On this first day of April, I feel pretty good ;)

So frustrated with my kids (especially my son) today.  I took them to the store and they acted so bad.  I left my daughter with my husband and took my son to the car for being so bad.  He sat in the car seat screaming at the top of his lungs, I'm sure people must have thought I was beating him.

Okay, I'm slightly confused....I just checked my "permits" for school (for certain classes, you need special permission) and there are 2 there.....one for an English class I've never registered for (and DOUBT I'm going to take because I've already filled that "category" and have no desire to take more "Victorian Lit" classes ;D) and the second is for a co-requisite for the teaching program (clinical experience), but the co-requisite class is not listed so I'm not sure if I need to go ahead and register for the one that is or not ???  My registration slot is tomorrow afternoon and I probably won't have time to talk to my counselor today to ask her about it :-\\

For about 20 whole minutes I was in the same room as the dreaded Jessica last night.. and we were civil.. so I feel quite good about that.

Went to the ball game then went over to Ron's and watched Wrestlemania off of his Tivo dealy. A good night.

So yesterday was April's fool,right? After thinking about who would be the lucky one that got pranked this year,i decided on my ex-boyfriend,we're sort of friends again but i still hate him enough to make him suffer a little,so we meet up for lunch and i'm close to tears the entire time...Me:"i have something to tell you,but i don't know why,snif,snif" Him: "just say it,you know you can tell me everything" more fake tears from me and "i'm pregnant with your baby", his face went so white,for real i thought he would faint,it was hilarious,he goes on to say:"don't worry,we'll make it work.I'll stick by you",i start to feel bad,'cause he seems like he's gonna pick a name for the baby next. So i tell him it's a joke,he almost killed me ;D
So why is he dumb? We broke up almost 6 months ago,if i was pregnant,i would have a considerable bump by now,not so easy to hide when yesterday i was wearing some really low rise jeans and a tank top ::)

So,i apologise,not all men are dumb,only the lucky ones that dated me are!

I'm feeling torn right now.  A really good job was just posted here at the district, and I want to apply for it, but I don't want to leave my current boss.  He is a wonderful man, and I feel like I'd be deserting him.  My husband is a contractor and has horrible insurance, and the new job has teriffic benefits.  It would be totally worth it that way, but I'm really happy where I am and I'm afraid I'll regret it.

Any advice?

It's more than I'm making right now, and definitely more work though probably not difficult.  It's mostly the benefits that I'm after - you can't beat them.

I'd take the job.  I know you love your current boss and don't feel jazzed about getting a new one, but if the benefits are that good, and they are miles above what you are currently getting......the risk is worth the reward.

I'm thinking the same thing.  I think the biggest hurdle for me will be telling my boss.  The only silver lining is that I would actually be working for HIS boss, so we might be able to work something out where I could do both jobs.  That would be sweet.  It's doubtful that it would work, but it would be cool if it could.  And I'd STILL get half the summer off...

I'm going Friday, since I have school off, for a crazy jam session with the other guitarist and the percussionist for my band (gonna try to get the other guy in too, but it's iffy if he can come).. we're shooting ideas around right now for a band name, lyrical themes, etc. We know what sound we're going to have, but the rest of it's still up in the air.

On April 1st, I didn't play any tricks on anyone because I retuned home from my grandfather's house and went out for a drink and a bit of shopping. Yesterday I felt really upset and moody because my Link Woker Eva went out with another Service User for a few hours and that made me jealous. I must've let my emotions get the better of me or put it down to PMT.

I'm feeling good today. I worked the daylight shift, so I was done at 4:00...that's nice having the evening off! :)

He's going to fight this one because the cop stopped him for doing 35 in a 25 MPH zone.  Well, right in front of my husband's truck was a 35 MPH sign, but the cop said he had to be past the sign, he was still in a 25 MPH zone.   :-\\

We'll see how that goes.

I usually get those kind as well.  Every once in a while I'll get one that will knock me on my behind, but they are *knock on wood* not as frequent since I started meds a few years ago as a preventative.  Everyone is amazed at how well I function with one, but most of the time I have no choice cuz hubby's out of town and there's noone else to watch the kids :-\\

Feeling a little queasy and have a headache.  I don't know why I let things that have nothing whatsoever to do with me personally get to me.  I have got to learn how to just ignore things if they don't involve me, however at present time my "inner peacekeeper" is totally rattled.  I hate being that way.  ;D

It just means you're a good person who cares about others.  Yeah, it's a pain in the butt sometimes, but the world could certainly use more people like you in it.

Feeling a little better today, still didn't get a whole lot of sleep.  I didn't want to take a Melatonin because I have to drive about an hour each way later today and I don't want to be groggy for the drive (although it can be fun to try to keep yourself awake while driving.  wheeeeeeeeeeee)

Colds don't weaken immune systems. Weakened immune systems just don't kill off colds as easily.

sometimes pains just come and go and unless you have a really good doctor who wants to spend time testing you, you'll probably never know what causes them, but for me myself Ash, sometimes I have painful episodes like yours and they worry me when I'm feeling them, but it's usually caused by overindulging in gastronomical  consumables. As crude as it sounds, something else that helps is good ol'-fashioned flatulence.

Well, just got back from the doctor with my middle one.  He got the cast off, but can't participate in gym/sports for another 3 weeks.  So, looks like I spent $60 for him to play soccer in 1 game (which will be the very last one) and 1 practice ::)

I finally said my last and final goodbyes at my hospital where I've been volunteering for 2 1/2 years now and It was kind of painful cause I'm going to miss my comfort zone there.I've made so many friends that It's going to be pretty hard.Later on in the afternoon,My stomach was in knots just thinking about moving on,I got to do what I have to do and that is to most likely quit volunteering and give in my badge but we'll see what happens next week.I have to fill out paperwork for W2 forms then I'll work out the days and hours with my volunteer co-oridinator depends on what Pathmark gives me.

Give yourself enough time to get settled into the groove @ Pathmark, and then cultivate friends.
I'm sure you'll be surprised at how many pop up.
They always like the new fish.

I felt great earlier today, we went to the mall and I got myself some shoes, a silver necklace and earrings, and a purse, my daughter got a darling dress and accessories (totally 80's looking!  ;D ), my son got a cute outfit, we had a nice lunch.  Then I saw my sister-in-law and I got so pissed off.  She was "killing time" at the mall before she went to the gym. 

The mall is 35 minutes from her house (the gym only a 10 minute drive from her home).  She drove all the way to the mall to kill time but she couldn't stop by my house and see her dad?  My house is 3 minutes from the mall.  She hasn't seen her dad for weeks, months maybe.  >:( >:(

I'm a little nervous about tomorrow at Pathmark.I have to fill out W2 forms for taxes and paperwork.Plus,I might be seeing an orientation of some sort later on in the afternoon.My job coach will be there with me for some assistance.They might want me to start either this week or next week so I think I'll continue to volunteer 1 day instead of 2 days depending on the hours and days they give me at Pathmark.But the good news,I'm going to be discharged from my program hopefully soon so I can start working and not have to go to groups,instead I'll be seeing my job coach on the site and off the site.The good thing about this Pathmark is that it's convenient for me to go to Robin's house once in a while but Her And I will play it by ear and see what happens with the hours and days they give me.It's going to be a good month for me cause I'm working and feeling good once again.  :)

feeling thankful that Julie is home from her school's trip to France & Italy, she's beat, she's wore out, and sleeping very soundly in her bed. She scored big points by bringing daddy home a Firenze, Italy tee shirt.  8)

I had that last week, turned into a nasty cold though it has come and gone pretty quickly thankfully.

I really frikkin' HATE credit card companies (well, the "verified by visa" one).....hubby was trying to order something online last night that uses the "verified by visa" crap.  Well, we must've signed up for this on something a while ago because it was asking for a password.  Well, when we clicked on the "forgot password," and input the information they asked for, it said the information didn't match (because we just got new credit cards with new expiration dates & security codes) so he tried logging in with any password he might have used and got locked out.  So, I try to call today to get it reset and they won't let me because I'm not the "primary card holder."  They agree it's a joint account, but STILL won't let me do anything because he's listed first on the account.  >:( >:(  The thing that REALLY ticks me off is that this is an account that I signed up for and forged his signature on the application so I know when I filled it out, I put my info first, but they put him first on the account because he was making more $$ at the time. >:( >:(  Even better, they're only there from 8-4 so he's supposed to take time out of his WORK day to call them....what if he worked in a place where he couldn't make phone calls?  AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

I was wondering the same thing.  I've never formally been tested but my doctor says my sinus problems are probably a dust allergy and pollen when it gets worse.  I also usually get a sore throat when they're REALLY bad.

I did go to the bookstore today (which usually makes me happy - sitting in big comfy chairs reading), they had some kind of soothing jazz on the background music.  It was nice (but I was still grumpy).  I'm off to make me some tea now.  I think I do have some jasmine tea in the tea cupboard (if not, Lord knows I have plenty of other flavors to choose from).  Maybe I will see if the cable t.v. has a jazz music channel, I rarely listen to the radio stations on cable for some reason.

Her mother (my Mother-in-law) "doesn't want to get in the middle" since they're divorced.

My husband's way of thinking is this...He takes care of what he needs to take care of he can't worry about who's doing-or not doing something.  He knows that if he didn't take care of his dad no one else would.

According to my MIL my SIL "feels extremely guilty because she can't help out".  We're not asking for any help (or money) from any one.  Just a visit would be nice, even if she just came and sat with him for 1/2 hour.

Yeah, they sound totally different! My local smooth jazz radio station (KTWV, 94.7 FM) doesn't even play "jazz" type music sometimes; they throw in a lot of soft pop, like Phil Collins, Sade, and other artists who've hit the adult contemporary charts in the past 30 years. One time they even played Santana's "Oye Como Va" (an edited version, though). ::)

I tried to make the best of it by taking Vaughn shopping, and he was completely hell on two feet.....I was SO mad at him by the end of the day...I wanted to send him on a one way trip somewhere. >:(

What I do when the kids are fighting or bickering with each other is make them sit somewhere and hold hands.  Or, if we're out in public, they have to walk and hold hands.  ;)

I even made the 2 oldest hold hands on the way out to the bus stop once because they were fighting to see who could get out the door faster.....I made them wait until most of the kids were there and told them if I saw them let go of hands, they would do it every day....needless to say, the 5th grader was horrified and that was the last time they did it ;)

Well Ladies And Gentlemen,The relationship with Robin has finally dwindled.At first,Her And I were going to celebrate my new job this Sunday till she left a message tonight on my cell saying It's not a good idea to do this and she didn't want to lead me on so It's not going to happen anytime soon.I guess I never saw it coming.She said on the phone when she was talking to me that she'll keep her options open but wants to date other guys on Saturdays to see where this goes but then I told her she can always come back to me but even I don't think that's going to come about.I guess 4 days a week part time Isn't still enough for the both of us with her working full time.She thinks it's poverty compared to what she's doing,Then she kept telling me about being married,having an apartment and so on and so forth.I guess her parents put a lot of pressure and she didn't want to live in squalor.Well,the good news is I have a job now and focused on myself hoping for full time soon and she can take this relationship and shove it up her ass! http://www.inthe00s.com/smile/15/thebirdman.gif  >:(

What I do when the kids are fighting or bickering with each other is make them sit somewhere and hold hands.  Or, if we're out in public, they have to walk and hold hands.  ;)

I even made the 2 oldest hold hands on the way out to the bus stop once because they were fighting to see who could get out the door faster.....I made them wait until most of the kids were there and told them if I saw them let go of hands, they would do it every day....needless to say, the 5th grader was horrified and that was the last time they did it ;)

We are going to be moving into a new house soon, so today I was putting all the utilities in my name and when I called the water/sanitation company they said that it had already been switched to my name.  Apparently the builder took it out of his name and put it in mine.  Does anyone think that is odd for the utility company to allow someone else to put the account my name for me?

I was extremely close to my mother (even though we lived 500 miles apart), luckily I flew home and saw her before she died (that afternoon, actually).  I talked to my dad and he stayed home from work and I felt sad for him more than anything, really.  He's not the kind of person to express his feelings.  Me, I cry all the time.

I'm heading to to NY tomorrow to visit him and my sister, so it'll be nice.

Robin was such a confusing girl.It was just hard to understand her sometimes.Her And I were seeing each other for 2 1/2 years and with her full time and me part time,It just didn't connect.All she or they(Her Parents) cared about are basing a relationship on a resume,my bad work history and a paycheck.All these stupid conditions really didn't make any sense to me.Then she goes and tells me about marriage,living in an apartment together,being independent,Her being taking care of and those sorts of things.I mean she's not elderly,sick or handicapped So I don't know why she would be taken of if she can't even take care of herself sometimes from when We were together during those 2 1/2 years.I think Her Mother And Father were brainwashing her but I don't know for sure.

It's ok to be sad & I bet if you think about it, there are memories of her that will make you smile. Losing my mom broke my heart so I understand your sorrow & how you miss your mother. I love taking flowers to my mom's grave & thinking about some of those sweet things she used to do. I can't believe it's gonna be 19 years in July since she's been gone. Hang in there Carol & know she's got a permanant place in your heart & memory  8)

I just got a call from my daughter's school, saying that it was in "lockdown" mode.

When Melissa spoke to the Principal's Ass't., she was informed that apparently someone from the Yuba City area stated they were "headed into Butte County, to pick a school, and play target practice with school kids".

Needless to say, I'm a tad concerned.

Actually, that's similar to what they told me.. they said if it's not mono, it's just some random mystery virus..

They said if it doesn't go away in 7 days, this ought to have been enough time to do bloodwork and confirm what it is, but the doctor's estimation is by midway through next week I'll be in working condition.

The note he gave me is only long enough to give me off today, which means I have work Sunday as usual and school tomorrow.

Last month marked the passing of all 3 of my best friends.
They were killed in the SF earthquake of 1990.
They were all coming home from a concert. I was to be with them, only I was grounded that weekend.
They were on the bridge that split...the only way they were positively IDed were by their wallets.


The earthquake was in October of 1989.  I know because I lived there and the World Series was cancelled for a week and I had to hide under a table.

The odds against being right at the point where the bridge splits must be enormous.. I mean, that is really REALLY bad luck.

I had mono when I was in 8th grade and missed 6 weeks of school.  I had to have a teacher come over to my house a couple of days a week after school who brought me my work.  It really sucked.

I recall that there was only one car that actually got smashed when the upper level collapsed onto the bottom level, and a couple of cars might have fallen down as the section collapsed.  Must have really sucked to be in that one car that got pancaked.

Well,good news with Robin.The guy who she was dating,his name was Lee broke up with her after 2-3 weeks.I had a hunch that wasn't going to last long.She fell into another one of her same patterns just like she did 2 years before she had met me in 2002.She had on her profile that she wanted kids but he didn't so right after we got off the phone last night she had an email from match.com saying that Lee doesn't want to see you anymore.So,I think we're getting back together this Sunday for good,I'm not sure yet.I told Robin tonight that we shouldn't let money issues come between us,Let's settle it out together like a good couple should and work it out,I know we could.I'm willing to help her along the way if she needs any money like including the gas money for the car(half of it),I'm a good person.So she said,We'll see,we'll talk it over some more.And I said ok.Anyway,just thought I let you and you're probably annoyed at me right now and I don't blame you one bit.Maybe after all the negative stuff I had said about her,I was just angry at the time.Anyway,I'll keep you up to date with

The thing that tipped off the Police, was that the guy told his Pastor, and the Pastor reported it.

You know, I hear so many stories about these "thrill killers' who blame it on being picked on and harassed in school, or their parents.

I was bullied, berated, beaten up, and even sexually harassed by schoolmates, and a bus driver.
The Faculty did nothing to protect me, and it was worse if I was in casts!

My final week of work is almost over.Today is the 12pm-4pm shift.I feel just a little achy and painful from cart-pushing and cart smashing that my thumb was red and my 2 toes were all white yesterday.I'm also trying to change my footwear by using big boots instead of sneakers for protection and comfortable white socks instead of wearing dress socks.Using gel insoles are also a must to put inside the sneakers or boots.Plus I also have to change my way of dressing when the weather gets warmer and colder so I have to be prepared for it.The dress code is a button down shirt or T-Shirt,cap for the head,sunglasses,blue jeans(or black),boots or sneakers and white socks,That's basically it.Other than that,I'm feeling very good about working and now I have to change my routine if something happens to come up.It's good to work. :)

No I meant this week of work is over and now Pathmark came out with the new schedule today and it's looking pretty busy with another 20 hour week for me and don't forget the day off on Friday so I think I'll volunteer that day and make it a 24 hour week.It feels so good to be busy. :)

i heard about that. that was sad. last i heard the status of the pilot was "unknown," i mean, i know a lot of folks don't make it through something like that but i'm curious...

i'd also heard a house might have caught fire.

you know, i should read fewer newspapers and listen to less news radio, and read more nail-biting spy thrillers and listen to more vintage buttrock. what the hell am i doing? of course i'm upset and despondent about the state of things all the time!

anyway, i played with the band last night and between sets people kept going, so dude, you seem all right with a guitar, what you listening to these days? i'm like, C-span. and then i launch into a big thing about the gonzales hearings.

although, seriously? the gonzales hearings were awesome. that was some five-star congressional hearing too-hot-for-Cspan action.

that stuff goes by so fast, it's like a split second thing, yanno? those bros is so tight a little twitch on the joystick and you'll be dead in a moment. i feel about the blue angels the way i feel about the stunt drivers in 1970s action movies with car chases, and from me there's no higher praise than that. those effers used to do some crazy crazy stuff and 99% of the time they pulled it off and the blue angels are carrying that tradition on. every once in a while something like this is going to happen and that's in no way to diminish the tragedy of it... it's the risk of dying that makes em do it and makes us wanna watch. almost always it comes off okay, cuz they're THAT good, and that's the part about it that's beautiful, yanno? this testament to human skill and ability that's just beyond the beyond -- but one time in a million something goes wrong and the rest of us are reminded of what's really at stake. but what's really at stake... that's why people love the pageantry of stuff like the blue angels.

I agree with you here.  Those pilots know the risks .  That job is extremely complicated, each move they do is timed and has to be orchestrated perfectly...down to the second.  They know that any day they go out there could be their last.  I'm sure he died doing what he loved.

My husband was stationed at Pensacola NAS and that is the home base of the Blue Angels.  I used to watch them practice all the time...it was so awesome.  We still have our home in Pensacola and we are renting it out to a guy who is a maintainer for the Blue Angels.  He travels with them and everything.  I think I'll ask him what he knows about the incident.

I'm bummed about the Blue Angel crash. :(

I'm feeling pretty good this week now that I'm working again and thanks to Robin and my job coach Mr.Randolph for giving me the motivation I needed to help me to get back to work again.I'm meeting new customers,new co-workers every day and just having loads of fun. :)

i am so busy my head is spinning. I had one night off this week and today at 11 i go right back to working ..i'll be home later tonight, but the list of things to do around here is so long!

Feelin' okay today. I have an exam tonight, and I don't entirely feel prepared for it...but I have several hours to study for it. So wish me luck. :)
