I miss school, I miss the loved ones I've lost this year and last year, and the pets I've lost too, and the lack of a job for me and my sister.
  All that  above Makes next year seem full of
possibility with all the mourning and loss we have endured the past two years.  Of course there were some positive highlights too, such as
my niece born in April and getting prettier and bigger every day.
AND if it's gonna rain today I wish it would start and get it over with. These clouds overhead are keeping the temperature cold. Well, cold for California anyhow.

I suppose it would be cheating if I didn't add that I got a C in Algebra simply through my perfect attendance. I was about 2 points off a C.. and the professor made them up seeing as I'd come to every class and tried my damndest.. and was still stoopid.  ;D

For the record, I think I might have...but that was many many many moons ago.

I'm pretty sure I didn't get such a grade on the history midterm exam I took today...mostly because there was an essay question on there that accounted for half the exam grade. :P The professor had given us a study guide last week, and it had seven essay questions on there...and so there was a 1 in 7 chance that a particular one would appear on the exam. (He said one of them would.) I guess I didn't study the topic (of the given essay question) adequately. :-[ Hopefully I'll get partial credit for what I did.

I'm in pain.....my wisdom tooth is acting up.  I need to have it pulled, but I don't have insurance (my coverage ended when I graduated from college) and with my dad out of work as long as he was, we couldn't afford a policy for myself or to even just have it done and pay out of pocket.  So.....I've been living on Advil for the last few days.  I just don't have the money to go to the oral surgeon for first a consultation and then the actual procedure.

My bad, I actually meant the oral surgeon, not the dentist. The oral surgeon I saw gave me a credit card application if it was something I needed. Yet, I have enough credit to reduce and I can't afford to pay on another card, so getting that was not an option and the money will have to be paid out by me. I did end up having to pay for a consultation out of my pocket which was $87. Oh well...  :(

As a bloke, I do not mind a bit of shopping...just depends on for what I am shopping.
For example, I am not above perusing bookstores, music vendors, antique shoppes (I happen to collect Old World objects), and I happen to wear Doc Marten's, because that is the only footwear I can wear, anymore. Medical reasons.

On the other hand, I'd be a World-Class yobbo, if I were to shop for things such as pet toys, colognes, and hobbies in which I have next to no interest, such as R.C. autos, or shipbuilding.

One note- I am a "Doctor Who" fanatic, and I have such a devil time trying to find any DW merchandise in the U.S.

That's actually a pretty common feeling.. I've felt it before. My advice is avoid long walks.. whether through crowded or uncrowded areas, lengthy, aimless walks alone are really bad for that feeling, they are.

That was me once.  I found that to kinda break the mold what you gotta do is find a small breakfast place.  One with a group of regulars, and a counter.  Go there everyday,sit at the counter, even if it is for just a cup of coffee.  Sit down and have it.  It may take a few days, but at some point you will start, or someone will start talking.  You will with a bit of effort find yourself part of the morning crew, that will build you up for the rest of the day, give you a bit of confidence.  Hey, it's worth trying.

I think we're all invisible to some degree. Not everyone outside my house is going to acknowledge my existance either.  This is just another thing where you need to speak up about. I was at the mall on Saturday and I was in line to get pizza and there was no one helping, so a big line of people started growing behind me. Finally someone came, and they asked the guy behind me what he wanted. I felt so little and small and well, ignored. But, hey, I let it go and just excused it as an oversight. We just have to think that, "Okay, maybe because I'm short, they couldn't see me." or "Maybe they thought I was with the group ahead of me." We can assume, but we can never be sure - so we shouldn't blame society for our own assumptions.

One time, there was 7 of us went to an IHOP in California. We sat in a booth with a chair at the end of the table. I was in the middle. The waitress took everyone's order BUT mine? We called her back to say that she forgot me and told her my order. Of course what happened was everyone got their meal but I didn't. We called the manager over to tell him what happened. Of course THEN my order was put in. Everyone else was done with their meal by the time I got mine. I really hate the the feeling that everyone was waiting on me but everyone told me to take my time and they understood that it wasn't my fault. Talk about feeling invisable. But at least my family KNEW I was there even if the waitress didn't. (I was also fighting a bit of a bug at the time so I felt like sh!t to begin with.)

Erin and I visited an abandoned insane asylum today. The town it was located in (along with the people) were... so strange. It was like a completely different world. We weren't sure if it was the right one, or not, so we didn't go inside. I got a few outside pictures of it, though. We plan on going back very soon.

Yesterday (seeing as I missed it) was a fairly sedate day for me, very nice.

Went to work but the job was already nearly done.. because it rained it took us a while to finish but nobody was exactly working very hard, we finished up at about 2 and went to the pub for a couple of hours, nice way to finish the week.

I'm still trying to get over the fact that I was laid off at Au Bon Pain the other day but what I have to do is to move on and see what else is out there cause after 9 months,It was definitely an accomplishent and I'm so glad I've made it this far.Now,It's time to start over again with a clean slate and a new leaf. ;)

I was told by my job coach this afternoon on my cell phone that I got laid off.The reason was because of a business slowdown and workers who should be muti-tasking which I mentioned to you months back and that's what the supervisor who's working together with my job coach had told him.The news really shocked and upset me because I've been working so damn hard after 9 months which is excellent and now I'm out of a job for the moment.Now how can a cafe be slow when a hospital runs 24 hours a day,That's ridiculous.But anyway,I thought I'd come on here tonight and talk to you all and later on in the week tell the other rest of the people including my therapist who knows the supervisor well,case manager,friends,family and I already told my girlfriend which she's not too happy about and she's ready to call it quits by January 2007 if I can't hold down a job or even get a job by that time.But anyway,I'm sorry about the bad news tonight.Tomorrow,I give in my outfit and get 2 paychecks which I'm due tomorrow and one I think next week and that's the end of that.Another job(s) is/are coming soon.My job coach will help me with a Babies R Us application and another department store.Things are looking good but not so good now.Now my Saturdays are free and boring and I'm not on the schedule anymore.Tomorrow I will thank the supervisor greatly for giving me the oppportunity to work in Au Bon Pain.So,That's about it.Take care and I'll talk to you soon and remember to please pray for me.  :(

I got my hair trimmed yesterday, but now I'm thinking of cutting the length in the back off, I look worse with a mullet than I do with short hair. I better stick with overall long hair(once I get a %^$&ing job that will allow it).

If you're willing to accept that career over whatever you had been going to school for, by all means, go for it.. but don't give up.. College is hard for everyone at first.. it just takes a wee bit of time.

Okay yeah.....I've been away from the board because of my wisdom teeth.  I have a consultation later today with an oral surgeon because I have one that has to come out and 3 others I can buy a little more time with.  I've got antibiotics and painkillers with me, so I should be alright....although the tooth won't get pulled until the infection clears up.

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth surgically removed six years ago. They were growing crookedly into my mouth. ^ hope ya get yours taken care of.

Thanks, but I'm still nervous.  I've had a tooth pulled before , but this is different.  I'm hoping they'll let me bring my iPod with me so that I can make myself as oblivious as possible while he's yanking a tooth out.
