Subject: Small Talk
Written By: Red Ant on 10/02/07 at 2:47 am
We all do it: make relatively meaningless conversation just to pass the time.
This time though it has a much greater purpose: to eventually become #1 on the Big Boards! mwahahahaha!
There is no specific idea for this thread, though playing off of the above poster's comment would be cool.
I'll start:
"Good morning"

It reminds me of that "I Love Lucy" episode where Ricky wanted to be able to read bedtime stories to Little Ricky, but Lucy wanted them in English, so she gave him books to practice. I still remember his "horror" when he found out how many words spelled similarly had completely different pronunciations (i.e. rough & cough)...there were better examples, but naturally now that I need to recall them, I can't. ::)

The episode where he recited "Little Red Riding Hood" in Spanish, with tidbits of English here and there, was when Lucy insisted he spend time with his son.
The ep where he mispronounced "rough" and "cough" (as "rau" and "coo", respectively) was from the previous season, before Little Ricky was born. That's the one where they hired an English tutor so that their kid would grow up speaking English well.

Oh yes, they do. When lugging them uphill!
But still, it's not for the same purpose that dogs pull sleds.
