Subject: This song makes me think of...
Written By: La Roche on 11/24/06 at 1:07 pm
I'm sure I've seen this topic before, but I searched back through some 30 odd pages of topics and couldn't find it, so.. it's not really going to hurt if it's duplicate.
Which songs make you think of different inthe00s members?
I just listend to the song Psycho Holiday by Pantera and I thought of Howard 'cus I could just see him going to some foreign country and totally raising hell. Nobody would know what to make of our man Howard. ;D
Straight Edge by Minor Threat is perfect for Dom (Meat) he's totally of that mindset, dosen't feel the need to mess with his mind.

Anything Ramones makes me think of Erin.
Anything Badfinger AND anything Zeppelin makes me think of Mike.
I heard some Metallica yesterday, and I said "Hmm, Andy would like this".

If it was pre-97 I would. ;D
A song by Motorhead that.. the band in question eventually picked up and used themselves. R.A.M.O.N.E.S by Motorhead would be one that brings Erin to mind.
Erin, have you ever even heard that song? When the other guys fell out with Mark they changed some of the lyrics to 'C. Jay now hit the gas, Mark takes it up the ass.' and then when Joey died and in reference to Dee Dee's impending death (I mean come on, nobody can abuse heroin like that and survive) things became 'Dee dee, he left home, Joey call me on the phone.' In a piece of pop trivia, Lemmy Kilmister (i.e the face of Motorhead) saw and spoke to both Johnny and Joey Ramone just before they died. I believe he was the last person to speak to Joey before his death.

Not a particular person here but the local radio station plays Margaritaville quite a lot and it makes me think of the site because the song features as one of the misheard lyrics on the back of the AmIRight t-shirt.
Another thing from the local radio station is an advert for a concert by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The music they play I first heard here. Someone linked to a you tube vid of Christmas Lights in time with this 'song'.

Just recently, the song 'My Town' by Michael Stanley Band (US #39, 1983) reminded me of Brian LOL
Michael Stanley is from Cleveland, and 'My Town' has over the years become an anthemic song for the city of Cleveland, and when I first saw Brian's Indians avatar a while back, I was listening to this song

-The Beatles, Dire Straits and Genesis (among others) remind me of Hot Stuff 'cause I remember her saying she listened to "Walk of Life" at an amusement park growing up, and that she got into the Beatles in high school.
-New wave reminds me of Donnie Darko (especially A-Ha, Duran Duran and Depeche Mode) - he's gotten me into that stuff in more detail.
-'80s pop like Phil Collins, along with '90s R&B and alternative rock remind me of TV because he's said he's into stuff like that.
-Paula Abdul reminds me of Snozberries (even if we don't totally agree on her personally, we both like her songs and have gotten into some cool discussions lol).
-Britney, Gwen and alot of other late '90s and '00s pop and rock reminds me of Brian because he's pretty knowledgeable on it, as well as scattered older stuff.
Lastly...any love songs, disco, Fifties music, or most pop stuff in general covering about 1976 to 1994 reminds me of Erin. :) As well as more current bands that have a strong old schoolness (i.e. Rooney).

Me, too. I don't think Bobby will ever live that one down (which reminds me, I haven't spoken to him in a while-need to do that).
Sh'boom (Life Could Be A Dream) reminds me of Cat
I am curious why.
As for me, now, I can't hear "Tiny Dancer"-by Sir Elton John without thinking of Chucky and "Hold me Closer, Tony Danza."
