When I was a kid a day couldn't go past with out someone sing  the Annie song "Tomorrow" to me. I heard the song before I ever saw the play...

Then Mr Rogers has that nice little ditty: "Tomorrow. Tomorrow. We'll start the day tomorrow with a smile or two."



I have a friend who'd say I'll see you tomorrow Tamarra... and her husband would bust in to fits of laughter.

Then if I called her he would say "Yesterday called for you Today"   it just gets old.


I didn't start going by Tq until 1992.  So I have friends who still call me Tamarra but most of them know I go by Tq.

Toys R Us... I was paged for customer assistance at the front of the store... there were two customers on the isle I was on... "Tamarra? That's someone's name?" Ha ha   I said... "Yeah its mine- got a problem with that?"  

Honest I am really good with customer service but I have a short fuse on this one topic.

Barnes & Noble.  I was taking a phone order. At some point during the order I identified myself (I was still going by Tamarra then) he said......Tamarra? Not yesterday or today but tomorrow????  I hung up on him. He called me back pissed off I told him I didn't appreciate him making fun of me... hmmmm he apologized.

The last one was as a police dispatcher... by this time I am going by Tq 100% of the time. If people ask me what Tq stands for I will tell them but I say Tamarra Quintana really fast with the dutch accent and everything and they just look confused and say so... Tq about this thing  ;D  

Anyway- this guy calls because he wants to report something. What he is reporting is not a crime its a maintenance issue and he is not the person responsible for the property, it was  a weekend so the person responsible for the property would call the issue in themselves on Monday... plus there was no way to know until Monday if the issue hadn't already been reported to the proper dept until maintenance opened on Monday or the responsible person could be contacted and asked.  

Anyway- this guy got mad that I wouldn't send the police for a non police issue and he wanted to complain to my supervisors. He asked my name and I said Tq... he said that's not your name I said "Sir I assure you if you call my boss on Monday and say you were dissatisfied with the service Tq gave you she will know who you mean. I am the only Tq in this department and my business cards say Tq.   ( oh I forgot to tell you guys obviously it should be T.Q.  but because I consider it  my name now I actually spell it Tq like any other person would spell their name  ;D  )

Cat is a good name for you.  It's my favorite animal anyway, so it works for me.

I sometimes admire people that are private, I wish I wouldn't blab so much about my own life online.  Sometimes my fingers get the better of me and I am constantly amazed at what people do reveal online.

You do whatever makes you comfortable, for whatever reason you please.  Most will understand and respect it.  8)
