Dumbest thing you did!?

Gosh...there have been so many instances...I could write a book! ;D


One time my sister and I were driving around the mall parking lot. They have these speed bumps every so often...and for some reason, instead of slowing down (like one is supposed to do)...I sped up REALLY fast....drove over it..and literally went flying in the air...I can't believe my tires didn't blow out! :o


Another time, I was going to try to open the door to our clubhouse (when we were young)...I put my hand on the window and started turning the knob...suddenly someone inside came bursting out, thus making my arm go through the window. Needless to say, there was a LOT of blood and stitches!

ugh. last week...two weeks ago.

I have been in the Cargo Cafe four million times in my life.  I KNOW there are two sets of doors to go through to go in or out.
However, one recent trip to the place,  I just turned around, went to exit, and bashed into the first set of glass doors with all I was worth, as if they were never there.

Idiot. Loud noise, laughter, bashed in nose.  Rats.

On Sunday my mind thought the hours was 10-2 but I knew it was 11-3 so I went into Burger King and had me a 2nd breakfast and I just realized I already had my breakfast earlier in the morning. ::)

I wished Erin a happy birthday 10 days early  ::)

when I first started learning to drive I was doing well in an empty parking lot.

my father said lets go over to that parking lot over there (pointing to one across the street)

I pulled out of the parking lot and started driving down the street (the entrances weren't across from each other)

I started freaking out because I was driving on the actual street and let go of the steering wheel.

The car continued going right and drove itself right into a light pole!  ;D

my father hired a driving instructor after that...

if you were here in '07 you will recall the dog bite, the boken ankle and the two, count 'em two sets of stitches caused by dropping dishes in the kitchen.

I guess reaching out to pet that dog was more stupid than walking into the door.

The 401 is a major Hwy in Ontario that connects Windsor Ontario to Montreal PQ.  The max speed on this Hwy is 100km.  One day, me and a friend decided to drive to the nearby casino on the day there was a mini snowstorm.  As we get there, I ended up missing the turn, so rather than wait until I got to the next town (which was a long waaaaaaaaaays away), I decided to pull a U-turn in one of the mediums that emergenry vehicles use.  Naturally, when you are going almost 100km, and you pull a U-Turn, bad things might happen.

My tires skidded, I almost slammed into another car, and I almost went into a ditch.  I cut it real close I tell ya.  One thing is for sure now, whenever I decide to go back to that casino, I now know where the correct turn off is ;D

I tried to steal a Monkees cassette from Jamesway when I was13.  Yes, it was dumb.  Yes, I learned my lesson.

Speaking of stealing...I  took several catatlogues from an antique place...one was free, but only one.  Of course, I was embarrased later to have to confess it and make restitution.  :-[ :o ;D

I went into work today thinking it was a regular schedule then I found out they changed my schedule again so today was supposed to be my "day off". ::)

Thought I could walk up a very steep almost 90 degree angle hill, lost my balance and went rolling down like a tire. Ended up in the street and ER with a deep cut on my head, lacerations , bruises, and 2 fractures.  It's taken months to get halfway normal again.

Just now I when to the kitchen for tea, I filled and placed the kettle on it stand,  I washed up a few plates and cups, and came back to the computer. Now I am waiting to hear the kettle to click for when the water has boiled.

I did not switch the kettle on!

Just before I was cleaning out my ears with a q-tip and all of a sudden a piece of the q-tip fell into my ear but thankfully it didn't get far enough for any sort of damage,just little bleeding when I was trying to get it out with a small scissor sharped edge and my fingertip and eventually it came out.Wow,that was close I thought I lost some damage to my ear.  :o :(

Been there, done that.

Oh and on I Love Lucy Fred comes home with a bunch of pool sticks.... Lucy had asked for Q-Tips and he brought back the pool cues because they didn't just sell the tips  ;D

Various "Dumb Things" Hawk Has Done:

-Walked into a light pole, while walking home from HS

-Ate silver polish, mistaking it for some form of chocolate pudding

-Walked into a fire hydrant, while admiring a blonde woman's car (I was DAMN lucky with this one!)

-Walked smack into a fire extinguisher @ chest level, which was attached to a support column, while Christmas shopping in Target

-Inadvertantly smelled daughter's butt, when checking her diaper as a baby (Lots of gas, that night)

-Lost 1/2 of a tooth in a head-butting contest

-Attempted to pick up the wrong woman, while waiting for a blind date, as a single man

to quote Friends "You've gotta stop the Q-Tip when there's resistance"  ;D  Just kidding...glad you're okay and no damage was done...
