This is something I have been thinking about posting, so I decided to go ahead and throw it out there.

In short, who on this board would you most like to meet?  Is there anybody that you have read in here that makes you go "Gee, I would like to get together with them and share a pitcher with"?

Personally, there are 5 that come to mind immediately.  And I know for some, it would probably be rather shocking.  So here are my 5.

1 & 2:  Don Carlos and Catwoman.
3.  Maxwell Smart
4.  Quirk
5.  Rice Cube

My first 2 should really not be a surprise.  Even though I dissagree with these people as often as I agree with them, I have a lot of respect for both of them.  They always tend to make heartfelt posts, and are genuinely fun to communicate with.  And I bet they would be a real blast to have a 6 pack of Adult Alcoholic Beverages with.

Max would be interesting for a different reason.  I think that as long as the two of us could keep the conversation civil, we would be able to learn a lot from each other.  I could just picture us getting smashed and singing Kumbaya.

Quirk seems to show a lot of spunk, and speaks passionately about her beliefs.  And she takes no gruff off of anybody.

Rice also seems to be somebody who speaks passionately, but also listens to the views of others.  He may not agree with you, but he rarely gives you the feeling that he does not respect you.

And apologies to anybody I have missed.  About the only person on this board who I would not like to meet is myself.  That is because I know that I am nothing but a big jerk, and would like to have as little contact with as possible.  :D

I have been on this site for about 2.5 years now, and I have made what I consider to be really great pals.  I have met 2 people from the boards so far, one is still a member (Andrew--Tubeway General). It would just be really cool to be able to zap everyone into one place at one time, and not have to worry about schedules, distance, time differences, etc.

For what it's worth, based on what I know from talks on here or in PMs, I think I'd probably get along quite well with yourself (of course), Trimac, Brian, Krisssie (Hot Stuff), James, and Audrey (audkal). As well as some of the old-school '05 crowd.

Although some of them don't come on as much, I'd probably have some great conversations with some of the pop culture/decadeology analysts like TV, Echo Nomad, and Machine Head. Then, there's some people I have certain individual things in common with, like Stepchan's a fellow Weird Al devotee.

Like I said, I don't want to be selective 'cause I'm sure I could find something in common with most people.

I'd hate to single anyone out; I would love to meet everyone as well :)

I think tops on my list would be Tam cause her and I are from the same city, and we could talk about the way the city used to be, as it has changed so much since the days of long ago
