Please vote for Jeff by givin him karma everyday. He goes out of his way to be very helpful and we should give him karma for it.
So far, he has 1666 karma points. He needs lots more karma to be number one. :)

That's correct...Philip was the first "geek", and I joined him this past November. I have no idea who the next geek will be.....it may even be a year or more before we have another. The rest will come as it may.

I think she wants to know what the difference between a thread whore and a post whore was. I don't really know why it's that darned important, as in my eyes, both terms tend to be derogatory. I'm far from expert with internet lingo, but as far as I can tell, the terms can be interchangeable. Albeit there is the implied meaning that someone that starts alot of threads on nearly the same topic would be a thread whore (I guess) and someone that replies multiple times (over-excessive in some people eyes, but in my eyes, nearly every reply can be valid (it gives me something to read which I like), but anyways, back to my interpretation of what is implied with post whore...
A post whore could/might be someone that replies multiple times and often in succession (almost like if you were talking to someone face-to-face, it would be like someone interrupting you many times and not letting someone get a word in "edgewise") so-to-speak.
I hope that makes sense. Having said that, I don't worry too much about what other people think of me. I know I'm not going to please everybody all the time, and some people...well I probably annoy the heck out of just being me. I think it takes all kinds to make this world go 'round, so we have at least try to be more tolerant of those that may...push our buttons. At least in a perfect society it would be like that.

My point is if there is no pleasing the person that calls you it, then why worry about any derogatory thing they say towards you? Either report it to the moderator (if you take it that seriously), or accept that there is no pleasing them and shrug it off, or if you want to fight them for calling you bad names then ask them to give you an example of where they think you are whatever they call you.
Personally, as I said above, I'm not worried about how people think of me. There are billions of people in this world, most I will never meet, some I will talk to, many will be irritated with me no matter of what I say. I just accept that.

There are one or two out there who want to chastise you / us .... just for being wired the way we are .... to look at almost anything and everything. For instance ... Hugh Grant, had arguably one of the best looking women around ... didn't stop him looking .... and (in his case) acting. (He should've stuck to a different kind of 'acting' :P ;D ).

A rare Ricardo Carvalho goal was enough for Chelsea as they hung on to beat Middlesbrough at Stamford Bridge.
The defender headed home Wayne Bridge's free-kick inside six minutes.
But the visitors were unlucky not to claim at least a share of the spoils as they were denied by the woodwork on three occasions.
Substitute Afonso Alves hit the post from 35 yards and both he and defender David Wheater headed against the bar in a late goalmouth scramble.

The Portuguese defender, making his 150th appearance for the club, rose highest to meet Bridge's free-kick from the left and guided the ball past the outstretched Schwarzer for his first goal of the season.
It could have been even worse for Boro moments later, but Drogba could only plant his near-post header wide from Saloman Kalou's corner.
After their bright start, however, Chelsea took their foot off the gas and allowed the visitors back into the game.
Despite that, Boro struggled to create many clear-cut chances and Stuart Downing's low shot from distance, which Carlo Cudicini saved easily down to his right, was about all they good muster in the opening half.
Chelsea could have extended their lead as the half wore on but Kalou saw his shot blocked after good work from Michael Essien, and Joe Cole shot straight at Schwarzer after a marauding run from Drogba.

Boro substitute Alves was twice denied by the woodwork
The second half followed the same pattern as the first with Chelsea making most of the early running.

That I already knew, Philip. Other threads are where I get my karma (I only kid here...none or very few will be forthcoming), but I may add a ;) for those that see no other option. Any ideas? What are your methods for getting karma...ehh, Philip. :) Oh, you wrote it already...I tend to give karma out in those instances.

As I said, Karma is earned and not begged for. This thread is to tout Karmas between each other. Karma is done on an individual basis.
It is similar to the ticket touts outside a theatre when the show inside is sold out, touting the tickets at an extorted price for their own profit.

I am up to 742 in less than 34 hours... I'd say I did pretty well considering most people couldn't karma me when I made the original post...

If I understand you correctly, Philip, it is not for that anymore...begging. Rather we tell each other various ways....like giving karma, but don't say anything...things like that Or your acts of kindness and helping another. Are you perhaps in a low mood? That what you said was unlike you. :)

Not once on my time here have I ever ask for anyone to give me karma. I believe that karma has to be earned, through kindness, problem solving or achieving major tasks, etc.
If you spread your wings on to other threads more can be achieved.
Take it one step further, why not just help someone because you actually want to and not because someone may give you an extra mark in the left corner of your post which means very little?
I would hate for anyone here to bribe, plead, flatter or listen to me just because they might get that little extra mark. In fact, I'm in such a no-nonsense mood today that if anyone answers my posts hoping or expecting karma will be deeply dissapointed, so if that is your intention don't bother to answer them.

True enough, Bobby and you will notice that I changed the title of the thread...too much begging here. I was, but just kidding, hardly anybody gives karma here...don't worry about it.
