I've just bought a new car and when I insured it, the broker informed me I wasn't covered for acts of God. Imagine my anger therefore, when I looked out of my bedroom window in the early hours, and saw the Lord scratching it up the side with a key.

I had a Collie (who has since passed on) that was extremely difficult to housetrain - I had my carpets shampooed - needless to say there were stains pretty much all over it.  I called my insurance company to see if I could get the carpet replaced under my insurance.  I was told that I was not covered for "acts of god"  ??????  I was compelled to argue that I was pretty sure that I had committed no sin worthy enough to compel God to punish me by directing my overweight Collie to piss up my carpet!

After much humour and debating we both agreed that it was not "act of god" but "sudden and accidental" and therefore covered.

and yet did you REALLY do a moral inventory before taking it up with your agent? i think if we think about it we ALL have committed sins worthy of the tribulation of collie urine. particularly if god is an angry vandal who regrets his creation, as i fervently believe.
