Well I just booked my flight to America for next March! I got a fantastic deal so I am a happy bunny!  8) Only downside is it is with an airline who are notorious for losing bags............

Sadly not, I am bridemaid at a wedding on March 22nd which I am dreading of truth be told. At least I get to gad about for a few days first.  ;D

Patty- I have a Camcorder. I think I could possibly accomplish this, even though I have NO idea how to upload anything.

Peter- Last year, I won $250, and advancement. My plan is simple: Vocally annihilate the competition, and show no mercy!

Karen- It is my standard rule to have at least 5 songs ready. That way, if someone has an identical song, I have Plans B-E.
I have decided on 3 songs so far: Kasabian's "Club Foot", Meat Loaf's "A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste", and Pablo Cruise's "Love Will Find A Way".
Not sure on the other two, as of yet.

One of my biggest problems is that there are so many songs that I do, and that I know.

I have had quite a busy week. Stayed at my mate's house and went to the gym most of the week (even while feeling a little worse for wear after a party Saturday night). I have started drawing comic strips and I feel very good. :)

Apparently, in the hoopla of what happened last year, Butte County never bothered to notify them that they even had a contest, let alone that I won it.

I now have 24 hours to get Butte County to submit my application and $250 Entry Fee (which is supposed to be budgeted).
Otherwise, I will have to fork it up myself.

I will be running in high-octane for the next 24 hours or so.

I have the afternoon off and am going to view the planning application the guy who owns the ajoining house to us has put in for 4 two bed apartments and 1 one bed aparment!?! No idea how he thinks it is all going to fit but from what i can tell we are going to be VERY overlooked and have car parking and their trash storage against our hedge.  >:(

They are supposed to have it allotted in their Annual Budget.

The CEO for the Butte Co. Fairgrounds says I was supposed to hold onto the check they gave me last year, and use it to pay for my Entry Fee this year. The check is for the exact amount of the Entry Fee.
The 1st time I won, I didn't have to pay my fee. Butte County Fairgrounds paid it, as they should.
They didn't even bother to send in the paperwork stating that I was the winner of the Butte Co. division.

I am angry enough that I have moved into the Quiet stage.
I have barely spoken out loud, since I got that telephone call a few hours ago.
However, I have contacted an editor for the Gridley paper, who informed me they are covering the County Fair.
I have also contacted some attorneys, to see whether I can sue- I know I have a case.

The Grand Prize package includes an undisclosed amount of cash, a complete makeover, vocal lessons & Round-Trip airfare to the National Talent Competition of the winner's choice. We're talking bare minimum- $25,000 or so.

Someone owes me. And someone will pay, for robbing me of the chance I won, fairly & with hard work.
I am beyond mad, P.O.'ed, and livid. I have turned quiet.
And it's the quiet ones you have to watch out for.

I have already spoken with the Gridley Herald- the local newspaper for that area.
They want me to put together the story as much as possible, and fax it to the Editor in the morning.

I am also consulting with a few attorneys to see what legal recourse I can take.
I know I have a case- and it's a valid one.

At this point, there's no way it's happening.
The meeting is tomorrow, for the State Fair people.
No applications were sent in on my behalf, and the Butte Co. CEO has made it clear that he won't lift a finger.

So- I am dissuading anyone from participating in that event. Many people know who I am, and have seen me compete.
I singlehandedly saved their asses last year, and this is the thanks I get?

Yeah I remember that their sound system went out last year and you had yours in the car and allowed them to use it free of charge to save their programs.

AFM we are slowly making a dent in our clutter-filled apartment.  Three more boxes of stuff to the thrift store today and as I mentioned earlier, a box of books to Half Price Books.  It's criminal what they pay for "trade-ins", we've probably spent close to a thousand dollars there over the past 5 years, and they give me $5 for a box of books in good condition.  But I guess that is better then just turning them in for free to a thrift store.  I probably could have sold them on e-bay, but it's such a hassle.  I tried taking some photos of some items that I AM going to try to sell, and gosh they turned out terrible.  :-[ :(  It's very discouraging.

We are suppose to find out when she's due early next week (they did some blood work)
The garage fixed the truck, but then tried to tell us we needed a whole sheesh load of things to repair and it would cost us over $900 to fix everything,we said just get the vehicle running, my husband can change the brakes himself for a lot less money.
This is the first time going to the Renaissance Fair for my husband and daughter,I went back in 1986,Missy's boyfriend lives near there and worked thaere last year. We can't wait to go especially Missy who gets to  see her  B_fri end:)

Thanks everyone,I was hoping that she would of been older when she had her first baby (She's only16,she turns 17 in Dec) but Tim & I talked it over and decided it would do no good to yell  and scream.Now that it's offical we are looking forward to everything. We are suppose to find out when she's due early next week (they did some blood work)
The garage fixed the truck, but then tried to tell us we needed a whole sheesh load of things to repair and it would cost us over $900 to fix everything,we said just get the vehicle running, my husband can change the brakes himself for a lot less money.
This is the first time going to the Renaissance Fair for my husband and daughter,I went back in 1986,Missy's boyfriend lives near there and worked thaere last year. We can't wait to go especially Missy who gets to  see her  B_fri end:)

Yes Janine....worrying and exciting news all wrapped in one parcel. I am glad that Missy would never had considered an abortion and it's great that the baby will have such a young grandma ...... ;)   What else can be done but to offer love and support?  :)

Went to my step-daughter's & step-son's NEW house for a housewarming/birthday party for my granddaughter. 5 years old-unbelievable. I gave them a very special housewarming gift, my grandmother's cookbook. Not only did it belong to her and she had written notes it in, she WROTE the book. I was hoping that they would realize that this was very special to me. They both had the same reaction, "Cool" and I got a hug from both of them. I actually gave it to them without crying but I was getting teary eyed. I really miss her.

Sometimes people need a wake up call when it comes to their childrens' behavior.  You shouldn't have to tolerate crap in your own home,  but then again, she is probably that way because of the parents.

I can't say that it was TOO hard to part with because I have several copies myself, including ones that were signed to me, plus I just acquired the ones that she signed to her parents. Everyone in the family has at least 1 copy-and some (like myself) have many copies. One of my sisters acquired THE cookbook-the one that was pieced together before it went to printing, because she is the only one in the family who actually cooks.

I've been on vacation for the past two weeks, Howard. We've been to a small village in the eastern part of our country and spent our time exploring the surroundings. Pictures (soon) to follow - I hope.

We went to the aquarium today.  It was cool, the octopus was very active.  Last time we went he was in hiding so it was fun to watch.  Got a real good view of the suction cups on his tentacles.

How awful was the weather? ???

We went to the Renaissance fair on Saturday,I wasn't there long enough to make an opinion.Tim was in a foul mood because it took us 20 minutes to go 2 miles to park.Once we got in we only took in 2 shows..Johnny Fox(a magican & sword swallower) & the armour joust.I wanted to watch more acts,but was out voted >:( So we drove for about one and a half hours to get there and spent less than two hours there,the only good part was that Missy's boyfriend lives about 5 miles from there,so she is spending some time with him.

The health center were we took Missy called on Friday and said that she is between 5-8 weeks along.Missy & I thought it was closer to 8.Then Monday I get another call from a different nurse and she says that she's between 11-13 weeks.Now we won't know for sure till Tim gets his insurance and we can see a OB/GYN..This is the time she needs to start seeing one.Tim told his boss 3 times last week to bring in the paper work,but he still hasn't >:(

Well....I had a freaking endometrial biopsy done today....and it hurt like a beatch. :(

I hate to have my heart broken but later in the afternoon today,one of my buddies Shaquan told me that Kamika is seeing someone and that really crushed me deep inside.After 6 months from my breakup with Robin,I was hoping my buddies could help me persue Kamika and ask her out for breakfast,lunch or dinner.Shaquan also told me that she just wants to be friends.Man,For me this year,It's been one heartbreak after another.Oh well,Maybe my buddies could help me find another girl or I'll just go on my own,Well so much for that situation. :(

I, too, have PCOS (I suspect I've had it for a long time, but only recently got diagnosed with it.)  It's almost a relief to be diagnosed with it.  Surprisingly, one of my diabetes medications, Metformin, helps with this condition.  Weird, isn't it?

It was pretty local, Phil. We walked around Mount Edgecomb which is a short ferry ride away, wading through mud, trees and puddles. A little dog from another owner tried to attack me towards the end of my journey. I was so tempted to give it a good kick up the arse, lol.

I am very sorry to hear the results weren't what you wanted, Howard. You are feeling 'heartbroken' for at least four reasons:

1. You didn't want to accept that Kamika could be involved with someone else.

2. You built this situation into more than it was, even suggesting it was a relationship at one point. It's only a relationship if you both agree that it is one.

3. You took far too much time asking her out, making the end result worse for you than it should have been (you took how many weeks to do something that should have taken moments).

4. Getting deeper, Kamika was merely a 'deliverance' from your single life. Instead of getting out there and doing things that will encourage the search for single women, you relied on Kamika because she was right in front of you.

Another thing, Howard. Why are you relying on your buddies to help get you a girlfriend? Women don't go for that approach because it makes you look dependent and weak. You should only be relying on yourself to find a girlfriend.

I think maybe you ought to be taking this dating thing one step at a time. Instead of focusing on asking women out and relationships, you could start focusing on saying hello and building a conversation and rapport with women, showing some confidence and humour and finding out much sooner if the woman you are interested in is available or not.

I suggested to you to take action there and then rather than wait for something to happen. There is no such thing as a perfect opportunity and it only takes a second to change a person's status to unnavailable.

Kamika may not have been in a relationship six months ago and was probably waiting for you to take her out then. It is also reasonable for her to think you wanted to go out for a drink as a friend.

She may have wanted to spare your feelings and reject you lightly but, if you are to find somebody, you ought to expect to go through rejection repeatedly, it will toughen you up emotionally.

If you decided to go out and find yourself some single ladies to date you would not feel 'heartbroken' towards Kamika as you would be too busy concentrating on the others.

Howard...maybe she just wanted to be friends with you all along, and just didn't know how to tell you. Not everyone clicks in that sort of "relationship" way....this is probably why it seemed like the two of you couldn't get together. What's wrong with being friends? That's a great way to start out and get to know someone. Remember...there are a lot of other girls out there...you have to get out there yourself and not be shy about saying hello to people, etc.

Howard, you know it is possible to be friends with someone of the opposite sex without it leading to a relationship.  Kamika didn't do anything mean to you, she just is already seeing someone.  Don't go into a friendship assuming that it will be a relationship then you won't get hurt so easily.  You kind of brought this on yourself by planning out the whole thing before you even asked her out.  You are acting as if she cheated on you and that isn't fair to her.

Very true, also you get to know one new person, become friends and then maybe go out socially with them. Which means you get to meet some of their friends which can be a very good way of meeting someone to go out with!

That's how I met Himself. He was a friend of one of my sister's friends, we all met up in a club one night and we two really hit it off, we met up a few more times in a group of people then ended up going out for a drink on our own and the rest is histroy as they say!

You don't have to answer me,but why are you relying on your friends to help you find a girl?  If you want a girl then go for it.  She is not going to wait for you and your friends are not going to make anything happen for you.

This is your ego speaking. Kamika didn't lead you on because you didn't ask her out. I can only guess she would have told you the situation straight if you did. Maybe I can help you see things in another perspective?

1. Okay, Kamika may be unnavailable but she could possibly have friends who are available. Even if she doesn't have friends who are available, you can never have enough friends of the opposite sex because, if you ask women for advice, they are usually ready to give it so you can improve yourself as a person and have an increased chance of finding a girlfriend.

2. If you lose your friendship with Kamika, she may think you only wanted to know her because there was a chance of asking her out.

You are not angry at Kamika. You are angry at yourself for feeling a bit foolish and letting your imagination carry you away.

As Dagny pointed out, assuming a woman is going to be your girlfriend is definitely the wrong approach because you already have an outcome set in your mind and if that outcome isn't matched in reality it will hurt you. Expect nothing and you will feel natural and be yourself more when it comes to talking with women.

However, the important thing is not to concentrate on women or relationships but concentrate on and love yourself first and foremost.

They have been talking about it on the news and they said the same thing that the help from volunteers and donations have been enormous...I really don't know much about the family,only that he got hurt in construction and teaches kids to box for free.Yesterday they demolished the house,so now they have till Sunday to build a new one.If I heard right this episode will air in November

Anyways, today I began doing a reading assignment for this online math class that I am taking. I got the info I needed from the class web site, (which included some helpful hints on what to look for in the reading), and I spent part of the afternoon doing that. I am also still in the process of finding jobs.

I am feeling better today, but still feel the back and everything that goes with it. I am have decided that if I do anything at the computer today, it will be only here on these boards, I am taking a break for the usual.

A good thing to do is presume the girl you are talking with already has a boyfriend/husband. I tend to drop in a line that automatically makes a woman give me information about her availability like; 'I bet your boyfriend isn't happy with that' with a mischievious chuckle or 'What does your boyfriend think about that?'

She will either tell me what her boyfriend thinks or tell me it doesn't matter because she hasn't got one. ;)

We went to Virginia.  First we went to Richmond and did a bit of Civil War wandering.  We visited The Museum of the Confederacy, the Confederate White House and The Tregadar Iron Works. The museums were more fair and balanced than I thought they would be, they actually are starting to come to terms with the fact that they did indeed lose the war.  One day in Richmond was followed by 3 in Virginia Beach and that was fantastic.  The water was walk right in warm, the waves were spectacular, even crabby Sig admitted that it is a good place, we went last year, again this year, and already plan on going again next year  :)

I'm glad you had a nice time Danoota.  I absolutely love Virginia Beach, although I haven't been there in a good 20 years or so.  It just seems like a clean and less crowded version of a more popular Myrtle Beach.  They have an awesome aquarium there.

First of all, nothing happens if a conversation isn't started first so your first step is to get used to approaching ladies in a confident manner and simply saying 'hello'. Technically, there is nothing wrong with asking a girl outright if she has a boyfriend/husband IF it plays a part in the conversation and you are comfortable with each other but it takes a lot of confidence to pull that off successfully. If you are going to use the subtle approach, you can only slip the questions into a personal topic, otherwise it will sound forced if the conversation goes like:

Girl: 'I had cereal for breakfast'
You: 'What does your boyfriend think of that?'

Would you agree that is the wrong time to ask? It's these kind of situations when you can ask boyfriend related questions . . .

Girl: 'I had an accident with the car the other day'
You: 'What did your boyfriend think of that?'

Another example . . .

Girl: 'I need to earn more money'
You: 'What does your boyfriend do for a living?'

There are lots of ways you can get an idea of her availability if you listen attentively to what she is saying (sometimes it only takes asking a woman a question and you can't stop her talking, lol) and even practise your conversation beforehand so you can feel more confident. If you keep doing what you always do, you will keep getting the result you have always got.

As for being nosey, this is where confidence comes in. Yes it is being nosey but it's also showing the girl you are interested in her as a person which is a good thing whether it is making friends or gaining a girlfriend. I believe as long as you are not asking her about sexually explicit things, there aren't many boundaries if you ask in a respectable manner - it's not usually what you ask but how you ask it. If a lady says; 'if you don't mind, I would rather not talk about it' respect it.

I'm glad you had a nice time Danoota.  I absolutely love Virginia Beach, although I haven't been there in a good 20 years or so.  It just seems like a clean and less crowded version of a more popular Myrtle Beach.  They have an awesome aquarium there.

I would love to go back someday.

Hi Krissy! Haven't seen you in a while.

I've only been to Santa Cruz once in my life...namely, 17 years ago this month with my family. We went to the beach then, and as I recall, it seemed pretty relaxing. :)

I'll be playing in a softball tournament all day tomorrow and 1/2 day Sunday at the Big League Dreams sports complex. they have 6 replica fields of Major League baseball parks, first game in the morning at 8am, too early for my liking. the complex is amazing, and huge. there are 31 teams in our tourney, top 4 teams will playoff on Sunday and then championship game. I'm gonna have fun  8)

Well Timmy has left for college,I was sad, but at least I wasn't the blubbering idiot I was last year when he left.

I had a twinge in my back getting out of the car this morning and I almost feel like last Thursday again, but sitting (keeping still) I do not feel it much.

Meh.  Just meh.

Woke up badly today.  My daughter came screaming into my room to tel me the hamster got out of his cage.  There are a couple of holes at the top for tubes that weren't covered.  I told her she should cover them because he could climb up the side of the cage and get out.  Well, now she believes me.  We found him, thank goodness.  I hate waking up like that.

Yesterday, we got my step-daughter's house right on time-that was booking it without any traffic. We have to remember that it now takes 2 hours to get there instead of an hour and a half that it took to get to her last place. Carlos' ex was there, too. How nice.  ::)  I know, I know-she has never been anything but nice & civil to me but I don't know what to say to her nor can I relate to her in anyway. Well, we headed into town with my step-daughter. As soon as we found a parking spot and got out of car, who do I see standing in the same parking lot was our congressman.  :o I was surprised. He was with a few people ready to go for a bike ride. We stood in the parking lot for a few saving a space for my step-son's girl friend who was right behind us. (No, we didn't even say hello to our congressman.)

The show was GREAT. There were a few dances I didn't care for (modern style), but of course the one that my step-son danced/choreographed was outstanding (but then again, I could be a bit bias  ;) ). After the show, they had a bit of a reception there at the theatre and we had some eats. Then we went out to a local bar to celebrate. I ordered my usual fuzzy navel. When it came time to order my second, I was told that they were out of peach schnapps.  :o :o :o I was SOOOOO upset. I didn't know what to order because my heart was set on a fuzzy navel. My step-son suggested pineapple juice & vodka. I said, "Sure, what the hell." MISTAKE!!! I realize why I don't drink vodka-I hate vodka. What the hell was I thinking?!!! I made a comment to the waitress (half joking) about having that vodka drink on the house since they were out of the peach schnapps. At first she walked by as if he totally ignored my joke. Oh, well. It didn't go over that well. Then later she came back with my drink and said that it would be on the house. How nice. When we got the bill, we noticed that she also took off the fuzzy navel too.  ;D ;D ;D I'm sure it helped that she was a friend of my step-son. I gave my step-son half of the second drink because I just couldn't drink it.  8-P

We took my step-son's car back to the house. He finally came in about 8:30 this morning to change his clothes and to head out to work. AH, to be young again. We had breakfast with my step-daughter & granddaughter. And then said good-bye & came home.

It's cool that you got it worked out Howard.  You took some action for yourself and I'm sure you have noticed that asking for help in a situation like this usually makes things worse.  You need to do it yourself and you need to make sure you are thinking clearly when you do.

Normally, I wouldn't put too much stock in that, but I saw that this new CEO is getting jumped in a few directions.
There was a problem with one of the Livestock competitions, and they couldn't hold the swimming competitions because the pool was in such poor shape.
Of course, the Gridley City Council is trying to cover their own butts, and they claim they will "look into the matter".

I have been thinking about heading for Small Claims Court, if I can't get an attorney to take the case.

We went to the Renaissance fair on Saturday,I wasn't there long enough to make an opinion.Tim was in a foul mood because it took us 20 minutes to go 2 miles to park.Once we got in we only took in 2 shows..Johnny Fox(a magican & sword swallower) & the armour joust.I wanted to watch more acts,but was out voted >:( So we drove for about one and a half hours to get there and spent less than two hours there,the only good part was that Missy's boyfriend lives about 5 miles from there,so she is spending some time with him.

The health center were we took Missy called on Friday and said that she is between 5-8 weeks along.Missy & I thought it was closer to 8.Then Monday I get another call from a different nurse and she says that she's between 11-13 weeks.Now we won't know for sure till Tim gets his insurance and we can see a OB/GYN..This is the time she needs to start seeing one.Tim told his boss 3 times last week to bring in the paper work,but he still hasn't >:(

I am very proud of the conversation you had with Kamika the other day. Dare I say it's the most responsible action, and adult action I've seen you take since breaking up with Robin.  It's great that you were able to talk with her and get your feelings out without blowing them out of proportion.


Next time tell your friends to mind their own business really! see how they sort of messed this one up for you. The conversation you had with Kamika is proof you know what you're doing and you're better off doing it alone.

No,No I wasn't stalking her,I just thought it was funny that I kept seeing her on the bus I take to work,the same time and same stop,It was kind of interesting and I thought it was fate all this time.

Maybe so, but how you handle this depends on your thinking. See, I liked someone before and we stayed friends (I guess the difference between this situation and yours was the feeling was mutual previous). I tried to accept friendship but it didn't work out that way and I got frustrated that the friendship would never turn into more. As a result, the friendship deteriorated and was lost - this reflects more on me as a person than anyone else and something I have changed within.

We saw loads of great wildlife and lots of wonderful scenery.

With each girlfriend,I'm learning something new from them whether it be their quirks and idiosyncrasies or their teachings and loving them for who they are not for what they are.
If she happens to become my girl,this would be my 3rd over the past 11 years and with each one,one of them wanted something out of me,one wanted a wedding ring/engagement ring after the both of us went out for so long,Robin wanted me to make more money and save it all and we'll see about the next one,maybe she'll be different than the others.

Yes, I first went to Santa Cruz when I was 10, a second time when I was 16 and a couple times since then. Always fun to visit. Nice beach, fun rides, and the downtown is fun to explore.

We went to see my hubby's doctor the other day and when he came in, he called him "the incredibly shrinking man" because he's lost so much weight in the past 6 months.  I'm so proud of him.  He's lost about 60 pounds so far.  His A1C (has to do with his sugar levels for his diabetes) is so good now, he's practically normal.  Hurrah!

I, on the other hand, am on a downward spiral, I think I've gained what he lost.  I feel so puffy and my feet and legs are swelled up like little Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade floats.  Not appealing.  Makes walking hard.  Oh well...more time on the computer for me.  Muhahaha

Actually, I'm gonna look into a diet supplement that Q suggested, and I'm trying to motivate myself to get out and walk since...ah who am I kidding?  I need to do this so I don't eat myself to death. 

We are 99% positive that we are getting a house when we move at lease end in November.  Hubby's uncle just bought his neighbor's house for a song and is allowing us to rent to own.  So back to Pittsburgh for us (again).  I like it where I am now, but one cannot overlook opportunity when it presents itself I guess.

I don't know,maybe something popped into my head that I just wanted to be generous for a moment.I overheard my friend Kamika talk about cigarettes and that she doesn't have any so I asked her If I could buy her a pack of them and she said no it's ok so I felt bad and insisted and then went right across the street to the candy store to buy her a pack of Newports and she hugged me later.My buddy Preston thinks that she might take advantage of me later on and one day might ask me for money,I hope this doesn't lead to being taken advantage of or being stepped on like a doormat just because I have money. :-\\

To all of you who are losing weight....I say, CONGRATS! I too have been on the weight losing bandwagon. I've lost about 32 pounds so far (I had gained some back from last fall..but have lost all of it again). I feel really great. I still have some to go..but I am confident that it will happen.

You can find out if she's more interested in you or your money.  Your intent was not bad so you have nothing to worry about. Just say NO to her if she is after money.

Ladies on the "Fitness Train": Good job! Keep it up! I am also working on reduction, and in the last month, I have (unofficially) lost 12 lbs. myself.
(I say unofficially, because I have not consulted the Dr.'s scale, yet. I have consulted a home scale)

TQ & Pat- When I saw my article printed in the Gridley Herald, it seems I am not the only one with complaints against this CEO.
There were 2 competitors in a Livestock competition that were disqualified for bogus reasons. There was also a swimming competition that was cancelled because the swimming pool was in very crappy shape. The Gridley City Council are responding quickly to the matter- meaning, they're covering their own dupas.
I rather get the feeling that the Gridley Fairgrounds are either going to have to fire the CEO & get a better one, or they'll be facing several Small Claims Courts cases.

Do you have high blood pressure?  That might be causing the swelling.


Sorta, I mean, I take medicine for it, but it's not hugely high, just higher then they'd like it to be for a diabetic.  *shrugs her shoulders*

I didn't know that that was a sign of high blood pressure.  hmmm.  I should probably read more about my conditions, but sometimes I'm frightened about what I'll learn.  I tend to stick my head in the sand at times.  It's way easier then dealing with stuff.  ;D



I've been really busy tonight sorting clothes.  I've got three big boxes of clothes to go to Salvation Army and I've still got tons of clothes.  lol  When we went to the laundrymat last night, we just left most of the clean clothes in the car so that I'd have room to sort the other stuff.  My hubby came up with that idea and it was brilliant!  It was soooo hard for me to get rid of anything!  I'm really trying hard to not get emotionally attached to junk, because I really hate moving, and the less stuff I have to move, the better.
Next up, I'm going thru my books, computer software, music CDs and videos and really being ruthless.  It's really amazing what you accumulate over the years.

What about if I gave her maybe a dollar or 2 but nothing like a 10 or 20? If I do good things for her,maybe she can return the favor later on in the future.

No....if she asks for money loan her up to maybe 5 bucks until payday.  See if she pays it back.  If she doesn't pay you back promptly she is using you.  If she continually asks for loans she has a problem, don't make it yours.

Now that the school holidays are nearly over I was starting to think about going back to the UK to see my mum.  So I rang my dad yesterday to talk to him about it.  He said he was about to ring me.  To let me know that my mum died on Thursday.  He didn't ring earlier so that my holiday and birthday weren't spoilt.

So we are all flying out soon for the funeral next Thursday.  I honestly thought I had more time.

I agree with Danoota, you are not seeing the wood for the trees. You are not doing good things to be nice, you are doing good things to bribe Kamika for her interest - aren't you worth more than this cheap attempt at approval-seeking? There aren't many women out there who are attracted to men who are trying to win their approval and, more often than not, merely take advantage of this supposed generosity.

Look inside your heart and show ANY WOMAN what kind of a man you are and not what is in your wallet.
