I'm looking forward to my first fun filled month at Pathmark.Towards the end of the month,I'm going to be on the Union which is great for me plus paychecks will be coming in like water every Thursday.I'm happy to work and to make money again.Better hours and better days plus being outside is great depending on the weather conditions.I'm getting to enjoy customer service a whole lot there.I should do fine and my job coach/supervisor are proud of me that I'm working hard to do my job right.  :)

Felt OK, for most of the day.

The rest of my new music came in today, so that helped me feel a LOT better.

Well....yesterday I felt bummed, because our internet connection at home was corrupt again. Turns out, it's the modem that's the problem. My mom ordered a new modem on Tuesday, and it's supposed to be delivered sometime today. If that doesn't work, then... who knows what the problem could be.

I'm feeling pretty good.Today is payday at Pathmark and it looks like another huge paycheck for me so with all that money I might consider going back to putting money in my bank account again or asking my Mother if she could have a seperate account which is my money but under her account in the bank.That way,my money will be safe and I won't have to have all those hundreds of bills lying around my room.

sorry to hear you're sad Ashley, and this all sorta sucks, but I guess you get to do and accomplish things like so many of us had to do, on our own. It's tough, but you'll be very self sufficient and able to take care of yourself when you're out on your own and in your own place and as part of the working class. so hang in there, hopefully someone will help.

I'm pretty happy Robin And I are seeing each other part time and It's ok with me.It gives her a chance to see friends and family while her guy is out there working and feeling good for himself.Sometimes we may not be able to each other because of late days at Pathmark such as tomorrow the schedule was supposed to be 10-2 but was changed to 2-6 so then I said maybe next week and I'll let her know what happens from there.Hey,I wanted to work and make money so there you go.I'm back in the high life again.  :)

I'm happy...Micah got home yesterday.  We had a great afternoon, then she went to Project Prom.  She is still sleeping (it is almost noon).

I did talk to him.. wanna know the funny thing? It wasn't true at all... this other dude was making it up (I should have known, he's a chronic liar) to try to piss me off and make me get mad at this guy. So the first guy and I are okay.. I'm pissed at the lying dude.

Went to a concert last night.. got into a fight with this dude from Hagerstown, Maryland.. he was the lead singer of a band I saw before (who sucked), and he was filling in for another band's vocalist (who also sucked)... he was also a dick... the whole thing started by accident, and was over quickly, but I sorted that sh-t out.

I still managed to have a good concert all in all.. and then I had a rehearsal with my own band.

We're debating finding a bass player so I can switch to keyboard.. I'm better at keyboard, and it would allow me to concentrate on vocals more than playing the bass would (which reminds me, my voice is back, so I can growl again!)... but we're still not sure. I'm thinking it would be a good switch.. of course, now I have to buy a different amp.

Well, ELO Kiddies, here's the Weekend in Hawk's Haven, summed up:

Friday- Woke up very early, in time for the Butte County Surplus Sale.
Goes on the 1st Friday of each month- they clear out their excess stuff, at decent prices.
Upside- I finally have my own frippin' computer! $100 got me a 1.2 mHz computer, w/20 GB hard drive.
Complete with monitor, keybord, mouse & all cables. (I was actually able to get the best of the lot!)

Downside- No modem, and I have to have it installed. (My father-in-law, the Uber-Computer Wizrd, is working on getting things taken care of.)

Saturday- The Cinco de Mayo gig went pretty well. Up in Paradise, where everyone & everything is mellow.
The one who booked us is a photographer. He will be sending me some digital pics, which will be used in PR online stuff, as well as on the website, which will be ready by the end of June!

Downside- As a result, Melissa had to cover my first 1 1/2 hrs. @ The Pheasant Club, for my Sat. night session. However, she's covered for me a couple times- mainly when I was in the hospital, recovering from my last ankle surgery. Still got paid, tho'.......

Sunday- Had a good day, mostly.....until I get a call from my sister-in-law, saying that my daughter had bitten one of her kids. En route to get her, I am informed by my wife that getting our tower back will take about 2-4 weeks. This, naturally, sets me in a depressed mood, from which I haven't quite recovered.
To wait for so long on something so essential to today's world, especially with the impact it could have on my sideline, and then to be told I have to wait yet longer, still.......I was in tears, off & on today.
(There are legitimate reasons for this- will explain if asked)

To top it off- Friday, my wife is informed that her final Grandparent- her maternal Grandfather, has died.
It might've been worse, if her Grandfather had been worth a damn. However, he was a dirty old man- he suiffered the sickness of being a molestor/pedophile. Only one of his children has really mourned the loss, and that's because she refused to believe what "Daddy" did. Melissa is there for her mom, naturally, but she seems to be totally at peace with the issue.

I feel great to be back online today. When our connection at home gets restored, that'll be even more wonderful!

Well, ELO Kiddies, here's the Weekend in Hawk's Haven, summed up:

Friday- Woke up very early, in time for the Butte County Surplus Sale.
Goes on the 1st Friday of each month- they clear out their excess stuff, at decent prices.
Upside- I finally have my own frippin' computer! $100 got me a 1.2 mHz computer, w/20 GB hard drive.
Complete with monitor, keybord, mouse & all cables. (I was actually able to get the best of the lot!)

Downside- No modem, and I have to have it installed. (My father-in-law, the Uber-Computer Wizrd, is working on getting things taken care of.)

Saturday- The Cinco de Mayo gig went pretty well. Up in Paradise, where everyone & everything is mellow.
The one who booked us is a photographer. He will be sending me some digital pics, which will be used in PR online stuff, as well as on the website, which will be ready by the end of June!

Downside- As a result, Melissa had to cover my first 1 1/2 hrs. @ The Pheasant Club, for my Sat. night session. However, she's covered for me a couple times- mainly when I was in the hospital, recovering from my last ankle surgery. Still got paid, tho'.......

I'm feeling really good.I made Robin feel positive over the phone tonight and had a half hour conversation over the phone with her.She told me that she feels negative every day and that she fears the future and then I was saying to her that If you let your anxiety get in the way,It's only going to hinder you for the rest of your life.Try turning the negatives into positives and always think of good thoughts every single day.Then I told her that I get my optimism from My Mother and that I like to transfer my optimism and give it to someone else,especially her.Other than that,I feel much better talking to someone I care about.    :)

I am a bit ticked off. We just got back from a retirement ceremony for a former collegue of Carlos' and a former professor of mine. The way it sounded, that she implemented programs that in fact Carlos implemented (or at least it was his idea) and it sounded like she was such a WONDERFUL teacher when in fact, she was one of the worst teachers I had at that school. I was talking to another former student and she felt the same way I did, which made me feel that it wasn't just me. I also talked to another former collegue of Carlos (and a former teacher of mine) and she basically said that my instincts were right on. Again, it made me feel a bit better. Of course having several glasses of wine didn't hurt either.  ;)  Yeah, I'm feeling no pain right now, but it did enlighten me a bit.


Oh yeah, I was pissed because right before we left the house, I had on my new dress and I bent down to put on my shoe and felt something give. I felt the side of the dress and there was a rip in the side-yes, a new dress!!  >:( >:(  So, at the last minute, I had to change my dress. Luckily I had just bought a new one yesterday. I was on the turnpike (Which is 65mph). However, there was construction going on (BUT, all of the other times, while the road work was happening, it was 55mph) This time it just so happened to be 45mph, and I was going 55. It was my first offense, and it wasn't even that major of speedage. $150. Lame. As. Hell.

It went very well. The girls I work with are nice (and extremely laid back.. they basically let me do anything I want), but they're not too nice to the guys unfortunately. I was nice to them (The guys), so they warmed up to me today... at least Chris did. I took care of him the most. And no, the diaper changing wasn't as bad as I thought, but guess what I get to do tomorrow?! That's right, a rectal suppository! In fact, Chris gets one every other night. Ah well, I'll get used to it. I'll have to call you tomorrow, or something and tell you more about it.

As far as the ol' "butt missile" goes- It's somewhat creepy and odd at first, according to friends of mine who are/were Care Home Providers, but sooner or later, it just melts into the background.

They also explained about why female attendees are generally rude to male patients, as I once asked this-
Most are generally either afraid of giving the male patients ideas, or they just figure that since they're old, they are easy mental scratching posts.

It's a thought that's really weighing on me, because of one particular issue I have:
It's a contest for Country music.

While I started out in Country, it's not a music arena I ever pictured myself going back to.
True, I have sung some Country music at my sessions, and I also do a "cross-over" country piece with Salsa Bella, but I haven't seriously sang Country music in well over 25 yrs.!

The issue I have is this:
Do I return to my musical roots, in order to shot for a possible prize, or do I stick to my guns, and possibly forfeit an entry?

Well, I have just found out about something that is making me really think.

I recently traded in my Missouri license for an Illinois one and whilst I was there I picked up one of those highway rules book things they have. All the fines and punishments are basically twice what they are in Missouri.

Last fall I was balancing a full-time job, internship, hospitalized child, graduation, and relationship.  Losing the relationship for a while eased things up a bit, but the gym membership was definitely a casualty (even before the hospitalization).  It wasn't too bad for me because I worked the same hours every day--didn't have to worry about schedule shifts, etc.  He got off work before I did.  We lived 2 miles apart, so we were able to hang out and watch tv weeknights from 8-10 (except during the summer when he worked longer hours, then it was tougher) and saw each other on weekends.  Summer was hit and miss during the week, sometimes just a phone call before bed and see each other on weekends.  Micah was crazy about him, too, so she loved it when he came over and when we went over there.  Unfortunately, I don't have to balance it anymore.  :\'(

If you really are serious about going out with each other you will just have to find a way around your different schedules.  If you have to work on Sunday afternoon you could meet up in the morning for example.

OOOh, sounds great. Unfortunately, Carlos HATES amusement parks so it will have to be just me (but can I live without Carlos by my side?  ??? ) . He took me to Disneyland in California (my first trip there since my sister gave us tickets). As we were leaving, I told him that I had great time and I thanked him for taking me and he said, "I'm really glad that you had a good time and the next time you want to go...have someone else take you because I HATE amusement parks". He could have told me before hand but that just shows that he was willing to do that for me.  :) :) :)  Of course, now that we are an old married couple, it is very different.  :D ;D ;D ;D

Ya, I was down there 2 weeks ago.  Its kind of a tradition now.  They almost expect us to go down there.  Plus, their 2 youngest sons are probably used to us taking their bunkbeds when we come down.  :)  I just hope Tim doesn't have to puke again.  I thought he was going to lean over and puke on my head.  Its fun, almost 30 and sleeping in a bunk bed.


Of course.....then again, I might need at least 1 because I don't see hubby going.....unless someone wanted to come down from Vermont to keep me company

I have to sit down, and figure out the following:

-What Country music I know.
-Which songs I sing well.
-Which Country songs I can actually tolerate.
(No offense, but when you have a mother that did what mine did...well, you get burnt out easily.)

-On another note, I just got the call from Father-In-Law....the computer is ready to go, save for the Modem.
However, my wife's 1st Apt. paycheck came today, and after paying off the final bill for the moth, we may have enough for the Modem, and a Burner drive that is essential to my business.

What time do you finish work during the week?  Couldn't you meet up one evening for a meal?

If you really are serious about going out with each other you will just have to find a way around your different schedules.  If you have to work on Sunday afternoon you could meet up in the morning for example.


My hours differ during the week.Some days after 3,some days 7,some days 6 and when my shift ends she's either at work or just about coming home or is home.She doesn't want to even if I asked her.Robin is too tired from work during a long day and I'll respect her for that.

Mornings on Sunday is not good either.She's not a morning person so brunch is out of the question.Thre afternoons and evenings during the weekends is where she's more perky.So I'm praying when the new schedule comes out this Saturday,I want 10-2 ,10-4 or 12-4.Anything after that is going to be late for me.

Good call, Karen.  If you both want to see each other, you will find a way....maybe a brunch one day, a dinner another....maybe just a half hour doing nothing but chillin' out together.

I used to take classes after work when I was in the military.  I was taking Micoeconomics and my teacher was an older guy who would go on and on in a monotone voice.  I always spent the first hour of that class nodding off and the second hour trying to figure out what the heck we were talking about.

Finally- Getting my computer....this is the 1st one I've actually owned. The one I've been using actually belongs to my wife's boss. Since we pay for the phone line, we're allowed full access. Fair trade-off.
I am stoked, because as of this Sunday, I can actually start upgrading my sideline materials, until I get sick!

starting to feel sleepy

Im Tired.  Ice Age 2 woke me up.  Kids!!!  LoL.    :)

I feel relieved!  We were on our way over to my mom and dad's house when I got pulled over by a Michigan State cop.  :o  The stretch of M-20 that is so flat and boring got to me--she had me doing 70.  Oops.  Thanks to the grace of God and my clean record, she let me go with a warning to keep it at 55.  I was shaking so badly when she asked for license, etc. that she actually told me to breathe.  After the warning, Micah asked her about Criminal Justice so we spent another 15-20 mins with her talking to M about the best way to do it (do a dual major, not just CJ).

Feeling pretty good.  I did about 5 yard sales until it just got too hot to really do any more.  Didn't really find anything especially thrilling at any of them, but my hubby LOVES to talk to people, so he had a good time.  :)

Jeez! That was lucky. I passed a cop yesterday on a two lane country road, the limit was 50 and I was doing about 65, thankfully he didn't seem to notice. I had to slow down and breathe.  ;D

Whole day of stupid yardwork we really didn't need, so I'm very tired.

Gonna go into work at 8... they called and asked if I could, and a little extra money is always nice.

Our band's first song is almost written, I'm so proud of it.. it starts Power Metal (written by me and the guitarist), and then we have this incredibly heavy Doom section which I wrote myself.. it's amazing.

Yeah, I went today. It makes my Grandmother happy.. and it was her day, so I took one for the team.

It's just bizare.. everyone singing those crappy songs, they're always some whack-ass tempo and everybody is horrificly out of key and they all seem to think that shouting is the best way to let everyone know they're praising to the full extent of the word.  ::)

My husband is Serbian Orthodox and they don't really read during the service...at least they never did the times I went.  They have the chorus in the back that does all that singing and the priest sings and prays through the whole thing.  Then at the end he comes out and gives the moral lesson of the week.  The part I can't deal with is that they stand 90% of the time, it's unbearable!

I am a total peeker.  I also have a tendency to get the giggles in church.  I haven't been for years except to go to funerals and stuff like that.

Dude....that's the same thing I always try to figure out!!!! ;D  I think I asked my husband one time and I can't remember his answer.  But yeah, they all cross themselves at the same time and they all seem to know when to stand.

I'm not Catholic & I don't know much about the crossing or any other rituals & routines. There are so many other denominations that have their own traditions, beliefs & behaviors in church, but the way I see it is I'm not doing anything or behaving any way in church to please people, & i don't care what they think about my behavior as I'm trying to focus on worshipping God as best I can as I understand Him to be. When I bow my head, it's pretty much in humble reverence as to a King. Many times I open my eyes in prayer, & I close them, I look around, I sometimes don't follow along with the group because I figure it's between me and Him. so today I'm thinking, "now how am I gonna be looking at the chick's ass in front of me during the prayer" that is so not right. so I snuck in 1 more peek & then tried to focus on praying.  ;D  oh yeah, & when it comes to singing songs, I rarely sing unless I recognize the tune, otherwise I just listen. I kind of like the old hymn type stuff but many Church's don't do those anymore. everything is more contemporary.  one thing I'll add that they do at my church which I like is when we have communion or take an offering they let visitors know beforehand that they don't have to feel obligated to take communion or give, but to partake if they understand and want to.

And I'm sure she loved the gift.   :)

My favorite churches are the ones where everyone speaks in tongues, expect Jesus to come down out of Heaven right on the stage, cant watch T.V.,and basically cant do anything fun in life.  Where do I sign up?    What happens if you have a speech impediment trying to talk in tongues?  How do you do sign language that represents talking in tongues?  Do your prayers go unanswered?


On a happy note, I had 4 hours of sleep last night and have a 12 hour shift today.

I'm not Catholic & I don't know much about the crossing or any other rituals & routines. There are so many other denominations that have their own traditions, beliefs & behaviors in church, but the way I see it is I'm not doing anything or behaving any way in church to please people, & i don't care what they think about my behavior as I'm trying to focus on worshipping God as best I can as I understand Him to be. When I bow my head, it's pretty much in humble reverence as to a King. I did my honor's thesis about William Miller (who was the founder of the Seventh-Day Adventists). He predicted the the world would end around 1844 (he never actually set a date but someone else did). All his followers gave away their posessions, donned white robes and went up on roofs, trees and such so the trip to heaven would be shorter.  ::)  When that day didn't pan out, they choose another date.

I went to a pentacostal sevice once...it was bizarre.

If you head up into the mountains where Virginia and West Virginia meet, you might come acoss some of those snake handling churches.  They're usually called "The Church of God with Signs Following".  Their service is based on one versre from the Bible...

Fathre-in-law is having trouble getting the modem to be accepted properly.

The blurb on the package says it accepts all Windows from 95 up, and since I have Windows2000, it should work. However, there are also NT drivers in there, and that seems to be where the hang-up is.

I feel fine except my doctor's office just called and told me I have the Epstein-Barr virus.  I've been really tired lately, and so I went to the doctor before we went on our trip.  Apparently it's no big deal - tons of people get it.  It's just nice that I have a reason for being tired...I thought I was going crazy!

I know how nerve wracking it can be when they tell you it's in your head then find out it isn't.  My daughter was unable to walk for about 2 weeks before doctors finally did the right tests and found the spot on her spine.  She and I were so happy that they wouldn't be throwing the term "conversion disorder" around that we didn't care what the diagnosis was.

I hope this is a virus that you will quickly recover from and soon feel like yourself again---and not tired!

I looked up Epstein-Barr to find out what it is.  It's "just" glandular fever (mono) by another name apparently.  Perhaps other viruses can cause glandular fever as well.  Of course if you want to be dramtic you could tell even you have herpes!  http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/ask_the_doctor/glandularfever.shtml

I remember the other year during the world cup when you had a long winded battle with some ketchup for your fries, if I recall correctly it ended in disappointment when you managed to open it, only to find that the paltry amount inside barely covered 3 of your fries.

i was about to put it on the damn floor and stomp on it, and then just start dipping my french fries in the carpet. i don't even like ketchup that much! i just know these particular deli fries are not that good so you have to do something to disguise the sogginess. but i'd just as soon skip the ketchup. but after a couple minutes trying i was like, okay, nuh uh. the ketchup will not win this fight. i refuse to lose to ketchup.

Andy, was that you I saw dancing in the streets on tv in SF in the Castro district?  Lovechilds parental units are  extreme compared to many Christian parents I know, & I know a lot and I'm one.  They shouldn't force their beliefs on anyone, including their own child or else rebellion will likely be the result. the problem is protective parents treat their kids like little kids. I doubt that the writing on the pants would have corrupted him but i put myself in the parents shoes, my daughter comes home with that on her pants. How do I react as a Christian parent? i would ask, who did it? did you let them? Are you going to wear them out because there are guys like davey who see the word sex on your pants and think it's an invitation.  if you go out wearing those, take your taser with you please.

It took alittle while to get that far. I didn't save nearly 2000 images in one day.

My heavy image saving sessions come and go in waves, it depends on whether or not I find a new site with alot of images I like(Which happened this week). After I'm done with the site, I rarely go back to it. The only sites I go back to frequently are the various "chan" sites(iichan, 4chan, 2kochan, ko-chan mainly) which have multiple image boards on them. But it's not always to find new images I might want, sometimes it's just because I'm bored and want to see what's up.

The worst I have ever done is passout in a club bathroom.  I should have been kicked out, and im not sure why they didn't find me.  I mean, I think I was in there for 2 hours.

This coming after bringing a keg into a byob stripper club.  More like a hole in the wall, but the keg was fun. 

Oh, I puked in a cab in Japan once, but didn't say anything.  I just told my friends to pay and I bolted for the base gate.  I turned around and all I could see was the cabbie shaking his finger at us.  LoL.  Guess he wasn't gettting anymore customers for awhile.  It wasn't a bad one, it was more like a burp where more came out than I wanted.    ;D

Cant stand Jager though.

Tonight, this jerk crashed our band rehearsal... he doesn't get that we don't want him in the band, and yet he thinks he's the leader.. he's trying to make us a jazz-funk sort of band. ;D He brought his keyboard over and tried to dominate the whole band we never even implied he was part of.. which he's not.

To smoke him out, we played 2 straight hours of noisegrind. I had no idea I had it in me.. we all kept switching instruments too.. my god, it was beautiful. I wanna do it again and record it.

In other Mike related news, I got so angry with a mustard packet yesterday that I squeezed it in my fist and then rubbed my hand up and down my Bratwurst in a pretzel. The method works, but make sure you have plenty of tissues... the sensation of a palm full of mustard is familiar.. I'm just trying to place it.

I was at work this evening, and as soon as I started, I looked over and saw my ex-husband!!  I haven't seen him in like 4 years...and I did not want him to see me, or know where I worked. I've heard if you time your sleep in 90 minute intervals, you wake up most refreshed, because the average person ends an REM cycle after 90 minutes. For example, if you go to bed at 11:00 PM, it's actually better to wake up at 6:30 than it would be to wake up at 7:00 or 7:30.

I'm feeling exceptionally self-righteous.

Today I had a talk with the local police, over some remarks I made about 5 days ago whilst at a local bar, seems one of the regular patrons (and I would bet a large amount as to who) took offense to some of my remarks, which.. admittedly were fairly strongly worded and could be construed as a plot (I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about now  ;)) anyway, I basically explained that I meant no harm and was simply expressing myself freely which is after all something we're all entitled to do, I bought no harm to anybody and caused no panic and thus shouldn't be punished. To their credit they said that they have to check these kinds of things up and that it's not a big deal.

Essentially.. my remarks were something along the lines of.... "*such and such a prominent public figure* really ought to be strung up or f**king shot, Hell, I'll shoot the dozy Texan C**t myself. That useless f**k would serve us all better dead than he ever could alive."

I just found it hilarious that somebody got so bent out of shape about that.. that they actually called the police and reported it. The fact that it was 5 days ago and I spent all of about 2 minutes talking to the police kind of sums up how seriously they take it.. but still.. it is laughable.
