**I think if you're drinking and partly wet, any sort of poker game had best be done with those double waxed cards so they don't start folding& falling apart once they get wet.  I prefer Aces wild, but if you must, find a secluded corner under the weepin willow but you have to go home for the card table AND the cards.
  And, I have water rings, I am not throwing money into the pool...might get into the filter by mistake then I'll have to call the repair guy  but I will dust off the volleyball set and serve from the shallow side.  Who's w/ me?  Heads up!

No. yer not a geek. LOL! That's how I spelled it! But I do mean you're...but I meant it as a plural "You all are invited" which is why i said yer but it should be y'er which looks stupid really in my educated estiimation....proper or not! I should have said Ya'll but i'm in california, so my "country" isn't usually spelled or spoken either.  I did NOT mean Gen Y---tho they are invited too!
  No also I guess it's still open because I couldn't find the damn thread to close it 2 weeks ago!  We'll leave it dormant and whoever can keep it going.      we'll relocate to Hawaii or Australia for the winter and keep the party going there where the weather is nice in December.

Yer .. oops ... I mean y'er (see ... I'm eduMacated too!  :P ;) :D ) invited to my new pad .. here in Australia ... where the weather is nice in December. Well, so I'm told.

Depends where you are. It can be really hot here from late October onwards ... but in Sydney, in my experience .... December can often be overcast/ changeable. Once you're into January, it's much more settled .... blue skies, beach weather .... generally till about beginning of April.

I don't have a 'barbie' to throw a shrimp on for yer  y'er (get it right!  >:( ;)  )  but there should be a couple of cold beers in the fridge!  :D  ;D

Oh that would be way cool!  I love night swim.  I remember reading about our city pool that they used to have something called Midnight Swim in the 1950s.  If it were a warm and muggy night, a swim would be the perfect thing!  It's starting to get cooler in the evenings here, and it rained all day today so swimming isn't necessarily on my agenda anytime soon. 

Although, Michelle's pool seems rather pleasant tonight. *sticks toe in to test how warm it is*

I'd be totally down for a midnight swim. before we moved into our house, we lived in a condo and I used the pool day and night. it was great, I'd jump into the pool, then into the hot tub and then back in the pool and then back in the hot tub. that felt so good.

Only a couple years ago, One of the Pittsburgh Pirate Mascots (no, not the Pirate Parrot - but the guy that ran around looking like a pirate) was busted with his girlfriend swimming in the public pool after hours.  It made the night news.  He unfortunately lost his job the next day.
Although I don't think it was necessarily that he jumped the fence and was swimming after hours...he was probably busted doing something else)  :o

I just ate breakfast so I'll wait a while.

as per Mr. Mister's suggested locale change we're moving to Australia where it's lovely weather in November/December.  I've taken the liberty of notifying the neighbors the old pool is up for grabs.      There is now a sauna, spa, and yes, two pools. one is heated for night swimming.  The guard goes out for lunch at noon and isn't on duty after sunset so you're on your own.
    Please feel free to lounge in the house and feel at home.  Renting for the season can be well worth it!  Just look at that view of the acres of land this house is sitting on!  Um, be careful of the wildlife sometimes the african wilderness preserve near by "loses" an animal or two and they end up out here.
