D Day.Hats off to those who fought in this.as it was the beginning of the end to occupied Europe...
A little known fact is that "Allied" forces only took on 1/3 of the German army...It was the Russians that took on the bulk..I'm sure theres lots of shows about it all today.Too Bad we as people just can't learn from the past mistakes of Wars........Didn't they say WW1 was the war to end all wars.....

In the record books it has been mentioned that the invasion should have been June 5th 1944, for it was held over for one day due to foul weather.
