we just got back from San Jose. went and picked up Julie but she was too tired to drive so we took Di's car up and I drove Julie's car back. the right passenger side both front and rear doors are kinda smashed and a bit on the quarter panel from her acident yesterday. obvious the other kid hit her as she was in the far left lane and he was in the middle lane trying to get over and hit her. once again thank goodness she's safe and thanks everyone for your concern. unfortunately both J & Di have a cold now and I've almost gotten over mine.

I know,it happens to me during the summer,you wake up and there is a huge wasp in my window or flying in my room,I try to kill it by using my vaccum hose to suck it up but that doesn't help at all,they keep coming back,maybe it's the window mesh.

I hate bees, wasps or anything like that. When I see them, I call Carlos to come and kill them. If they have a stinger, they usually find me. Can't tell you how many times I have been stung by yellow jackets in the past couple of years or so.  :(

Your arm is gonna hurt for days.  :-\\  I remember getting a tetanus and then sitting next to someone who couldn't talk to you without poking you in the shoulder-RIGHT WHERE I GOT THAT STUPID SHOT!!!!  >:(  I finally asked him to move to the other side of me. He did and continued to poke me in the shoulder but at least it wasn't the one that I had the shot in.

Stupid frickin tax commission done pissed me off today.  I got a letter saying that they disallowed a deduction that is fine every year but apparently 2006.  Looking at the instructions, it is fine to take as well.  They are trying to get an extra $70 out of me and it ain't happening.  I am going to call and give them hell on Monday.  I tried to call today and got the message "please call back during business hours" and the damn thing hung up on me. 

If it wasn't a good deduction, why in the hell did they approve it in the first place?  They run the numbers to make sure it is okay before they send out refunds.

I just had a terrible experience at KFC/Taco Bell.  They forgot my chicken quesadilla so I had to go back.  When I got home I realized they also forgot Sarah's potato wedges, plus the quesadilla was stale and there was no chicken.  I am still pissed from the tax deal so I just went on their survey site and let them have it.  I feel much better now.

I got beat up today. 3 hour softball practice whipped my butt. tomorrow we have 3 games in Folsom, and then 2 more on Sunday and I'm not completely over that virus yet, but I'm getting better. gotta go pack for the weekend tourney as it is an overnighter. our 3rd game Saturday is at 130pm and then we're gonna go back to the hotel, shower, change, and head over to the nearby casino for a buffet and a bit of gaming (slots)  :D  I'll be back on Sunday

I finally received an update on my mom today.

Last week she went for GI series and they came back today. I have forgotten the correct terminology, so forgive me. Seems my mom is suffering from several things at once. The main concern right now is her esophagus. Apparently, where the esophagus connects with the stomach - the paloris(?) - well, it is swollen to the point that she can't eat very much and the paloris won't close. This means that when she eats, the food stays in the esophagus instead of going to the stomach. Thus causing her what feels like heartburn times 10. Also, her stomach is so empty, that when she does get soft foods down there, it is too heavy and she needs to expel it. She was prescribed acid inhibitors today and a  bunch of other prescriptions. She also now has to go see a gastroenterologist and have a scope done, plus biopsies, and then probably surgery.

Second, her blood platelets are very high and she is not producing hemoglobin. So her iron is very low and taking iron pills has done nothing to help. She doesn't however, have thrombosis. So if I remember correctly, they are going to test her bone marrow to see if there is something wrong there.

Third, she has a gall stone. Apparently she has had it for a while, and it isn't harming her in any way.

All that aside, her kidney's are in perfect working order, her blood work is great (except for what I listed), and she has lost 40lbs. The weight loss is because of her lack of eating, so they are starting her on boost or ensure and she has to eat soft foods. Good thing she likes broccoli, because I know my sister is going to steam the heck out of some and make sure mom starts eating it.

Thank goodness I am close.

ok, so I just threw out all the trash, recycle, did the dishes, figured I better do what I can before I leave 2 sick girls here and go away for a 2 day tournament  ::)  but they are looking and sounding better, so hopefully they don't get sick like I was.

Went to the pub after work last night for a catch up with all my work collegues. I had great fun, we are so damn British though and sat outside in the pub garden *just* because the sun had been out that day even though it was freezing cold!  ;D

I only had a couple of drinks but I still slept 12 hours solid last night  :o  I think it was the very last of my jetlag getting caught up......now I'm about to go food shopping and then get out in my garden for a few hours work.  :)

Wow, starting to sound like my dad.  Tam, I'm glad they are figuring out what is wrong with your mom and I hope they are able to take care of all her health issues with as few invasive procedures as possible.  I also hope it is nothing too serious.  I'm glad you are close.  Keep us posted and PM me if you need anything or want to talk.  You and your mom are definitely in my thoughts and prayers.

I slept in till 9:15  :o (which is unheard of around here as the girls were up at 7:00 and finally asked me if they could get up and play in the toy room at 7:30 - I normally get up then and make them breakfast)... I fell back to sleep  :-[  (good thing they are 5 and 7 and good girls, I might have awoke to them strolling out in the pasture with the cows).  My ears are ringing and I have a headache - think it could be a migrain :P


Tam - you and your mom are in my prayers - Glad you and her finally got some answers and things seem to be headed in the right direction.  And I know it is tough that you are still worried about the house in TX - but you being close to your mom right now is probably a blessing in disguise.  :)

Wow,what a day,the winds were insane.popping and gusting up to 50MPH and the wagons were uncontrollable.I had to stop almost a dozen wagons from hitting the cars and even that was impossible. :o

Just came back from a few hours spent at a pop culture exhibition (called Supanova). They have all sorts of old comic books and exhibitions there. I took my eldest daughter and son....

Hayden Panateriere (from Heroes) was there signing autographs as well as Richard Hatch (Apollo from Battlestar Gallactica) and Amber (can't recall her last name) who played Willow in Buffy (I think)...maybe it was Angel.  :-\\  Anyway, the only one charging for autographs was Panateriere....$50 per signing with a further $40 for a picture!  I don't like people charging $'s for that type of thing!  :)  Needless to say, I saved my money!

Just got home from my date (actually came back about 12.30 and talked then about 1:45 drove him home).  He picked me up at 6:45.  Went to Schuberg's for jazz.  Didn't eat til 9.30.  Mostly talked sports, some about ourselves (most of that was at my apt).  We're both working out tomorrow.  He asked if we can go out again, but we didn't set a specific date.  He gave me a very nice good night kiss and I came home.

This isn't going to be anything long term.  He graduates next month, is staying this summer to take a couple classes and send out job apps, then will move either back to Detroit or wherever he is hired.

I found out that the meds my doctor prescribed to me are not covered by my insurance..and I don't have the $400 it would take to pay for the pills! Ugh. I have to call them tomorrow to see if there is a substitute drug she can prescribe to me that will be covered.
