You saw a good-sized hole in the ice.
Then, ring the perimeter of the ice hole with some canned peas.
Then...wait.

When the walrus comes to take a pea, kick him in the ice hole.

We could always thin out their ranks by clubbing the baby walruses.

what the heck  ???  they did make a movie out of it starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.  this running gag and Walrus character must be the biggest thing happening right now, maybe not as popular as movies about Penguins but it's got potential.
