Subject: An interesting website that I ran across...

If you're into pictures from the past, I suggest this website. I have just spent the past hour looking at all the beautiful pictures of the Native Americans. There are some absolutely stunning photos on this site.

I search on pictures for London and this quaint picture of a newspaper vendor. You do not get sellers like these today.

I tried to look for Northern Cheyenne (they're a different tribe) and Inuit, who started along the Washington coast, but got no results. Inuit I can understand because they went out of exitance.

when I get home I'll take a peek. I love that part of our country's history, the American Indians. When I was 15 years old, me and 3 friends hiked 15 miles to Caswell State Park just outside of Manteca, California and while skipping stones on the Stanilaus river, I picked up a smooth flat reddish-brown stone and to my amazement, it was a perfectly shaped arrowhead. it was awesome. I had it for about a year and then I lost it. :( I wonder what the Indian's name was who made it.

I became pretty fascinated with the American Indians of the Southwest when we roadtripped through New Mexico and Arizona last summer. I wanted desperately to stop at the Acoma village on top of the 300 foot mesa, but I think the trip up in the bus would have unnerved me a bit. :P
I love New Mexico.
Here is a website that has the history of the Acoma Indians and their pueblo: http://www.desertusa.com/mag01/mar/stories/acoma.html
And here is a collection of Acoma pictures that I just ran across on that picture website: http://www.old-picture.com/acoma-index-001.htm

right on, and have they ever had an bus accident? there sure are lots of good sites to enjoy. the tribe where I found my arrowhead were the Yokuts, basically acorn gatherers, but the way that arrowhead looked, somebody was hunting deer too.
