I don't bite my nails but I'll bite or pick around my nails, especially if I'm nervous.

When I was in secondary school, I acted out a drama in class where I was nervous about a job interview or something like that. I pretended to bite my nails to signify feeling nervous, but the truth is, I don't bite my nails because it's a filthy habit. I'd rather take care of my nails by cutting and filing them.

That is true, being nervous does not help, even if you do not bite your nails, you can easily pick at them with the other fingernails.

I don't bite them just for the sake of biting them, but when I get a hang nail I usually bite it off.
