I think I'm done with chat rooms for quite some time now.  Basically, if you haven't been following along, a troll we banned last year found his way into the chat room despite having been banned.  Since the software has a hole that big, I'm afraid of other security risks it might pose to the software, so I uninstalled it.

I'm not planning on a replacement anytime soon.  Maybe people who have an interest in that type of thing should agree on an IM client they all use and just use that instead.  i think Yahoo allows for groups of people to talk together.

Bummer but understandable. I have been in "chat rooms" via Yahoo with gemini & Bobby. I have also been in "chat rooms" on AOL with my almost my entire family-that was something concidering there are so many of us.  :o :o :o  So it can happen.

I think flashchat made the forum run slow.

Today I find myself really ticked off that the flashchat is gone! I never realized until now how much I relied on it and the friends I used to talk to on a daily basis! I can't believe that one person got the best of us! It's ridiculous! >:(

Nothing is troll proof. People register here and it isn't until a few days or even weeks later that we realize they are trolls.

I don't really think that can be done, this flash chat loads from a PHP file and I don't think you can embed that into the arcade, but who knows.

Oh yes, I remember that one. Anyone could type in any name, so it would be hard to tell who's really who. All kinds of lurkers could get in there. ::) Yes, it's been gone for a while now. I don't really miss it.
