I know I'm leaving the house a bit early when I hear "it's 10:09 It's the Dennis and Judy Show"

I know I woke up late whenever it is brighter than usual outside.
I know I woke up early when Chris still has not left for work yet.

I know I'm late when I can hear the bus go past just as I'm shutting the front door :P
I know I'm early when I don't have to check to see if the iron's on 10 times... ::)
