I have never in my life, met someone who's soul continues to speak to me each and everyday. Some people believe in soulmates, and up until now, I had never known such a thing. I have never felt such love and compassion as I do from you. I thank God that our paths crossed...you have saved me.

Awww so am I sweetie. :) :) Every time I think my feelings for you can't possibly increase, it does more and more. I've always felt close with you, but the last 3-4 months have really made me realize that connection so much, even if it took a few lousy events for it to end up happening. I never intended for us to become this close either, which in some ways makes it even more beautiful.

You know, I heard someone say once (in a magazine I think) that you really know you love someone when it hurts to not be with them. It always sounded accurate, but at the time I didn't have anything to directly compare it to (I've had girlfriends, but nothing that serious...or we'd usually just be good friends). Well now I know for sure what that guy meant, because that's just how I feel about you.

The absolute irony is that I've never much cared about talking on the phone much beforehand, but nowadays, I can't stay away from having those long conversations with you, almost daily. I feel like in the time before we get to know each other in person, that's as close as we can be, and I just love it. Everything we bond over, laugh over and share with each other...some of which I've always wanted to do with someone, but just never had the chance to. At least not in the detail I'd have liked to do. Even our occasional disagreements have opened my eyes to things I might've not otherwise thought about, and it all makes me care about you that much more.

Maybe this sounds a little silly to some people, but since I was a kid I've always dreamed of having a girlfriend I could share everything with. Not in the way most men are in that they primarily want to get laid (which I despise), or at best have just a casual friend...but in the sense of just always talking with and sharing stuff about each others' lives with. Over time I've come to realize you're the picture of the perfect girlfriend I used to imagine someday having when I was, like 10. Only so much better than I expected too.

And to think something I've done or things I've said have made such a positive difference in a person's life when I was merely being myself and responding to the emotions I naturally had? Well, that really is one of the highest compliments someone could ever get.

P.S. It ought to be noted that as much as I love you, I think friendship comes before anything. I want to make that totally clear, that what I care about is you as a person. The falling in love part may have come later as a result of the closeness, but I value YOUR feelings and situation, as well as those of your family - even if it means taking a step or two in their direction...when I might not totally agree with them on some things (hey I'm a Liberal and if I'm always asking people to get along, I need to do my part too!).

'Strained' relationship ? Hmm, I think that was more on your side.  :-X  At the time, I was poking fun at the 'postwhores' here ... but it was only mischievous fun on my part. I still regard  getting 'gooey eyed' over climbing to 859, or whatever (bigboard spot)  as    ??? ... but recognise too that it's all a bit of fun / banter. Heck, I was even a postwhore myself for a few months (as 'Green Lantern' .... which I still have to sign in as    :\'( ).


Technically, I suppose I have moved along, somewhat. Yes, I recall being in awe of 'Whistledog' and co. re their pic skills. I'm sure he can still run rings around me in that dept., but I have improved.  I remember showing some very crude promise of my potential when I spent an hour or more sticking together a very crude  largish matchstick man made up of little more than a series of dashes ( - - - ), and  making him appear to kick a ball into a goal post (in the 'longest thread ever'). It drew some remarks of approval from 'Whistle' and 'Windbreaker05' .... which encouraged me ! Yay !  ;D

because of my former obsession with cheese webcams, wildlife webcams and traffic webcams.  I have reformed and not really looked at the cams much in the past couple weeks.  Well...at least not as much as I used to anyways.  I thank you for the kind words, my friend.  Ditto that to anyone else that might have directed their comments toward me but I did not guess them.  :)

I am hesitant to guess, because I don't like to face the possibility that someone sees me as arrogant/elitist/self-centered. Certainly there are those who don't like me, and that's OK. Doesn't mean that I agree with the viewpoint.
