I think I'm the only white guy that likes 1990's R&B like Babyface, and Tevin Campbell abd I prefer to listen to that style than the hip-hop that everybody likes(not that there is anything wrong with listening to hip-hop.)
One of the first things I notice about a woman is their hair and their hairstyle and I think I'm one of the few guys that does this.

Yeah, I know what you're saying, man. I'm not sure if a woman's hair is the first thing I notice, but I do notice it. Like, even though Ricki Lake is still attractive, I preferred her longer hairstyle with bangs from the '90s.

I'm not a primarily rock, ballad or R&B type, because I'm into a little of everything. I also like alot of the old-school '90s slow-jam type R&B. For instance, "I Swear" by All 4 One.

it's very doable, but I should clarify. it's a sandwich of white bread slathered with mayo and saltines for the filling. funny thing is I remember eating that a couple of times as a kid when we were out of bologna and I was hungry & we were kinda poor, and now I still like it, yet now can have all the bologna/meat I want.  ;D

I used to be the same way.  Before my hearing problem got worse, I'd use the close captioning just to have something to read.  Heck I'd even read cereal boxes and back of labels even though I had no *real* interest in nutritional data.  ;D 

Sometimes it's amusing (for the closed captioning),  the words they use (when they get the words wrong).  Pittsburgh is one of the cities that they do closed captioning in, my then boyfriend/ now husband had interviewed for one of the companies to do subtitles.

Long and sad story.  My husband's grandfather was beaten nearly to death back in the 70s (and actually even though they didn't beat him to death in the initial event, he died on the way to the hospital because of a heart attack) basically because he complained to the neighbor about how loud they were playing their music.  Instead of just calling the police anonymously, he went over and told them to turn the music down because his grandkids (my husband, who was 7 at the time and his sister who was 4) were trying to sleep.  Apparently the guys were real losers and all jacked up on...something...and were a tad over-aggressive, and came over the backyard fence and beat this poor old man nearly to death.

But having said that, it isn't the true reason why I don't tell the neighbors to turn down his music nor do I complain to management of our apartment complex or call the police...
Basically, I just don't want trouble, and am too much of a puss to get into any confrontation.  Let's just say I'm awfully glad not to have been born a male where it's practically expected for you to fight.  If the music gets too bad, I just leave my apartment for awhile and go someplace else (preferably a bookstore or library - although when they play their music loud late, I'm kinda at a loss for places to go since everything is closed for the evening.)

Bookmistress4ever and agrimorfee .... I too have a fair bit of noise aggravation. These days, it primarily comes from neighbours dogs. I am an animal lover, but years ago, this one dog that barked very penetratingly, throughout the day .... well, I was close to the end of my tether after approx 18 months of this. I hate to confess this, but I was even contemplating chucking poisoned meat over it's fence. This dog is a doberman, and I would often wander by the fence, with my head in the clouds (deep in thought), almost home and it would suddenly bark on the other side of the fence, and make me 'jump out of my skin'. My thoughts / blood pressure went from calm/ at peace to boiling /angry in a flash at being startled thus. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

For years, I have slept with 'white noise'. I have a loudspeaker about 2 feet from my head, and have a second video player without an aerial plugged in, feeding into my stereo, so that I hear 'white noise', which I select when trying to sleep. I select maximum bass, and the 'soft' setting. This seems to work best. Certainly, it helps me sleep through those sudden short bursts of sound like the 'sanitation engineers'  :D collecting the garbage. However, even with pillows on both sides of my head, and the 'white noise' turned up really loud, this dog would wake me up when I was ... well, 'dog-tired' ....  :D  in a really deep sleep/ exhausted / knackered! I would be very  ****ed off as a result, when this persisted through the day. >:(

Ultimately, I got on to the council rangers, and it was eventually solved. I suspect they got a citronella collar for it (not cheap), which I believe sprays something at the dog when it barks. I had some relative bliss for almost 2 years. Since then, though, it seems others have moved into the area with dogs, and they are now often setting each other off. Also, I believe the dog mentioned above has returned to its former ways too .... Terrific!  >:(

Still, I have to admit that maybe when I was younger, I might've now and again played my music excessively.  :-I       thought it was good ..... stuff like the 'Moody Blues' for example. One particular track I used to love to crank up was 'How is it we are here' (on 'A question of balance') especially the mellotron section of that song ... and also the ending of "My song" ... the last song on 'Every good boy deserves favor'. There have been plenty of other songs that I've loved to blast and sing my heart out to ... and have to wonder if I annoyed anyone, but nobody's actually ever told me off in that regard.

These days, I do it much more sparingly / considerately. I reckon my neighbour doesn't know I'm here most of the time (95% + ??)  ... so it might be 'testosterone' related ... or a mellowing that occurs as we age .....or just a bigger realisation of how your actions might negatively influence others. Reckon I've always been considerate/accommodating/sensitive, but now, maybe more so ....

Anyhow, I envy a friend in England who lives right out in the boondocks, with no adjoining walls, who can pretty much blast his stereo to kindgom come without upsetting anyone. He has put around 20 years of his life into renovating this old barn, and will make a fortune on it when he expects to sell it ... probably next year. I suspect after he's moved out,  he might find having neighbours again a bit of an adjustment ....

I hear ya loud and clear, Agrimorfee. Over the years, we've had some neighbors who've blasted their stereos so that we can all hear them. Often times the noise has continued late at night after we've gone to bed. People like that are just inconsiderato. I don't understand why they couldn't keep the loud music confined to the privacy of their own home.

I like to put ice cream in the fridge, let it melt, then put it in the freezer.. the ice.. and the cream.. as it were... seperate, so it's like a double layer crunch/smooth thing but the same flavor. Love it.

Skunk, from a distance isn't bad, however having a dog that has been sprayed not too long ago, I can say that the smell of skunk up-close and wet dog/skunk scent are two of the most revolting smells.  ;D

I love em...the hotter the better!
