looking forward to my first year at Pathmark in just a couple of weeks and I get...paid vacation. :)

Today I returned to the gym after quite some time. This morning  I felt quite intimidated by a female member of staff called Irene talking loudly outside my room and I also felt that she spoke harshly to another resident. I also saw a notice about a meeting for residents this coming Thursday but on one of the agenda sheets, I saw that another resident had written 'Stephen is an idiot.' I was so shocked to see it that I reported it to the team leader who eventually took it down. After the gym, things got a bit better with Irene because I spoke to her about my Co-Op purchases while she was cooking lunch for the staff and showed her some recent photographs after eating my lunch.

Not much today. Too cold out and I have a nasty headache.

Dai is going to Chile today.  He decided yesterday he wanted to take his navy blazer except he lost a button.  I didn't have one in my box of spares so this morning I drove across to buy a new set of buttons.  He needed it doing for about 3 this afternoon he said.  In the shop my mobile rings - Dai saying he needs to leave at noon due to a change of plan!  So I bomb home and sew on three buttons in record time then head down to his work to hand the jacket over.

Now I'm waiting for the guy to come and fix our toilets (and hoping I didn't miss him whilst I was out).  And thinking what I want for lunch.

This afternoon/evening I'm helping out with Elizabeth's Girl Scout troop.

We got my boss good.  We are slammed and he is stressed, so his assistant and I decided to be mean.  I sent him an email telling him my computer started smoking and now it wouldn't turn on.  I guess it took him a minute to for it to sink in that I was sending an email from a broken computer. ;D  Thankfully he has a good sense of humor.

A hectic day in work today, Hillary Clinton stopped by our shop on her campaign trail. I got to meet her
as my job was explained to her. She told me my welds were beautiful and that I did excellent work. I

At the present time, relaxing in our motel room.  We got up at 2 a.m. and was on the road at 3:20 a.m.  It took us 12.5 hours, but we have arrived in Allentown, PA.  We drove through torrential rain in Michigan and slightly less heavy (but still unpleasant) rain in OH...enough to keep us slowed down.  Rain stopped about halfway thru PA.  We start Micah's appointments at 9:30 in the morning and she will "move in to her room" about 4:15 pm.  She will spend the night w/ a student and resume appts Thursday morning, after which time we'll get back on the road (so probably home around midnight or 12:30 a.m.).  I drove from the apt to just after we got on the OH turnpike and Micah drove the rest of the way.  Not bad considering she was in the ER the night before w/ possible strep.  They gave her a penicillin injection and a steroid injection so she wouldn't infect everyone she came in contact with (steroid was to reduce swelling so she could talk and swallow).  She felt better by the time we got home and this morning (other than a little pain at injection site, no big deal).

Luckily, she isn't into April Fool's Day, so I didn't have to worry about pranks (I've never been into it either).

THIS particular trip was because her throat looked so horrible I was worried it was strep and didn't want her to give it to everyone at the college we are visiting tomorrow.  Previous trips in the past 90 days include xrays of her foot (which did end up to be torn ligaments that they didn't catch--dr did 3 weeks after incident) and an exam of her eye to rule out corneal abrasion and broken occipital/orbital bones (none).  As you can see, she loves sports, but is accident prone.  The PA who examined her last night said the quick srep test came back negative, but she gave her the penicillin & steroid injections as a precaution because M looked "streppy" (PA's words) and the fact that we were travelling out of state for a few days.

Thank you for asking about her.  She is feeling much better and is currently taking a nap as she did most of the driving and stayed awake to keep me company when she wasn't driving (she's been up since 2:30 this morning).

Gaming, internet... The usual fare I do on most days.

I'm tired, tired, tired and more tired.

Last night we got paid, and as a treat hubby took me to a gambling casino in Indiana (about 40 miles (64.37376 kilometers)) from my house.
I went in with a hundred and came out with 140ish (and we stayed for about 3 hours) so I did well considering the odds.  Hubby went in with $200 and lost it all in that time, I heard about a second casino about the same distance away, so we decided to go check it out too.  Hubby won back the $200, so we more or less did the whole trip having lost about $20 total.  I consider that a success!  I usually play the penny slots. So it takes awhile to lose anything (but also takes awhile to actually make any money if you are so lucky to do so.)

The car ran excellently so I'm happy about that too.  Although we were having a slight slippage with the transmission, I think if we checked the level of the fluid, that will help.  At least I hope so anyways.  ;D

As for me . . . well . . . I think my landlord has played an April Fool's prank on me as this morning. Somewhere along the line, there must have been a leak in the pipes within the ceiling and water accumulated on top of the plaster. I managed to get out of the kitchen on time before half my ceiling collapsed.  :-\\

I'm going to try to talk to that new girl Tamika when I have the chance and hopefully when I have another Monday off(whenever that'll be),I could ask her if she'd like to go for coffee since her days off are on Mondays too.

Paid bills this morning and in a couple minutes, going to take the hubby to get his hair cut (he debated about just shaving his head to save money  ???  but I'd rather him just get some of it cut not totally shaved.
I'm trying to decide whether I want to get mine cut as well.  It's kinda overgrown, but again, it's kinda expensive, so not sure I wanna shell out  that much.  (No, I'm not going to pull a "britney" and shave mine either.  That's a bit severe.

One of the kids in my carpool horked on my back seat.  I feel bad for the kid, he thought he was in trouble (he is only 7).  What I really want to do is beat his dad to a pulp.  The little boy told his dad he didn't feel good this morning but his dad sent him anyway.  Hello, moron, your other three kids have had the stomache flu recently it stands to reason this kid might get it, too. 

Finally roused myself to post a few ads for an axeman.

We'll see what shakes loose....

The reason for the incident was because of the central heating in the above flat. However, that must have been sorted around the time the landlord was converting bedsits to flats and not before as I had no problems previously.

It was weird because I saw cracks in the ceiling and water leaking and all I thought was 'get out of the kitchen!' Seconds after I left the kitchen, half the ceiling fell down. The landlord was quick to get it sorted (and so he should). The core problem is fixed but the plasterer will not be able to come around until Friday.

One day my luck is going to run out and I will get injured, if not worse, as a result of falling ceilings.  >:(

The reason for the incident was because of the central heating in the above flat. However, that must have been sorted around the time the landlord was converting bedsits to flats and not before as I had no problems previously.

It was weird because I saw cracks in the ceiling and water leaking and all I thought was 'get out of the kitchen!' Seconds after I left the kitchen, half the ceiling fell down. The landlord was quick to get it sorted (and so he should). The core problem is fixed but the plasterer will not be able to come around until Friday.

The ceiling was affected as a result of piping but the pipes in themselves weren't damaged. Somewhere along the line, above my ceiling, water started to leak. The water saturated the insulation between the two floors and finally continued to bear down on the plaster in between. The plaster couldn't hold out much longer and half my ceiling gave way as a result.

Right now I am hungover. Went out on a works do last night and it was great though my mate kept wanting to kiss me . . . I wouldn't mind but he only does that when he's drunk.  ;D

I need to go return the migraine medicine I bought and get the tension headache medicine instead. Or maybe I should wait and see what the doctor says tomorrow. I've been getting some pretty bad headaches lately, usually after I've been exercising or if I happen to sleep wrong. It's weird, and they hurt. I had a really bad one last night, but I took an Aleve and just laid down for a bit and it went away. Weird.

I also need to mail off some birthday cards: one for my cousin who turns 15 on the 12th, and one for my maternal grandmother, who turns 80 (I think) on the 6th. I don't like the woman at all, but I love her because she is my grandmother. I can't really explain it. She did a lot of stuff to our family that I can never forgive her for, but she is still the one who gave birth to my mom, and she must have had SOME redeeming qualities because my grandfather (who was completely awesome) married her. :-\\

That's a difficult one Howard.On the whole you avoid asking out someone who smokes if you hate smoking, but there again do you like her enough to ignore the smoking? Bearing in mind if this goes further, she is a smoker.....................

I would say telling her that her smoking offends you would be the quickest way to get her to tell you to get lost!

I'm glad you got out before you could get hurt, but I'm sorry to hear that your ceiling caved.  Was any of your stuff damaged/broken?  I hope they fixed it properly so you don't have to worry about it again.  You definitely shouldn't have to pay an increase for something that wasn't your fault.  They should have taken care that it wouldn't happen when they made those changes.  I wish you the best of luck!

Ah, you got that, and I have to go to my regular doc to go over my bloodwork from a month ago. I guess I should tell her about the asthma attack last month and the wonky tension headaches I've been getting. :P

I'm whooped, need more sleep.  got the call to pick Julie up from her friends last night at about 4:20am, they was out dancing in San Francisco (again)  :-\\    so I'm going on about 4 hours sleep, running on empty.    working and listening to music at my desk, so maybe a good lunch will pick me up and get me through the day.

As for me, glad to be home, but not looking forward to going into the office.  Just once I would like to be on vacation and not get a call about an issue that can't wait.  So, we got home at just before midnight, then I went to the office to take care of something.  I have also been keeping tabs on my e-mail and people are not happy that the online Student Assessment of Instruction didn't go out already (sorry people, I take my direction from Academic Affairs--take it up with them!).  It is going to be a crazy day, I can see the writing on the wall.   8-P  The thing of it is...I want to enjoy the end of my vacation so I don't want to go into the office this weekend to get started on it, even though I know how it's going to be on Monday.  Is that wrong?  I know this sounds really bad, but the fact of the matter (ok, the fact of my opinion) is that they don't pay me enough to give up vacations and weekends to go in and work.  I would be much more likely to do it if I was making 50k or more, but at 32k? I really don't.  Any thoughts?

Talked to my mom on the phone today (let her know we were home).  Found out my dad had another episode yesterday.  The problem is that he wouldn't take his blood pressure and blood sugar levels so without the numbers, we can't say for sure if it was a sugar spike (which is actually in the normal range today) or another TIA (mini stroke).  We know that he had a stroke about 11 yrs ago and they have determined that he had 2 mild heart attacks when they were in FL last year.  The problem is that the symptoms of spikes and TIAs can be similar, so it is important to have the actual numbers to help make the determination.  Wish he would cooperate and that Mom would be more forceful.  She said that he was fine last night.

Yup-when I'm lying with my head on the side-that is when I feel it-and it doesn't matter which side.

That's a difficult one Howard.On the whole you avoid asking out someone who smokes if you hate smoking, but there again do you like her enough to ignore the smoking? Bearing in mind if this goes further, she is a smoker.....................

No. but many , many, many years back I did kiss a girl who was a smoker and it greatly diminished the experience. I vowed at that time I would not date any smokers... It would be a deal breaker for me...

The snow outside has changed my plans, I was to go and see the Olympic Torch past through Notting Hill, I am staying at home now.

Today I was out driving around just goofing off when I decided to check out some motor scooters.  For some reason I've always kind of liked them and was toying with the notion of buying one (for the fuel mileage especially, they get 80-100 mpg) even though it's not really feasible for me at this particular time.

So I went to the scooter shop and even though I don't have a motorcycle endorsement on my license, the salesman let me ride one around the parking lot for a little bit. And as I was riding around I looked off to my right and saw my reflection in the glass on the side of the building, and I immediately started laughing at how much of a doofus I looked like on that thing.

So the scooter thing is not gonna happen.


Screw it, I'm gonna get a Harley someday.

It was 65 degrees (Farenheit) (18 degree Celcius) today and was just beautiful!  PLUS gas is about 10 cents cheaper today then it was yesterday, so I went and filled up the tank and went for a drive.  Nice.

Then my sinuses/allergies started hurting so I came back home, but it sure was nice for awhile to bask in that big, bright, shiny, round thing in the sky once in awhile.

I'm just looking forward to my first year at Pathmark in just a couple of weeks and my first paid vacation. :)

That's almost what we did.  We convinced the children they wanted a 'picnic' with the main course and they all sat on the floor whilst the adults sat at the table.  For dessert we ate in two shifts, children first.  That way the adults could sit and chat afterwards.

I thought I was going to have a battle getting Elizabeth to go to school this morning.  She trapped her finger somehow on Saturday and was claiming it was too painful for her to go to school today!  I gave her some paracetemol medicine and then a little later she went for the school bus without protest.

No specific plans today except to get something for dinner ready during the day because I will be taking James to his acting class after school.

I have a question: what does it take to record one's voice onto the computer?
Any ideas/suggestions are greatly appreciated.


Hawk you might do better posting this in the Song Parodies section.  There's a lot of people with experience in doing this (recording voice on the computer).  There might be a thread about it actually.  :-\\

You might look to see if a college near you offers a course in voice over techniques.  I know I spotted something on offer in a town near me.




As for me, today I am hosting the knitting circle, food shopping, possibly helping at the math club after school and taking James to visit a television studio (with Scouts)

If you have got a mic it is pretty easy...

Start > All Programs > Accessories > Sound recorder

Save it after you say what needs to be said and then you can use it, upload it, do anything you want with it.

My day has been pretty good. I bought a 1TB external hard-drive yesterday so have spent the morning filling it up. It should keep me going for a bit.

Work went okay today, listened to the Liverpool/Arsenal championship match.

Weekend tomorrow so will probably buy some stuff for the house.

Have spent the day taking Teela to medical app'ts.

Her ankle has healed, so she no longer needs the air-splint.
She also had a tooth pulled, but didn't freak out at the new dentist's office.

We came home, and I have been spending the rest of the time figuring out my new recording program.
I have created a few specific demos- now I just need to create a few generic ones.

I'm having fun!

I found out today that my aunt has breast cancer. I don't know much beyond that yet, but it was definitely a shock to me. I think I'm still stunned.

I'm sorry to hear that Jess..I know how it feels to have someone close to you diagonsed with it. My mom, grandma, and aunt are all breast cancer survivors. I will keep her in my prayers and thoughts. :)

same thing happened to my friend at work, we've been talking about the Memphis team as a Dark Horse winning it and her winning and like you Kevin, the money just slipped out of her reach. $340 is what she would have won. that sucks!

...as for me, we lost our game last night, I sucked, zero hits in 4 at bats, but a nice play at 2d base that got a few oohs and ahhs from onlookers, so that was my highlight.    I changed my desk at work today with the girl who sits next to me so she could sit closer to her trainer and friend. people said "oh Mike, you're such a nice guy"  ;D  it was no big deal, I'm just happy to have a job and a desk with pics of Lady Di and Julie on it  :)

It was a pretty interesting day at Pathmark.I'm guessing a lot of cars get damaged in the parking lot over there.Today,I had a row of carts (about 6) and as I was pushing forward the carts,this car makes a turn and one of the carts came apart from the row and I didn't have enough force to get the cart and it accidently dented a person's car door while it was in driving fast.My assumption would have been that the person in the car would get out and scream and have a sheeshfit but no the person just kept on driving like nothing happened and I said to myself,Wow that was so close.He probably didn't even see or hear what happened to the car so he just drove off.That was sure a weird moment.  :o

Yes Karen,I was right there when it happened and boy I thought that person was going to scream but I glad nothing happened to me,just needed to compose myself and go inside and get a glass of water.

Some people drive off because they don't want to accept it has happened. He's going to have a shock later, lol.

And boy will he have a major shock.What had happened was one of the carts from the row came apart and this car turned and the cart hit the door probably dented it badly but nobody knows for sure except the driver.But anyway,it happened and it was an accident.

Bored, ignored and attention-whored...hence this post.  Other than that I'm good.

I'm feeling pretty good that next week is my 1st Anniversary at Pathmark,looking forward to that.And I'm really making my job coach proud of me that I'm a pioneer in the working world and I bounced back from loss at Au Bon Pain in October 2006 to now a job which I can be successful in.Every time he calls up to see how Howard's doing,no bad reports just excellent and I always do what I'm told.Here's to many more years at Pathmark. :)

It's hard because she doesn't want a party.  :-\\

yeah skipping class is not a privilege of college its a right of passage... I'd be more disappointed her if she didn't skip the occasional lecture.  Just make sure she doesn't have midterms or finals that night or the next day... that would suck.


yeah, she deserves a day off if she thinks she needs one & I'm all for it as long as she gets her work done and does the best she can and then it's cool to mix in some social fun, which is something she's very good at. I asked her about the concert and she seemed interested, which is almost a yes  ::)

Avoiding the rain and the showers, it was hailstones just then.

you know, yesterday was like...70s and sunny.  today is rotten.  might as well spend the day off in the car.

It just started raining here as the kids got on the school bus.

Coffee morning this morning, plus call into the library to drop off some overdue books  :-[.  This afternoon i ma meeting the children from school and we are going to buy all the soccer gear they need.  Training starts in just over a week.

Well, yesterday afternoon my parents went away to Reno; they will be staying there over the weekend because a second-cousin of mine (the son of my mother's cousin) is getting married tomorrow. So I have the house to myself over the weekend; I am taking care of the dog and studying. I would've liked to have gone up there, too, but I have a paper to work on, as well as other studying to take care of.

I"m an idiot.

Now i'm home, with nothing to do.  grrrrr.

OK. I had to bring my pass-card for the gate at the trailer community and i left it home. so..i go into jersey, realised my pass was home, and turned around. stupid.

so now we're back, and i began to feel poorly; gotta lay down.

So far I haven't done much studying today...so after I log off the computer, I'm gonna get down to it.

Pathmark has now 100-200 brand new carts,The Waldbaums carts are in the back area of the store,probably going to give it back to Waldabums soon.The carts are nice and shiny and a little easier to maneuver but when cart collecting,When I push a lot of them,a few come apart which means they're a bit looser than the ones we had before.

Well, tonight Micah had another soccer game (third this week).  She played the last 15 mins of the first game on Tuesday and was mentioned by the coach in the paper as part of the reason they shut out Fremont Providence (5-0, Micah had a couple saves as backup keeper).  The second game was Wednesday, but she didn't play.  She is a senior, but only a first year player and they were down 2-0, but came back and tied it.  She was bummed she didn't get to play (the child has confidence in her abilities, no doubt about it).  This game was in Pentwater (close to where my parents live, so about 1.5 hrs away).  Gas is almost 3.50/gal, so I asked her if it would be ok if I missed.  She wants to eat next week (instead of using money on gas there & back), so she said she would tell me about it when she got home (plus she knows I've been sick for a week and it poured today).  As it turns out, she went in 2nd half and at some point lost track of the lines and ended up outside her box.  I'm not sure if there was more to it, but she got yellow-carded.  The coach went off, saying there was no reason the ref couldn't just have called her for hands instead of ejecting her from game.  Nice that the coach wasn't mad at her, everyone seemed to think it was entertaining and they still won 7-1 (they were up 7-0, but the other keeper let in a goal after M was ejected).  The coach has nicknamed her the "orange freight train" (her shirt is orange and his comment was "when you see an orange freight train coming, don't you get out of the way?"-guess the opponent didn't get out of M's way).  :)

And in other news, I've lost almost 3 pounds in the last 2 weeks and about 11.5 pounds in the last month.  Program ended yesterday, starts up again May 1.  ;D

AFM- We got a very unexpected windfall, a couple of days ago.
We are expecting the Rebate check in May or June.

We are planning a trip to Pismo Beach.
Melissa wants to do it for my birthday, but if we need to do it sooner, I won't complain.
She needs the break even more than I do....she's been really depressed lately, and I don't know how to help her break it.

Anyhoo, I'm at home again today, getting stuff done around the house, and trying to work on my paper.

Pathmark has me working tomorrow 4-9 because one of the guys is now a father and just had a child so he'll be off that day and the other cart collector will be doing maintainence because someone else is on vacation.They always reverse people's schedules over there,It's the way they work.

Today was fun. We went with some friends down to PNC Park for a Pirates game (we purchased a 10 ticket pack for this season). We ate dinner at an Irish pub called McFaddens..then headed to the game. The Pirates beat the Reds...4 to 3. It was a good game. Fun times. :)

Nothing much happening this week,I've got to make an appointment with the foot doctor again to see my toenail that's been growing back since January when I wound up with a fungus and the whole toenail had to come right off.

Had a great weekend so far... but it's only sunday morning.

Are you sure about the yellow card?  ??? 'Cause you don't get sent off when yellow-carded...unless it's your second in the game (in which case the two add up to a red card).
It might have been a direct red card too... but that seems a bit harsh for just making hands. :-\\

I have that very same problem too.  I just don't know what to say to people.  Not that anything I say could help things or fix what is bothering them.  I struggle with what to say, so sometimes I don't say anything at all and it may come off as uncaring or standoffish.

I had an awkward moment.Today I had a late shift 4-9 and as I'm walking across the street minding my own business,getting ready to go to work before 4 and within the corner of my eye I see Robin right across the street from The Pathmark parking lot.I felt a rapid heartbeat,clenched fist,angry face and blood boil,she looked at me and I looked at her and we both just walked off.Boy,I wanted to beat the holy hell out of her,something in me wanted to snap but I said to myself that I shouldn't,so I didn't.I composed myself very nicely and took deep breaths inside the bathroom,got myself a cup of coffee and moved on.I'm feeling better but how awkward is it to see your ex-girlfriend right across the street walking home from where you work 2 months later? And the funny thing is,I didn't see her new man today,I wonder what happened? Maybe he's invisible. ;D

Well, that was what I assumed...before I had seen her. It's actually covering the left side of her face almost completely. It's clearly visible, although it's not an "in your face" shade of red (except for her left ear).

oh I forgot to say that we won our softball game tonight "convincingly"  ;)  I had 3 hits in 4 at bats. we won 34-13 so now our record is 2 wins, 2 losses and the team we beat were 3-0, now they have their 1st loss compliments of my team  8) 
I didn't mention the 2 previous weeks since we lost.  :(  but now it looks like we're ready to go out every Monday night and conquer our opponents.  Saturday, I'll be playing with my new tournament team. players must be age 50-55 and I thought I was gonna go out there and star but these guys are all good. We have 3 games scheduled Saturday and 3 on Sunday. After that, my body is gonna be in need of ibuprofen, massage and hot tub.

I forget what he had but he's back writing for his paper...no word yet on whether he'll return to the show...    They were using other critics to sit in...sometimes actress Aisha Tyler sat in and twice Kevin Smith (Clerks) sat in..he was a cool sub! I loved him....  they have gotten rid of the thumbs up format..which sucks cuz it's easier to tell if they like it...now you have to listen to the review.

I used to be like that. I still have a closet full of clothes in my old size that are still absolutely gorgeous and in style. Now I just need to lose 100 lbs. :P I also have one shelf in my closet dedicated to shoes. Heels, flats, boots, sneakers, etc.

Well his reasoning is that now that he has money, he can do for us (my sister and I) now what he couldn't do for us when we were younger (we were pretty poor). So not only did he pay for our trip out to California, gave us extra money, and bought me some clothes, he's also going to get Jason some new clothes. That means I won't have to pack a lot for our journey home. :)

Next up for new clothes is Rice Cube, because his tshirts are a disgrace. :P

I just found out from my friend Robert(not the one who lives in Schnectady)but I have another Robert who lives in Florida and he's coming up to New York in June to see me so him and I will be able to hang out.He hasn't been in New York in 8 years so he's looking forward to it.

well..Vaughn's pinkeye is getting better, thanks to the prescribed eyedrops that I have been administering to him. He gets to go back to school tomorrow. It's been fun having him home with me though! :) I think today we are going to join the YMCA.

Well, that was what I assumed...before I had seen her. It's actually covering the left side of her face almost completely. It's clearly visible, although it's not an "in your face" shade of red (except for her left ear).

Indeed it ought to be. She was feeling slightly better already, and told me it wasn't as painful as it was earlier.

I visited her in hospital earlier this evening, but I can't tell if it's getting better (not having seen her in a previous stage).

I have just watched a programme called 'The Medieval Mind' large chunks of which were filmed at the library. I did find a quote from a medieval librarian highly amusing. We are a non lending library ie; no books are allowed to leave the building. He said 'If you steal a book I hope it turns into a serpent and and strikes you and that you shall be struck with the palsy and fall to the ground' Happy mental images that gave me.  ;D

I have started purchasing Parisian cobblestone tiles for it- but I didn't buy enough.

I have the weekend off, so I'll have time to shape the tiles, for the curving sidewalk.

...I just got back an hour ago, after picking Julie up from her dorm in San Jose, and am taking a day off work tomorrow. It's just an F/O day for me to do whatever I want. Julie will probably sleep until noon, Lady Di has to work, and I'm going to run some errands, and go to the batting cages and take some batting practice for my softball tournament this weekend. I'd like to say I'm gonna do some yard work when I get home but let's wait on that and see how things pan out  ;)

I'm up, but not for a good reason. We just had a f*cking good sized earthquake. I woke up out of a sound sleep and heard stuff moving. Couldn't get back to sleep after that, so I got up and checked the USGS, thinking I was hallucinating. Nope. It was a 5.4.

I'm creeped out. I'm used to them in California, where everything is retrofitted for earthquakes, but not here. Oh sweet lord.

My friend in Louisville Ky said both her and her husband felt it but their 3yr old, who wakes up if you walk past her room, slept through it.  ;D

I thought it was a pretty good day for my 1st Anniversary at Pathmark.Did some cart collecting,swept up,took out trash,talk with my favorite buddies,told jokes,laughed a lot and spent time swapping stories plus it was payday. :)

I'm up, but not for a good reason. We just had a good sized earthquake. I woke up out of a sound sleep and heard stuff moving. Couldn't get back to sleep after that, so I got up and checked the USGS, thinking I was hallucinating. Nope. It was a 5.4.

I heard about that on the news this morning. I sure hope you and the family are all okay.

That's probably cuz they might not be as frequent over there as they are out here, that's for sure. Kinda semi-appropriate that one would occur this morning, since today is the 102nd anniversary of the big one in San Francisco. :o

It was centered in the south of Illinois, near the Indiana border, so you probably did. I'm watching the news right now, and people as far away as Michigan felt it.

Gah. My building keeps creaking now, (normal creaks, I'm sure), but it's wiggin' me out to no end. Like I said, if this had happened in California, I would have went back to sleep, but here, in this big building.....yeah. No more sleep. :P

AFM- I just got done laying the last of the Parisian cobblestone.
As soon as the sand dries- which will most likely be in the morning, I will assemble the furniture, and take a pic of the finished product.

It was a trial to complete, but now I can cross one more thing off the list of the "Have To's".
Melissa is ecstatic about it, and I feel good- I seem to have done it right, the first time.

Oh...I got my hair cut today. It had been three months since it was last done, so I figured this week might be a good time to get it cut again.

I'm bummed. I just found out an old schoolfriend of mine died. Via the internet, believe it or not. Joanne Harris used to go to the same school as me when I was a young lad.

Nothing much doing today,my day off and spending it with friends and family on Passover.

I am soooooo sore and stiff, I can barely move.

My fingers, ironically, can move fine.

Has cold weather brought this on, for I am feeling the same for that reason.

Gorgeous day today, finally able to go outside and get some work done on the lawn and garden, clean up from last autumns left overs mostly.  Tomorrow we are off to New York City for our annual trip.  :)

It was a super day up here today aswell, we actually managed a blue sky all day for gawds sake..it was still icy cold but lovely bright n sunny makes a change from the heavy leaden grey skies...

I just thought I'd log in to say Hello.

Went to my high school reunion yesterday...Met up with a dozen or so of my old (class) mates, shared memories, listened to the band (and sang along), we ate some, we drank some...yeah, I had a good time! :)

Although I didn't recognize everybody immediately, it was remarakable to see how little most of us had changed over the years.

Had a break this weekend, so I spent the day relaxing- sort of- with my sister-&-brother-in-law's.

Overall, it was OK. Their daughter's birthday party was today- 8 yrs. old, she is.

Still sore & stiff as all get-out.

Nothing much doing today just working today on the second day of Passover.

Read this morning, went into town then came back, did some gardening, did the laundry, cleaned the bathroom and now I'm chilling. Himself is on his way home so I have all the windows open. I had fish for my dinner last night*yum* I only get to eat it when he's not here because he hates fish and especially the smell! Hence all the open windows.  ;D

We went up to Niagara (well Buffalo) for a couple of days, stopping at Syracuse on the way there and back.  We also managed to pick up an orienteering event yesterday.  The weather was brilliant (I got a bit sun burnt yesterday).  We had lots of fun

I'm jealous.  I LOVE Niagara.  Although I have to admit the Canadian side has more to do and seems more pretty.  The New York side does have a nice aquarium and wax museum on it (or at least it did) when I visited that side years ago.

I finally got to meet and greet with a girl from this Friendship Network I belong to this past Sunday where people with disabilities can have a good time with each other and socialize with one another.Her name is Robin Brody,Jewish,age 24 and has Aspergers Syndrome.I had a good time with her the first run around that I'm hoping to see her again real soon and maybe Her and I can become boyfriend and girlfriend in the near future if she allows me to. :)

Played in a softball tournament this weekend, and I just know that I'm gonna be sore tomorrow after playing 5 games  :-\\   I had a great time, played well, we only won 1 game, but I personally did well and was pleased with my performance. took Julie out to Red Lobster for her 19th birthday last night and I'm sure she had a good time. we came back here and she opened some presents and we had some cheesecake for dessert. Later last night, I joined the poker pals for a late night game and did not win any money, but had a good time anyway. Took Julie back to the dorms today, and then sped over to the ballpark to play 2 more games. the hot shower this evening was extremely wonderful. anyways, it's been a good weekend. how's everyone here?

AFU- Today was quite relaxing.
We went & got me some new shoes (I get new shoes maybe once a year, if I'm lucky), because my slip-on boots were trashed & ripped in some seams.
We then went to Yuba City (about 1/2 hour away), and went shopping. I'm actually impressed with all that we got. Ate dinner @ a "Red Robin", which we had neevr done before, picked up a table umbrella & base @ Big Lots, then came home because the girls have school in the morning.

Best part- Mom was gone.
She will only be with us another week or two.
I love my Mom and all, but when she leaves- I am throwing a bash, and everyone out here is invited!
