My right eye is the dominate eye. I did it a few times and re-read it to make sure.

I'm left eyed dominant. I, being right handed, was often asked why I threw darts or played shuffleboard
left handed. I told them, because I see better. Now I know why.  ;D

Maybe the object you are choosing is too close to you or maybe you're not holding the "circle" close enough to your face

Or you are nearsighted/farsighted... But you don't really need to focus on the object, just know what the object is...

Left here too.  Isn't it that the left half of your brain controls your right side of the body, so my right brain must be controlling the spatial ability of my left eye?? Maybe, maybe?  Well, the optometrist did say I had one eye stronger than the other last time I got glasses.

I tried it twice and got different results.

I'm right eye dominated which is good because I can only close my left eye.

I don't have left or right.  I knew that though, when I learned how to shoot a gun(at the gun club, not out in the backyard) they did the test and hovered around me a bit because I'm a "two eyed shooter". 

Or you are nearsighted/farsighted... But you don't really need to focus on the object, just know what the object is...

Are you focusing on your hand rather than the object? that would make your hand look clear and the object out of focus.................

That happened to me when I tried it a few years ago, but now it's working for me... weird.
