Subject: Botox-Would you ever use it?
Written By: tv on 07/16/08 at 5:37 pm
I have seen people on TV who have gotten botox and they look kinda silly to me. I mean a 40 year old female having the flawless skin of a 15 year old. I mean I understand these people are on TV and they need to look good but they end up looking silly with these botox treatments. So would you ever consider getting botox?

Botox is stupid. They made fun of this on an episode of "My Wife and Kids" where the Kyle family got suckered into getting Botox, but the guy giving it to them didn't know what he was doing, so their faces al ballooned up and froze ;D

Not for me. Plus, I just don't want something injected into my face - who knows what could happen 20 or even 40 years down the road. Can you imagine what some of those people are going to look like when they're 90?

I'm sure I wouldn't, at least not yet ::) did you ever see that Geraldo Rivera several show years ago when he had shots injected into his forehead. I'm not sure it was botox. I think it was fat injected to do the same thing as botox, smooth out the wrinkles. anyway the injection was very painful in his forehead and it bled and he had to make the guy stop because it hurt.

I never would. There are safe ways to stay young. Also- I see people that obviously are using botox or some other method of um.....appearance manipulation...and it's awful. Looks so bad. Why do that to yourself? Your face is the map of what you've done in life! Leave it alone and be proud of yourself.

Imagine injecting poison into your face to look younger, nope not for me. :D
I would freak when the needle got close anyway.r

Yeah, it's one thing to look youthful or younger than your age, but it looks silly when it's exaggerated like that. Plus, you can pretty much always tell when people have it 'cause it looks so unnatural.
I think the best way to look younger is subtly or with small modifications. I mean Paula Abdul just turned 46 and could still pass for late twenties or 30ish imo (maybe being a dancer has helped though?).

Do you think she hasn't had anything done to help her? I'd bet money that she has. She had a nosejob in younger years, I don't think she'd be opposed to some shots in her face.

If she's 46 and looks like that you bet she had botox or some even weirder thing. Dance has nothing to it,her face looks totally fake to me ::)

I have an acute case of needle-itis. If I don't HAVE to have a needle, this lady is NOT getting one. And why would anyone want to inject toxins into their body-and then they have a few things to say about drug addicts. ::) Oh, maybe they ARE drug addicts and love the needles.

Oh I wouldn't doubt she's had some minor work done, I bet every celebrity (and lots of average joes) have. But some people just naturally age better than others, or hang onto their youth longer. My family ages very well (maybe it's because of some Asian blood) and lots of us get mistaken for being younger than we really are.
I think a dead giveaway that someone has had work done is if they look a certain way, then out of nowhere it's totally different, or they drop ten years in their face.
I could be wrong, but from what I can tell, Paula has basically looked the same over the years, without any major "jumps". Especially when she was kinda out of the spotlight in the late '90s and up to 2002 (after her music career faded and before Idol). I think that's when lots of people let themselves go a bit, because they dont have the constant public demands anymore.
Speaking of botox though, there was this lady (probably 40ish) who came into the store I used to work at, and it was totally obvious from a mile away that she had it. Her lips especially were gross and a bunch of us called her "botox lady". ;D
P.S. You want a really fake looking celeb face, check out Debbie Gibson! :D She's only 37 and looks as plastic as Cher in woops' avatar, lol. ;)

you can bet that nearly every celebrity of that age or older has had SOMETHING done from time to time. It's like...sure you're gonna look good if you have millions of dollars to spend on your own personal trainer, personal chef, plastic surgeries, etc.
The people I admire in life are the ones who have lived a good/clean life, haven't abused their skin to the sun, etc...and look younger than their age...not the ones who can dip into their money bag in order to create a quick fix for a few years. ;)

Same for them hair-restorin' drugs and boner pills. I'm willing to accept old-fartitude with at least some measure of dignity.

No, I wouldn't. I've always said the only plastic surgery I would get is to remove any excess skin from my body after losing weight.

Yeah I was just thinking about this the past 2 days botox ruins the distinctiveness of the aging the face.I like to see women wear their age well even if they have lines or wrinkles on their face. I mean I'm 29 but I think a 45-50 year old woman can still look hot even with lines or wrinkles on their face even though I wouldn;t date a woman that age(not yet anyway.)
