I just want to start talking about it now.  What do I want to do? How about something as simple as a picnic.  We can have a talent show if some of us want to do that.

I think it would be awesome to make a east coast/west coast and everything in between meet next year in California. We were actually talking about this in Philly this past weekend. We were talking about doing something once a year, and someone suggested California, since we have so many inthe00's friends out west. I am so totally game for this! :)

right on, the water will be a steaming at about 102--103 degrees. my hot tub can accomodate up to 6 adults but then our legs might be touching  :o  4 people can sit very comfortably. i really wouldn't mind hosting a party, but Lady Di would need some convincing why I'm having 20 people over (that she does not know) over for a hot tub/bbq party

we have two in Santa barbara.... well one  is in goleta (same diff) we don't have a walmart  or Target- or  best buy (tho one's coming!!!) but we have two Borders and one Barne's and Noble.

Kind of why I mentioned a talent show if some of us didn't mind, or whatever.  I want to get stuff on video for those who can't make it.  Were not all going to be able to Come Together unfortunatly, so I say one of us in Cali start something in Cali.  Others can start stuff in their areas as well.

I'm not that far from you and my parents don't mind driving me a little for like a birthday outing or something if others would like to say hi.  Just if there were a place like a zoo, garden, shopping center, or somewhere we can meet at.

All-inclusive, and you don't have to show up for both days.  Every machine is on free-play, and I can confirm that's been the case for about 10 years.

oh man Jeff its great... its totally exclusive. You have to know a magician who performs there or be a magician to get in!

It is a "castle"/mansion in Hollywood. They have a restaurant, a close up lounge for a magic act to perform and a stage show as well. Celebs hang out there as well as those (me  ;) ) fortunate enough to be allowed in.

There is a dress code. Fortunately for me they no longer require women to wear dresses. But you have to dress nice. Men have to wear jackets (I think ties too but not sure)

Oh and any LA based tv show that has a magic themed episode was probably filmed at the magic castle.

A couple of seasons ago- my friend Jason entertained the American Idol hopefuls while they were in LA for Hollywood week.
Charlies Angels, Lois and Clark and some other shows I can't think of right  now have filmed there...

oh yeah. i see it on the list of games. a couple older 80's arcade games i don't see are Ladybug and Mr. Do, both unique in that they have the ability to give replays. when I worked for AT&T in Berkeley, we had an video game distributor provide games for our office breakroom and we had all 3 of those ^ games and we had Berzerk and and Dig Dug.

I haven't been out of the house too much, but I do hear louder and it's set up just right so the person I'm talking with is amplified.  Some people I just can't seem to pick up the tone of their voice well.  Then like I mentioned in another thread, having the right ear amplfied makes music sound worse.  Doesn't seem to help me hear Tv, computer or anything like that so I'plan to go to to church to see how many people I can hear.

My hearing aid has been adjusted since then.  Today I was able to pick up my brother, John, saying lunch to me from my door way.  Without the aid I could barley understand him if at all and he would have to yell in my ear.

That's nice. I've been up there a few times myself...most recently in '96. It's pretty nice. But my family doesn't have any big travel plans this year.

Well for me it's not just the cost that would be an issue, but the fact I've never traveled on my own, My parents wouldn't be happy with me traveling with people they don't trust, and I don't know anyone in Vegas.  I have Aunts down soulth and if I were able to make arrangments with her, I'd take the bus to the Amtrack station and take my first Amtrack ride to Thousand Oaks.  I'd get to visit with my aunt and possibly see someone or more while I'm down there.  That would work out the best for me, or if it could be a Birthday outing for me and my parents took me.

I would very much like to be a part of it, but I don't think I can afford to travel too far right now. For several years I had to cough up thousands of $$$ to pay for my college education (which is now finished, thankfully) so I don't have too much left.
