i hit show new replies to my posts. there's usually a couple of threads that i posted in but no longer care about (typically they were originally started by me. so, like, for instance, once "sugar or salt?" is up on top again i know that no one's posted in a thread i'm still actively holding a conversation in. there are certain threads i'll always post in, like LTE, shameless promotion or witch mountain, so if someone else has posted there i'm usually pretty quick with a response. if there's nothing new i go to the "show unread posts since last visit" to check if someone's done a new thread. if no one's posted a new thread that looks interesting i go to the politics board to see if there's an old argument i can stir up again. then i go to the 70s board to see if there's some totally defunct 70s crap i can try fruitlessly to breathe new life into. then i start over.

it's weird, i almost never go to the front page. sometimes i'll peek in PPP or 70s but usually just hitting the two update things on the top is enough...

I log in..then I go to "show new replies to your posts". After going through all of those, then I hit the "show unread posts since last visit"...then after going through all of those and deleting the ones that I have no interest in...then I go and see who is online, and then I sometimes view the front page and/or go to the arcade (if there's no inthe00's action at that moment). :D

i miss the arcade...no go with a mac and a touchpad.

I usually go immediately into new replies.  Sometimes if I feel a bit nosy I see who's online.  :-[

For me it's usually abit random, although it depends on what I see....

Sometimes I come on just to start a new thread or finish something on a current thread.

Speaking of which...

I'm always logged in. I go to PMs if I have any new ones. Then to the PPP. Followed by WoW. Then I will go to 2000 and the political board. I may go to the other sections if I feel up to it. But I find myself hanging out in the PPP more than not.

After logging in I check any new PMs then I check to see where LTE is and bump it up to the top of WoW if necessary. :D

Show New Replies....is set as my home page on my laptop so when I log on at home I automatically see replies to my posts...

I will check the ones I'm interested in and reply as necessary,

I will check new IMs as soon as I see them

once I have checked everything I go to the front page for new topics.

If there is little activity I will scan the decades boards & PPP to look for any new topics I might have missed that are no longer on the frontpage.


Then games...gotta go back and win back some of those high scores that have been taken from me  ;)

I used to,not anymore since it was moved to the Writing On The Walrus.

I go to new pm's first read em and reply.

Then go to Home and see who's around.

Next click Unread posts since last visit and click on threads i care about.

Afterwards go to PPP and despair 'cause all the cool threads are nowhere to be found.

Oh and i try to go to the Photoboard too to see if someone has new photos.

Every other day i toy with the tought of changing my avatar and my sigline but never can find what i want so i give up.

Then an hour or so goes by and when i try to reply to something i'm not logged in anymore so i just say screw it and go away.

My habits are random, sometimes I check PM's first (since I get sooooo many  ::)  :D ) , sometimes I start at the top and work my way down, sometimes the opposite. I like to mix it up.  :D Sometimes I log in, and then the phone rings or the puppy makes a mess on the floor then I just log right back out.
