Subject: 2008 New Year's Resolutions?
Written By: CatwomanofV on 12/29/07 at 11:25 am
So, what are your New Year's Resolutions?
I usually say every year that my resolution is to never make new year's resolutions. :D ;D ;D However, this year, I do have a few:
(Can't be stop smoking because I already did that.)
-Lose the weight I have gained in the last 2 months.
-Get this house in shape-i.e. clean out the clutter (which drives Carlos up the wall), paint, have the bathroom redone, etc. etc.
-Add to my coin collection. ;D ;D ;D
I'm sure I will come up with more.

Mine is easy - To win one major grand prize in the state lottery... It is one I can keep to the end of the year for sure. I did this last year and haven't broken it yet.

The usual... Lose weight (the number of pounds has unfortunately increased over the years)
Keeping the house cleaned (really cleaned) once I get it done this weekend
This year's additions:
Be a better daughter to my parents, help them out more in ways that I can (since I can't financially), keep on top of the medical stuff, help Mom more with the technology stuff
Find a boyfriend? (question mark since I don't know if this a good time or not)

-Get a better, higher paying "real" job (which I'm looking for at the moment)
-Save up a decent amount of money
-Go back to school and finish my degree (I'm not too far creditwise), or at least get closer
-If things work out that way, take a cross country trip this Summer
-Related to the above one, to prepare to eventually move out to Pennsylvania around Summer '09 (what a great way to close out the Zeroes). :)

Funny you say that (in a good way), because I just got braces put on a few weeks ago myself. See I've had a bit of an overbite since I was 9 or so, and always wanted to fix it, but only went through with it recently. Especially since I'm into acting and performing, it's something I'm looking forward to, lol.
I guess that's another resolution I've already started. They'll be on for about two years, but I've gotten entirely used to it already.
As a general note, it's amazing how being in love with someone can inspire you to do things to much more than you ever were before. I guess because you're literally caring and providing about another life besides your own. :)

I noticed that, too. I could make the excuse that I didn't need to lose weight 3 months ago-in fact, I think I needed to gain a bit-but now, I feel that I gained TOO much. I just can't win. ::)

The only real resolution for the year is to become more outgoing. I know that it's a gradual thing, so it could take more than just a year to become how I want to be. :-\\ (But it's for the better!)
You wouldn't know it if you only know me via the internet, but I'm very shy and introverted. So yeah, that's something to work on in 2008 and into 2009.

Several years ago, I told my dad that my New Year's Resolution was to become a real bitch. He just laughed and said, "You will never make it." I THINK that was a complement. :-\\

As for me-I did get my bathroom redone-and had the kitchen painted. Still have a long way to go to get things de-cluttered.
Yup-this years resolutions look very much like last year. :-\\
