I haven't drank tap water in many years.  A few years ago, in a nearby town, the water got infected and killed a few people.  Ever since then, the only time I will drink tap water is if I am in a place where there is a water fountain.  Other than that, bottled or spring water all the way

Tap water here. Why people buy bottled water here is beyond me. When out and about, buy a cheap sports bottle then refill it again and again. That's what I do.

we have some of the best tap water around with EBMUD, but we only drink bottled water in our house, & Lady Di prefers the spring water while I don't care if the bottled H2O is spring or purified, but we use tap water when making coffee & for heating water for tea with our Krups water kettle that heats up water really fast. http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0Je5xaYBDRH6McAAxKjzbkF/SIG=125ig7ulq/EXP=1194677784/**http%3A//www.beveragefactory.com/images/flf2-j4.jpg

Tap water for me, for you still get the taste of plastic from the bottle the water came from.

Some bottled water here is slightly purified tap water. I don't believe it can be called spring water unless it actually comes from a spring.

Tap water here is decent, but more importantly it doesn't cost $1.19 for 20oz.

Me too. All of those plastic bottles are harmful for the environment too, so limiting their use is a good idea.

Tap water, boiled in a kettle and added to a teabag in a cup.

All depends on what tap.  My water pipes are very old, I wouldn't trust them, but i have water filters on the pipes coming into the house so I will drink from my tap.  Children are exposed to dangerous levels of lead by drinking out of the tap, so all formulas were made with bottled  water.

It all depends on the tap and/or the bottle. The best water I had was when I lived on top of a mountain. The water was great. Once in a while dirt would get into the pipes but it was "clean dirt"  :D ;D  -well, meaning soil-not chemicals, etc. The funny thing is, at the bottom of the mountain, there was a pipe with water coming out of it. I had seen many people stop and fill up jugs from that pipe-and I got the water from my tap. Yeah, I should have bottled it and sold it-but I didn't. Oh well. Now, my water isn't as good but it is ok-better than most places. I do filter it. I used to double filter it (a filter on the tap and then go through a Britta filter) but the filter on the tap broke and we haven't replaced it-YET!!!

Tap water that has been purified through a filter on the 'fridge.

I don't mind tap water, it usually doesn't taste too bad except sometimes during the summer the water has a strong chlorine smell.

Tap water is nasty, no offense. ;D I think if you're gonna drink that, at least run it through a filter first.

That said I've always really liked bottled water, ever since I got burnt out on sodas. I had so much from about 5 to 11 that I was like "geez think I'd rather try something else". Around 1994 I got really into Calistoga sparkling water as well as regular kinds of bottled stuff. Although I do have soda here and there, it's not a standard with me the way it was as a kid, lol.

I definately agree wth this.  I used to have one of those Brita Water Filter jugs, but I hated how long it took to filter the wayter, so I just started buying bottles of water.  I can usually get a case of 24 for around $2.99

I think tap water varies so much.  In England the water where we lived was nice to drink but one house we lived in youcouldn't drink it because the chlorine content was so high.  (Even though it was the same town).  The worst tap water I (didn't) drank was in a youth hostel near Durham.  It had a rusty appearance and tasted like blood (just from rinsing after teeth cleaning)  8-P

Here I usually drink tap water and will refill a bottle to take out during the day.
