It's a sad fact, that most/ many of the people I thought might be life-time buddies etc; ... well, that hasn't been the case ... although I still maintain a few friends from decades gone by. However, it is a fact that we live in a more 'transient' world, in this sense ... so .. our friendships here ... are probably less binding than people we have met in the flesh ... and it's only natural,  there'll have been a big turn over .... even in only 5 years from now .... let alone 20 !!  ::)

From me Rolf Harris has always been around, a superb entertainer.

Well, inthe80s.com is now closing in on 13 years... and I ran a BBS for five years before that.  So another 20 or so for this site?  not impossible.  Some of the BBSes from the early 80s made the transition to the web and are still going (such as the WELL).

Whether anyone here now will still be here then besides myself?  Anything is possible.

There have been some impressive inventions along the way ... but if a transporter ever materialises (or de-materialses ? ...  :-\\  ;D ) ... I think we're talking many centuries if not millennia from now  ???

Well, I have heard (off the 'top of my head') ... of prematurely aged born babies .... some rare disease ... I can / you can  /we can  ..... all google that one ... but I'm sure it's the case .... They might live a decade ...or less ?
