Oh my.......

I would cherish every second!

I would start my day by going to the store and buying MANY things..

1) Golden Grain Macaroni and Chedder (Many,Many Boxs -- My favourite mac and cheese ever)

2) PLAIN M&MS -- Ah do i mi$$ them! (Many,many bags)

3) Milkyway bars (Many)

Then after that i would drive to Connecticut and goto SKATE FANTASY! (A place i used to go skating @ when visiting my relatives)

Then i would visit my relatives -- I mi$$ them so much!!!

Then i would goto Mcdonalds and ORDER A BIG MAC (2 or 3 MAYBE) AND GET LOADS OF ORANGE DRINK!! (Ahhhhh do i miss it)

Then i would slowly come back home and drift off to sleep.......

(Only to wake up the next day and have it be 2008 again.)

What would you do???

Well, I guess that changes my answer sorta.

Am I the exact same person as I am today when I wake up in 1982?  I really like that concept, it's reminescent of that great British show, Life on Mars...but anyways..  If I'm the same person I am today, I don't have any money, since I'm totally dependant on my husband's income... wait... I think I have a roll of quarters in my coat pocket for laundry machines... so what can I do in 1982 with a roll of quarters?  Video arcade!  Woot!  Although, who knows if the quarters from today (different design - state artistry quarters) would even work in arcade machines...  Perhaps I'm thinking this over too much.  If I were 38, and I ran into my 9 yr old self... well... I'd stop a certain family member from ever coming near me or my brother.  I would tell myself to try harder in school, and not comfort myself with food when I'm upset. 

Yeah... I think that would take care of my problems now.

On the fun side, 1982 was the year of great music on the radio.  So I would enjoy that again. 

First I would put on the Twilight Zone sound track and head straight for Punxsutawney. Pa.  Not stopping at GO and not collecting any $200.00.  I'd find Bill Murray and beat him senseless for such a stupid movie.   ;D

Seriously - I'd buy all the silver, gold and platinum that I could get my hands on using someone elses money.  I'd buy stock in Cisco Technologies, using someone elses money. And take out a patent on something like velcro or any number of ideas I've seen on those Popeil commercials which have not yet been invented or patented in 1982.  I wouldn't play any lotteries even if I knew the winning numbers since I would not be there the next day to collect.  I would put the stocks, precious metal and patents into a safe deposit box and swallow the key using someone elses money to pay the rent on the box up to 2008.  Upon return I would take a copious amount of laxitive and get the key back and then go to the bank!  And most importantly I'd avoid seeing myself in the past lest my past self would see me in my future self which according to Dr. Emmett Brown could cause a paradox.  ;D :D

I'd be pregnant and giving birth all over again? Ohhhh, I don't think so.  :o

Too bad I couldn't go back to 1985 - I'd look up Marty McFly and eventually get that sports book from Biff Tannen then see my bookie.

I'd be 4 years old too, but that's not what he's asking.  If you woke up and it was 1982, but you were the same age you are now, what would you do? 

I'd spend time with my family members who are no longer living. I'd go to the mall and see all the stores that were there then.  I'd go to a toy store to see all my favorite toys, brand new, in their boxes, and i'd buy them all!  Hmmm, I don't know what else... I'm sure there wouldn't be enough time in the day to do everything I'd want to do.

I would love to experience it from my current age....I could appreciate things better than it was when I was only 5 back then. I would relish in the music, the fashions/styles of the day...I would visit old stores that no longer exist, and like Bill said, I would buy a heck of a lot of the now, "retro" toys that I used to have back in the day.

I too would visit with now deceased relatives, and I would love to view "little" me and see what I was up to at age 5.  :D

Just one day? Certainly I'd rent a car, drive around a bit (while listening to all the radio stations that are no longer around), and check out all the places that were around in 1982 but have since gone away.

I'd probably throw down a few bucks at an arcade,  maybe grab a bite to eat at one of those restaurants that went under and I never had a chance to go to, and certainly I'd have a couple of drinks at one of those bars that closed down before I turned 21.

It would be fine if it was 1982.  Really though, what happened in 1982?  I have no clue, I was in kindergarten eating glue and coloring. 

I think I would crap my pants if ended up in the time of dinosaurs.  That would seriously suck.
