I still have the server I used for inthe00s with my hosting company (due to one "supposed" friend, whose stupid site can't be moved due to him forgetting the password). On Christmas Eve it actually died completely. Probably bad capacitors on the motherboard. They swapped it out, and the new server they replace it with appears to run much quicker. So I think that's the reason the site used to crash so much. It wasn't poorly configured, it was just a crappy server that was in it's final death throes.
