Well, Halloween was yesterday, so I was just wondering what candy everyone gave to the kids who knocked on your doors. Me, I bought a bag of Sunkist Fruit Gems( http://www.sunkist.com/products/united_states.asp ) and gave one to each of the trick-or-treaters.

I don't really like most of the generic candy they sell for Halloween, so I try to make sure I buy only the good, brand-name candy for the occasion. I wouldn't want to give the kids anything that I wouldn't eat myself. Back when I was young, I liked getting brand name chocolate like M&M's and Snicker's the most.

On a side note, I think the costume I wore to greet the kids at the door is getting a bit old. I wore a plastic ice hockey goalie's mask, like Jason from the Friday the 13th movies, which is probably outdated by now. I mean, the Friday the 13th movies were made over twenty years ago, so most kids today have never heard of them! And ice hockey goalies don't even wear that kind of mask, anymore!

I had planned on giving out Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, but none of the miserable brats in my building dropped by.  Who wants a Reeses PB cup??? :)

Whenever I buy Halloween candy, I buy 10 bags for giving out and 2 bags for me and 2 bags for Carlos.  ;D ;D. Usually I give out Reeses Peanut Butter Cups as well as Hershey bars but this year I didn't give out the cups (but I did buy 2 bags of them for Carlos) so I got 10 bags of the Hersheys. Oh, and the 2 bags I bought for myself-Hersheys with Almonds (I don't hand out candy with nuts because I know some kids have allergies to them).

We started out with the standards:  PB Cups, Almond Joy, Crunch, KitKat, Twix, etc.  When that ran out, we raided the kids' bags and took out all the stuff that we don't like and handed that out ;D  (Whoppers, plain Hershey's bars, some of the generic stuff)

we gave out an assortment of things. I made up these little trick or treat goody bags with assorted candy....when those were out, we gave out popcorn balls, and after that, huggies drinks. :D
