I wouldn't first recommend is the Sony Walkman Mp3 Player.  I bought one because I didn't want an iPod, and it does all I want it to do:  Play mp3s.

The cool thing about it is that you don't need any software to put stuff on to it.  Just click and drag it from your folder to Windows Media Player and it will synch to the device.  Of course, if you want to be able to delete content from it, you need the software that comes with it.  With some songs though, it won't auto-populate the song info, so you have to edit it in yourself, album cover and all, and boy is it a pain in the ass.  It is also compatible with WMA and MP4 movie files, but sometimes when you upload them, it says the file format is not supported.  Or when you get them to work, sometimes the player will just automatically turn off.  I don't think Sony fully worked all the bugs out of these; they probably just decided to rush release them to compete with the Microsoft Zune and the Apple Ipod Nano.  I am starting to think I should have bought a Zune
