So I'm driving home & I'm listening to the radio & there's this scientist talking about the future of Robots & how technology is developing so quickly that robots will look, feel and sound just like humans. He believes the robots will appeal to lonely people or anyone that has a need and doesn't seem good or has problems connecting with humans, that they can fall in love with them and be their companion & well.... you know  ::)  they'll be able to do it with the robot.  so the question came up. Would you have sex with a robot that looked like a human, was warm and felt like a person and could communicate with you?  and the 2nd question was, if you're in a relationship with a real person, and you had sex with a robot, would that be cheating?  fascinating stuff huh  8)

luckily for you Jason and any other takers, there will be no metal parts  ;D  thank goodness. they're supposed to be quite realistic but it's still a ways ahead in the future. it's kind of a weird proposition knowing it's a robot but if you rememeber Blade Runner, they were as real as humans. Daryl Hannah was one and some other actress and I think that's what the robot scientists are shooting for. Bicentennial Man with Robin Williams started out with him as the family robot, looking very much like a robot, and then as the years went by and technology improved, he got more and more human like until he achieved AI and looked like Mork

I think that was an episode of Twilight Zone as I recall.  A guy was doing prison time on Mars or somewhere, and they'd drop off supplies every couples years.  Well one year, the pilot dropped off a robot (that looked amazingly human) and then when the prisoners sentence was over, he had to decide whether to just stay there and die with his robot or leave his friend on the planet and enjoy his freedom.

What a dilemna!
