I can tell you my connection speed-SUPER SLOW!!!! I tried that link but it just took too long to download to find out how slow my connection is-so why bother wasting my time. I had a conversation with Carlos about this last night. I found out that we can get DSL WITHOUT going through Verizon-but going through Comcast. However the cost for DSL is about 4x as much as what we are paying now (we only pay $12 a months) and DSL will be close to $70. He said, "No!!! We don't need it that bad". But he is not the one who does all the downloads (i.e. updates,) or do uploads (our eBay pics to Photobucket) so he doesn't have to be patient like I do.
Ok, sorry. Rant is over.

I got 3,929 Download, and 973 Upload (New York).
Other servers are slower on the download (gets slower the more I move to the west), but upload stays about the same no matter where.

Well, ... I do get throttled to around 32kbps after using a 'whopping' ;) 200 MB ... and that's usually consumed within a week or so, leaving me at this speed for about 2 and a half weeks out of 4. When I'm not throttled, my theoretical max. is 128kbps. Still, as I'm only paying $20 a month for unlimited downloads .... I find I can live with it ....

That was then, this is now !
Well then, I had my old modem (now kaput) and old address. Actually thought things just might've improved .... but the speed test I just did ... reveals:
29kbps (i.e., same as last time)
18 kbps upload ! (A significant drop ! :\'( ).
That was done through 'Opera' browser .. might try again via Firefox (later date), in case any difference.
Well, seemingly not good news, but I do experience a lot less 'drop outs' since moving, so not all bad news. :)
