Subject: What a weird evening... lost of "adult" stuff landing in my inbox
Written By: ChuckyG on 03/21/07 at 8:01 pm
Two things, I guess it's not a lot, but it's still more than normal (unless you count the porn spam my filter picks off)
The first is from an ad network I signed up for, but got too busy to try out. Turns out the ad codes they sent me were R rated (Girls Gone Wild stuff), glad I tried them before I integrated them into amIright. I politely declined and they promised to sort that out for me...
The second is the really strange one. It came last night, but I didn't see it until this morning. Someone from an "adult film company" was verifying that someone was employed in the maintenance of inthe80s.com for the past 7 years until I purchased the site from someone else I never heard of. I'm the sole owner, and aside from the people who volunteer to be editors and review entries, I don't "employ" anyone to do real maintenance of the site (programming, configuring the servers, etc).
Guess I should be flattered they thought the site was good enough to use as a fake resume entry.

That second one sure does seem bizarre. Maybe it was some ex-member trying to seek revenge or something?

unlikely. Considering they were looking for a job, it doesn't really reflect on me in any way.

Any chance it was a hacker, or prank player?
This site DOES seem to be a target for people to play sick jokes, y'know.
