Don't know if there was a thread like this before---what was your first swear word?  :P

I'm ashamed, my first was the F-word. ::)

When I was 5 or 6, I was reading the lyrics from a Green Day song to my mom (from the booklet I got with my cassette).  I never even heard of the F-word at the time so I didn't know it was bad or anything.  So as I was reading, I just said it, and my mom yells, "Audrey!  Don't ever say that again!"  Confused, I said, "Uh...okay", and went in the backroom, still wondering what I had done wrong.  ;D

My first swear word was "b!tch", which I never really thought was a swear, cause I learned it watching 'The Golden Girls' ;D

hahaha...this is kind of humorous. My first real swear was also the F bomb.  There was this girl that I went to elementary school with and she was real prissy....so people made fun of her. Well, I was friends with this kid named Tommy, who rode my bus....and he started saying (to the prissy girl)....Elizabeth f**Kinizer.....over and over again, so I joined in with the old chant as well...needless to say, I got in trouble. :( ;D :D

As for me, I must have sworn quite a bit when I was younger, say, three or so, being around my current housemate's friends who were eleven years older than me at the time... other than that I didn't really swear until I was eleven or so...

That's funny because I sort of had a similar experience when I was 6 or 7, although it wasn't from me personally saying anything. There's a somewhat explicit song on Prince's 1999 album (my mom was a fan of his in the late '80s) where he mentions the F-word. When I heard that, I didn't know what it meant, but I sorta thought it was funny.

Even though I was aware of swearing in a cursorary way when I was really young, I don't remember the first time I personally ever did it. My parents are pretty casual about things like that, but I can recall them sorta saying "Maybe we shouldn't talk that way around him". They would've gotten me in trouble for it as a kid, but by the time I was around 13 they didn't really care. Not that I've ever done it that much (I actually think I've always been mature in that way), but I mean if I was annoyed and was expressing a point, they were cool with it.

My Dad's totally at fault. We were in the car.. he yelled it.. I repeated it.. he tried to bargain with me not to say it.. and of course.. at 3 if someone attempts to coerce you in to not saying something.. it automatically becomes your favorite word.

However, thanks to some wonderful church brainwashing, up until about the age of 9 I thought that if you swore more than 10 times in a day, you'd go to hell... ever since then I've been playing catch up.. quite well I like to think.

For me I cannot remember which word came first, but I do know that I learned the words from reading Adolf Hitler: My Part in His Downfall by Spike Milligan. It is the first part of his war trilogy in five parts, and the language used was that of a trooper.

When I was in kindergarten, I was riding the bus home from school and a friend of mine's older brother (who has since became a born-again Christian) told me to say, "F*ck it, f*ck it" to the bus driver when I got off the bus. Not knowing any better, I cheerfully obliged. The bus driver, who had a reputation for being a real hardass, gently chided me and told me that I shouldn't use that kind of language. If I remember right I also told my mom about it and probably got a mouthful of Ivory.  ;D

It was a very tame swear word, and actually, I don't even think it counts as a swear word now, but I sure did get in trouble for it.  It was damn.  I don't even remember the context in which it was said.  Yeah I know I was naive and innocent back in the day.  ::)

My dad's favorite music group is N.W.A. and he used to play "Dope Man" quite a lot when he was home. One day, I just said "f--k"... not in any context, not in anger.. It was just a random word I said while I was walking into the kitchen one day.. just that.

When i was 5,i heard my father say "porra",it's like "damn",or "f*ck",or "sh*t",something you say when you either angry or surprised,i knew it was a dirty word but i started saying it all the time at school,one day the nuns called my mom and told her that if i didn't stop i would be expelled,because all the kids were saying it at home,dumb kids got me in trouble 'cause they thought that was a cool word to bring to mom >:(

And 'til this day that's my favorite swear word,and i could say it all the time without worrying,that was until i had the great idea to move to a country where people understand it.

Same here. Mine was either hell or damn. I remember when my mother was upset, she would say "damn, damn, diddle damn". (or was it "double damn"  :-\\ ). I remember listening to a song (from a musical) and the lyrics included the word "hell". I told my mother that I wanted to sing the song but knew it had that "bad word" in it. My mother told me that it was ok to say it if I was singing a song which it was part of the lyrics.

I have a vaguely similar story. See, my grandma on my mom's side was actually from Thailand and she sorta told me about some cusswords in Thai (I actually forget what they are now, lol). Now that's something I always got a kick out of, and I even shared them with some friends at school.

My granddaughter is 19 months old and she has the mouth of trucker. She doesn't say many words
clear but the curse words come out clear as a bell, and yes, she knows them all.

When my neice was little, she would sit on the stairs and try and put her shoes on. I remember one day, she'd got one on and was trying to get the other one on, well, she dropped it.. and this little voice pipes up "I dropped shoe." I thought awww.. cute. Then a few seconds later she dropped it again and I hear this little "F**k"

I sometimes say "dammit" to myself anytime I try to do something and it doesn't come out the right way. Or if I'm watching baseball on tv and the team I'm rooting for does something bad like waste a scoring opportunity.

I used the word "sh!t" a lot and sometimes the French form of the word. Rarely to do I say the "F" word but I do from time to time. Sometimes I will use "fooji-ga-pista" which I got from Cheech & Chong's "At the Drive-in"  :D ;D ;D I also use other words that are now more "tame" then they used to be, "damn," or "damnit", "b!tch" (I used it more as a verb than a noun-but I have used it as a noun for choice people  ;) ). I NEVER use the "C" word except when Carlos and I are... :-X  ;)

I cant really remember what swear word I said first.  I just know that I followed my dad around when I was a kid because I would learn a new word everyday, especially when he was working on a car.  Son-of-a-bitch was one of his favorites.  Trying to get a screw in in a very hard place, he would say I dare you to go in bitch.  I think I heard all the words when he dropped a car battery on his toe one day.  ;D

However, I couldn't quite understand why I got my mouth washed out when I was just trying to say the same words as him.    ;D
