Subject: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

Did anything funny happen to you today? What about something odd or annoying? Share your amusing antecdotes here.
I'll start.
I have the day off so I'm doing a bunch of cooking today. Earlier I was defrosting chicken (I already shared this in the "Don't you hate it" thread, but I have to repeat myself to tell the whole story.") I was on the phone, and trying to get the chicken into the baking dish with one hand, when I dropped a piece and disgusting chicken-water got all over the place, including on me. So I disenfected the kitchen, and myself, got the chicken into the oven, and walked into my bedroom. I noticed in the mirror that I had splashed oil all over my brand new San Francisco sweatshirt. I decided I'd better throw it in the wash right then so the stain didn't set, so I grabbed another sweatshirt from my drawer and threw it on. I looked in the mirror again, and there was white stuff all over the front of it. (I think it was oxy clean.) So I find another shirt, and head over to put the first two sweatshirts in the wash. When I opened the washer, there was a load of laundry sitting in there that's been in since Sunday! I thought my husband switched the loads, and he thought I did. So before I could wash my sweatshirts, I had to re-wash that load. Just one damn thing after another! ::)

Drove past a new housing complex that they are building and they have this temporary sign that has the address of the place and it says 1337.
How very leet of them. :)

I wonder if that's the actual numerical address. Probably is. ;)

I wanna live at an address with the number 1337. Too bad our streets aren't long enough to go up that high.

So? That doesn't mean he can't help someone look appropriate for a job interview. It obviously didn't hinder HIS ability to get a job.
