Sorry folks ... and those who've supported me in these endeavours .. but ... I just can't be bothered with the whole silly thing anymore .... keeping track on who I 'owe' ::) / who gave me karma (a click on the mouse button ::) ).

I've been taking it a bit too seriously of late (almost chasing it :-[ ) ... as some sort of confirmation of my likeability / relative popularity ...

You like me / find me amusing ... all well and good ... but I don't feel like looking too hard to see if you're trying to send me some subtle message cos you didn't karma me today .... for whatever reason ... gave it to someone else 'in the race' ::) .... or just 'forgot' :-X ... cos you no longer find me amusing / never did / don't like or approve of my recent posts/ like someone else better ....

No, I no longer intend to look too hard, to see if you approve, or disapprove of me / my posts. I will do a 'Howard' / 'Whistledog' ... and pretty much step away from the arena ... and yes, I do know there's a bunch of others here who have long since thought 'so what' ... to the whole thing. They probably were wiser than me ... a lot sooner ! ;D

So ... once again .... please do not 'karma' me ... ESPECIALLY with ANY hope of reciprocation ........ you,re WASTING your time ! :P

Race? I never thought of it as a race. I guess maybe you have taken it too much to heart. I'm forever forgetting to give it, but on the other hand I never really check my numbers, but it does make me happy when someone tells me the gave me one. I'm going to give you one now, but try to ignore it ;)

I will 'ignore' it ... at least 'click wise' (return) ... but appreciated in spirit.

I will settle for the 'achievement' ... that in a little over a year of returning ... I DID at one point .. hold '12th' in the league (now occupied by 'Snoz' ) ... a not TOO shabby effort .... so, ... that will prop me up (the thought I do have something a number like) .... when others inevitably push me 'down' !

P.S. ... yes you ARE right ... it's a 'race' (not really) ... that has no conclusion ... never ends :P

Damn ... and I'm already feeling guilty :( .... but NO this is NO 'stunt' .... to get some (if it were ... it seems to be working ! :D ) .... but no .... my 'erstwhile' competitors will soon be relieved when they see me drop down ... and others do indeed catch on ..... that they ain't getting any back ... anymore ... from somebody who was possibly the BEST (?) 'reciprocator' here ... even if I do say so myself !    :P ;D

I didn't realise there was a race to begin with. I'm lagging behind! :D

Seriously though, in the grand scheme of things, karma count, post count...they don't matter. I mean, it's nice and all when I get karma from another member and I try to spread it around as such from time to time, but I'm not upset if I don't get any. Same way when I get smotesmat. I'm here (as I think most everyone else is) to have fun! :)

However, being one of the most smited (smoten? smeeted?) members of inthe00ze, THAT is something to be proud of! :D

I've never sent a karma and if I did I'd never stop. As far as getting them that's cool, but helping and making people laugh is what makes my live worth living. Karma cant measure that.

I don't know if you are including me as a 'competitor' or not. ??? I never saw it as a race or competition. I hand out karma to people who make me laugh or whose point of view I agree with. For ages I forgot the button was there; I'm now more aware of it is all.

Part of the time, I check to see who gave me any. Sometimes I'm not on for awhile, so I don't know. I do give back when I know who did, though. But I usually don't worry about it too much.

Hey Alan-

I never really think of the karma thing as a race. Most of the time I give it as a second thought... Like I read a post and someone says "karma" and then I'm like oh yeah.... but then I just give it to the people in that thread and I forget when I get elsewhere.

Also- I hate that 24 hour rule because I can never remember when I last gave K and who was the last recipient so I wait about two days before giving K again.

The only time I deliberately give out K is when someone actually makes me laugh out loud- which you have done on occasion- or when someone is having a really bad day.

Otherwise you just have to be lucky enough to be on the page when I think about it.... and by the way you're getting k from me whether you want it or not and I do not expect any in return.

I remember me asking to penguin mates what is that and why you gave mine.
I need somebody to squeeze me, to feel I'm alive, so I found karma a good way to kiss and squeeze everyone you like.

As a not member of English world, it would be kinda hard to me keep on posting without a shake of hands, once in a while.

No need to worry if I dont go up ahead in the list, the good thing to me is beingin the list, what obviously means I belong and enjoy this nice community.

When someone gives a kiss to me I grin with pleasure and thank them for the gesture.
Otherwise, I don't care if a wished karma don't appear, I'm an adult ( I guess :-\\) and we, the oldest, don't cry if Daddy forgot give us a sweet.

Competition is good in the track, good in the course and good in the pool, but I think is not good "inthe00s"

So give me as karma as you wanna give but don't give it away for me if before I didn't earn it :D :D :D :D

I said something similar to Pat Belle awhile back.... you get more karma when you mention the word karma without requesting karma for yourself.....

By simultaneously typing karma and specifically saying you do not want karma....you hit the motherload ;D

Yeah ... in the SHORT term. However .... once people see I'm genuine ... they ain't gonna go for a 'one-way' street (well many ... and I can't blame them ! ).

I hardly ever check to see who has given me any karma points, but I do try and leave karma at least a few times each visit here. I've never taken it too seriously, as it's just a fun tool to let people know you enjoy reading their posts. It is hard to check to see who you "owe" points, which is why I just randomly award them to people who leave posts that catch my eye. Alan, I understand your frustration, however. Especially when you probably receive several hundred points a day! ;D

Goodbye to my 'credibility'. Amongst other reasons ... let's just say .... maybe one being 'The season of good will' ... for the time being, I'm gonna try to go back to giving karma / reciprocating it, when I'm aware it's been given.

Gotta prove ... I'm not a COMPLETE grinch ! :P

Goodbye to my 'credibility'. Amongst other reasons ... let's just say .... maybe one being 'The season of good will' ... for the time being, I'm gonna try to go back to giving karma / reciprocating it, when I'm aware it's been given.

no one EXPECTS you to give karma but its always nice to receive when you feel like giving... and you don't have to announce it or anything.. just be sneaky...we may not even notice...

To tell the truth ... I used to LOVE Christmas. Particularly in the USA .... where it FEELS like Christmas .... snow ... plenty of it ... (usually) ... on the day. Of course .... before / after .... it's generally a 'pain' .... but on THAT day in particular.   8) Also ... people tend to go OVERBOARD in the Christmas lights department .... houses decorated .. on the outside, for block after block. VERY picturesque. Here .... it just feels SO commercial .... like just an excuse, for a public holiday .... almost like ANY other day.   :(
